Customers are saying

Customers regard the MLA22LL/A TKL Wireless Magic Keyboard favorably for its excellent battery life, high-quality keyboard, ease of use, and compact size. Many appreciate its wireless functionality, lightweight design, and sleek aesthetics. However, some find the price to be a bit high and the key travel short. The lack of a number pad is also a common point of criticism.

    Still My Favorite Wireless Keyboard

I recently purchased a new M1 Mac Mini and I needed a keyboard. Having used iMac's for many many years (which ships with the magic keyboard), I knew this was the right keyboard for me and my new Mac Mini. Form Factor As a commercial photographer and digital artist I use a medium sized Wacom tablet every day in my workflow. The Wacom tablet takes up a fair amount of room, so the small form factor of the magic keyboard is just perfect and always has been for me. It's thin, it's sleek and super comfortable to type on. Battery Life The battery life of the magic keyboard is amazing. It's built in battery lasts for months before I have to recharge it (and that's with keeping the "On" switch set to "On" 24/7.) When you do need to charge the keyboard however, it's as simple as plugging in a lighting cable from your keyboard straight into your mac. Charging is relatively quick and it's super convenient. When your keyboard is plugged in and charger, you're still able to use it. (Unlike the Magic Mouse - which has a terrible charging experience). Longevity Again, I've owned several iMacs over the years and I can tell you that I've personally never had a problem with any of my Magic Keyboards. Over time, I think the design has gotten better, the typing experience has gotten better and the battery life has gotten better. If you own Apple Products, you just can't go wrong with the Magic Keyboard.

Wireless or not, the keyboard is easy to type on and the battery lasts for a very long time. I was already accustomed to compact and wireless keyboards so the device was straight forward for me. Fast connection and minimal lag, its much better than the iPad onscreen keyboard. It pairs fast with either the iPhone or iPad so I love it. I just don’t have anywhere to store it so the box and plastic sleeve are reused. Only time will tell how long this keyboard will remain operational.

A step up from the previous generation wireless keyboard, unnecessarily expensive however. It works, it's a keyboard. Happy that I don't have to replace batteries anymore. Battery life is awesome, works while plugged in to charge also. Not 5 stars because of price!!

The keys have less travel than my previous apple keyboard and my current dell laptop. Feels a bit weird to me but the built quality is good and no more buying batteries.

    Best Keyboard at a Price

First off this is an expensive keyboard. And it does not have backlighting..All that being said this is my favorite keyboard. For me it is the perfect size and just seems to effortlessly conform to my hands. Since it is Bluetooth I can set it anywhere on the desk that I want with no cable interfering with anything on my desk. I think the tactile feel of the keys is superb. The tilt of the keyboard seems to be just right, not too flat and not to high. For me in every way the performance of this keyboard would rate 5 stars. Personally the lack of backlighting does not bother me one bit. However, I did deduct one star because as with everything lately Apple [see the prices on the new MacBook Pros] sems to charge too high a price for the article. $69 to me would seem a fair price . Still having said that this is the best keyboard that I have ever used.

At first after I upgraded from the first wireless keyboard it took some getting used to. Different clicky buttons but very tactile. It's a great keyboard, now with rechargeable batteries. Matches great with the Magic Trackpad 2.

My Apple Keyboard that came with my Imac after 5 years finally quit. Ended up picking the new Magic Keyboard instead. Love the way it feels and really appreciate not needing batteries. Just plug it in and let it charge up!!

I needed a keyboard for my 2018 Ipad Pro and I looked at a lot of generic keyboards but when I saw this one I knew it was the right choice. It is not plastic, it is machined aluminum and the keys are amazingly responsive. It is rechargeable, wireless bluetooth capable and for the money worth every penny as the keys for screen adjustments on an iMac correspond to the Ipad Pro and do the same things. Could not be happier with my purchase.

The Apple keyboard looks great and exactly matches the styling of my mac book pro. The bluetooth connects quickly and offers good customization options through software. The keys feel good and are comfortable to use. The only thing that bothers me slightly is how small the keyboard is. The arrow keys in particular are too small. But other than that, everything is very nice.

The keyboard feels amazing to type on. Control Keys at the top are intuitive. Rechargeable is nice. Only issue are there bottom right arrow keys. They feel a little too small if you have thick finger. Other than that. It's great

    Nice Keyboard but "Feels" Cheap

I was surprised by how cheap this keyboard feels, nothing at all like the older Apple Bluetooth keyboard. I guess it's because it's so light. Holding it in your hands, it feels delicate, like it would break easily. But that is the only negative I have about it, because it's obviously well built, well designed, and works flawlessly. It's a dream to type on especially if you have a light touch -- key action is buttery smooth. The big plus, though, is that it is rechargeable, so you don' t have to mess with replacing batteries every few weeks. You just plug it into a USB port for a few hours, and so even while it's charging, it's still working -- it becomes, for the duration of your charge, a corded keyboard. The moment you unplug it, it jumps back into Bluetooth mode. That was the selling point for me and I'm quite happy with it.

I've had the Original Magic Keyboard for about 5 years now and even with me using rechargeable batteries it doesn't seem to last very long. With this updated Magic Keyboard not needing batteries, it only requires a recharge maybe once every month or so. The results or night and day. I highly recommend this updated keyboard to anyone that still uses the original.
