Wanted to make my old MagSafe charger compatible with my new MacBook Pro so that I didn't have to lug my charger back and forth to work. Easy to install and works flawlessly.

I was able to find an older AC adapter on clearance at about half the cost of what it goes for in stores and, paired with this, have a fully functional and compatible charger at great savings. The magnet is strong and I'm not worried about losing it. No, it doesn't looks as nice as an actual Magsafe 2 charger, but the savings more than make up for it.

This converter works very well. It stays attached and I think it’s a great cheap alternative to buying a whole separate cord.

This is the best $10 I've spent in a long time. Saved me $80 by not having to buy a new power adapter when I upgraded to a new Macbook Pro!

We had an older model MacBook Pro that finally wouldn’t run the newer software that was needed and we had a spare power brick for it that served no purpose. When my daughter received the newer version of MacBook Pro the new/old power brick had a different connection end than needed but all else was the same. This converted it perfectly & easily and for a lot less money than buying a second new power brick for the new MacBook.

Made my old charger work with my newer macbook pro. Saved me 80$ and it works just the same.

My laptop charger cable broke and I couldn't find MagSafe2 cables only MagSafe. So I bought this and the cable and I got my charger working for 20 bucks instead of buying a new one for 70 bucks.

Works perfectly right out of the box. Magnet is strong and adapter worked like a charm as expected.

There's not much to say about this, really — it's cheap and it gets the job done perfectly.

I love great engineering and the MagSafe charging connector is certainly that. When Apple changed from the MagSafe to the MagSafe 2 some genius beautifully engineered a wonderful adapter to make older Macs connect to the newer chargers. This item is small, magnetic, which causes it to stay with the cord or the Mac (randomly) when disconnecting the power. Without checking every time it is easy, *too easy*, to forget or lose it. It is extremely easy to use, but also very easy to misplace or lose, which wouldn’t be the case if there was a setscrew that permanently attached it to the cord or the PC. This is a must have for owners of older MacBooks, MacBook Pro’s, and MacBook Airs.

This piece of equipment produced by Apple is probably the least expensive you'll find from them. ONLY $10.00! It was very considerate of Apple to enable long time Apple users to convert their old computer power chords to the new format required of the new computers. Now one can have spare power chords lying around the place to supplement the latest power chord that comes with the newer computers.

Nothing special about this. If you want a Magsafe power supply to work on a laptop that uses Magsafe 2 then this is your product. It would be better if Best Buy sold Magsafe 2 at all the stores instead of select stores.

For all of us out there with older MacBook power hookups this easy adapter allows you to use the older model on the new laptops. Easy magnetic snap on and off. Uses the same features quick disconnect if the cord is yanked. This is a easy good cheap solution than buying another power adapter. Just make sure to keep it somewhere secure when taking it off because it is fairly small in size.

This is perfect if you have a spare compatible power adapter lying around. I like to have the ability to leave a power adapter in and move my Mac Book Pro around instead having to unplug the power adapter and then moving it and then plugging it back in. Instead of buying a new power magsafe 2 cable for around $80 and some change, I just bought this for $10 and I have a spare cable.

This was easy to use and works great. Much better than buying a new charger.

I read some reviews that made me skeptical about buying this, but for $10 I figured it was worth a shot. I lost a charger during a storm due to a surge and only had one charger that was only compatible with the MagSafe 1. I looked up a new charger and Apple wants $70 for a charger. I opted to buy this adaptor for $10 and it has worked great since.

This magsafe converter works completely as advertised and I have had no issues with it at all. The magnets are strong and I am constantly attaching and disconnecting the adapter as I use my Macbook on the go often. The materials seem durable and resistant to scratching.

Solid build quality and works amazing. Never failed. Still using. Worth every penny spent on it. Highly recommended.
