Not a whole lot to say about a keyboard but I like it! It's better than the first generation. I bought this to replace the first gen that came with my iMac a couple of years ago. This keyboard came out around the same time but they weren't shipping with the iMacs yet or came with the models that were at BB, so I felt a little slighted but got over it and used the default one. haha Fast forward to now and had a few rewards certificates, so I felt it was a good time to upgrade and glad I did. They recently came out with the Magic Keyboard 2 with numeric keypad, which I tried but it was a tad bent so I returned it. I will eventually get that one to replace my full sized wired keyboard from Apple that sits in my home office. Although I prefer having the full-size keyboard because it's easier to type numbers but I asked myself how much I really used it and if I really "needed" it on this iMac. I went with the smaller one because it's compact, smaller footprint and I didn't want to get a bigger desk pad, which the keyboard and mouse sit on. I like how I don't have to stretch far from my keyboard to get to the mouse and it's a space saver. Also, if I ever want to travel with this one, I like the size. It's easy to type on and the keys fell nice. Not sure what else to say about it. It has a good weight on it. It's really user preference, wants and needs.

I purchased this keyboard with the sole intent to use for my iPad Pro 12.9. I wanted to be able to rattle off big emails quickly and without using the touchscreen. It has been very portable and useful to me! The benefit of being able to charge it with a lightning cable has been nice and the battery life is extremely good. It feels durable light and of good quality. It’s nearly as good as typing on a MacBook Pro 2015-2016 era models. Worthwhile purchase, a bit on the pricey side for a portable keyboard but so far I believe it was worth it.

Great keyboard. Easy to use. Just 'plug & play (it's wireless). The built in rechargeable battery is a life saver. Lightweight and the perfect size. I love it.

No frills, quality keyboard. Very thin and the footprint is small. Keys are on par with what you would expect from Apple. Setup was easy, just plug in the lightning cable to your computer and it will configure and you can use it wirelessly. I for some reason tried to have it connect wirelessly at the onset but it didn't work. A quick search on google and It was easy from there. Battery life is still to be determined but i like that i can just charge it like a device and not constantly feeding it batteries. Good range.

Its has such a great size, not to small but not to big. Its easy to move around the house and or take with you on trips when you just need the feel and use of a keyboard. Its great that its connected through Bluetooth and the battery on it lasts a long time before you have to charge it. The keys are soft but allow for quick typing. Plus its white and it definitely matches my all white mouse and laptop. When not in use i can just tuck it away in my desk drawer and its out of sight. love love it

I was having problems with my old keyboard and went to the store to see if it paid to repair or replace. Turns out they had this bad boy on sale. Saved $10! When I got home, I opened it up and was able to use it right out of the box. All I had to do was plug it in to charge. It's a lot easier then the old one where you had to grow your thumb nail long to unscrew it and get the batteries out. This way works better and my nails are now back to even. It also seems more compact but in a good way. It seems easier to use and less bulky then the prior. Nice improvements.

Very nice feel to the keys, very compact. Great battery life. If I made one change it would be to have a number pad on the right side. I like this keyboard very much

This keyboard replaces my 8 year old keyboard which came with my iMac. Sadly, my iMac keyboard reached EOL and stopped working. However, this keyboard is an improvement - it is sleeker and has a built-in rechargeable battery. I charged it a month ago and it's still going. The keys use a different mechanism than my old one and I'm still adjusting a bit to them. This is not a bad thing as I think they're better. I like this keyboard!

This is a great keyboard for Apple and non-Apple devices. This keyboard has a low profile with soft keys. If you’re looking for a mechanical-style keyboard that has lots of “click” to your keystrokes, this is not the keyboard for you. But if you want a sturdy keyboard with a sleak, quiet design, this is the keyboard for you. This keyboard works with Bluetooth so you can use it on Apple and non-Apple computers or tablets. I have three Magic Keyboards. I have two paired with Apple computers at home, and another paired with my Windows-based computer for work. The Magic Keyobard does not have a separate number pad. If you use the number pad regularly, you may want to consider another keyboard.

Not only do I feel that it types better and more easily than my older apple keyboard, but I am ecstatic to not have to use anymore batteries. After thinking about the countless batteries I went through since I first got my iMac in 2011, I feel even if it's pricey, it will save me money in the long run.

Typical Apple quality works very well easy to set up but pricey

The keyboard was expensive. I have been using the previous magic keyboard which uses AA batteries. The keys are larger and the feeling and the action of the keys feel more like a macbook pro keyboard. Pairing was very simple by just plugging in the lighting cord. Charging is just as simple. In my opinion it is great improvement over the previous magic keyboard.

Two things that I was looking for when purchasing this keyboard were 1) design and 2) ability to switch seamlessly between multiple devices. This keyboard *almost* fit both criteria If you are looking for a white/silver keyboard to compliment your workstation, this is the one to get. The aluminum frame and white chiclet keys are compact and well-built. The keys are wide but a little bit shallow. Pairing it with a Mac is as simple as connecting the keyboard with the included USB-to-lightning cable and the Mac. Built-in battery is convenient and can be charged with using lightning cable. Switching between devices is a little tricky because you will have to manually disconnect from one computer first before connecting to the other. Instead of going through the hassle of,I ended up leaving Bluetooth connection with my MacBook and use it as a wired keyboard with my work PC laptop. Overall, the Magic Keyboard works well with the Mac. It is solidly built with beautiful design. It is on an expensive side comparing to offerings from the like of Logitech which offers multi-device connectivity.

I am an Apple fanatic so this review may be a tad biased. However, when it comes to compatability Apple does it right. The keyboard paired right with my MacBook Pro and also has amazing battery life! I have used this for about 2-3 hours a day for going on 1 1/2 months now and only had to charge it right when I got it!

Good keyboard, not sure if it is revolutionary or Magic as Apple says. I don't have any complaints, it connects and always works. Which I've had issues with bluetooth keyboards in the past. The charge last long, but I haven't had the unit all that long yet. It is very responsive typing. I like the small footprint giving me more space on my desk. The Up and Down arrow keys are small, which worried me, but I has not been an issue as I realized I don't use those keys very often.

Great compact keyboard. Slim clean look that doesn't take up much room on your desk. Easy portable as well. Pairs well with Magic Mouse

It took Apple a number of years to finally get on the built in rechargeable battery wagon but they did. if you have a Mac Mini or older iMac thats in need of a new keyboard, you can't go wrong buying this one. Pros: Key travel and feel are great. Keep in mind travel is shallow but you do feel it when you strike a key so all in all a good keyboard to use everyday. Uses a lightening cable, included, to charge. Can be used when charging Setup was easy Cons: Expensive No dedicated number pad up/down arrows are small and close together

This keyboard is perfect for my iPad as well as my Mac. One of the keys no longer worked on my Mac and I bought this keyboard to solve the issue. It is very light and easily transportable...very happy with my purchase!
