Customers frequently mention the ease of use, quality, and design of the Optical Mouse as significant strengths. Many appreciate its compatibility with Apple products and the comfortable feel. However, some users point to issues with battery life, the wired connection, and the scroll wheel's functionality. A shorter-than-ideal cord length was also a recurring concern for some customers.

the wired mouse works so much better than the wireless mouse when you are covering a large screen such as the 27 inch iMac. the wired mouse remembers its location better and does not drop signal like the wireless.

This mouse is a little less versatile than the wireless one, but at least you don't have to change the batteries twice a month !! Well worth it....

In an emergency (after I ruined my old keyboard/mouse with a spill) I purchased a non-Apple wireless keyboard/mouse a couple years ago. My reason was bluntly simple: couldn't afford the $100 combo price to replace the original Apple items.
Flash forward less time than I'd had the original gear & the replacements need replacing! I went back to this classic mouse because the rolling ball provides much more versatility with Final Cut Pro and I NEVER HAVE TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES. One thing I had to get used to was the number of functions that can be performed with this mouse just by pressing/programming the different regions. But it's nice to have more than just a L/R & roller combination of options.

Exactly what I needed. Not too big, which is great since my desk is small. The little ball is quite effective, makes the job a lot easier. Plus, store attendant was very helpful.

The scroll ball on this mouse enables the user to scroll in any direction if supported by the host application. This feature I truly like. I don't find it great as a two button mouse. I wish it had two actual buttons to click instead of having to just apply more pressure to one side of the mouse or the other. I often lean to the right causing a right click of the mouse when I don't want to. I have disable the two button aspect and instead Control-Click the mouse to bring up the right click options.

This mouse works ok and my first one lasted for years, so they're pretty sturdy. But the cord is awfully short. It plugs into the left side of the computer and by the time you wrap it around to the right side (for us right-handed people) you don't have a lot of mobility. If you're left handed, it won't be a problem. Another small issue is the scrolling button. It's very tiny and sometimes doesn't work very well.

Since it is an Apple product, this is an excellent choice for a MAC. Easy to use and quality of Apple products. Just plug in and go!
