    Be careful with trade-in phones

It took me days to fix the quirks and problems introduced by Circut City into the refurbished iPhone I bought. The problems came into existence because the store did not / does not have a solid process for transferring a persons data and settings from the old to new phone. At circut city you first get asked to surrender your trade in before they hand over your new phone. Of course you have to have a phone backup done. However the backup does not save your mobile carrier details contained on your eSIM. So when you try to restore everything to the new phone, and updates come along with that, is where the problems start. Every time I’ve upgraded my phone after buying directly from Apple I’ve had zero transitioning problems because they trust you to have old & new phones side by side so the two phones talk to each other directly to move over all data, even the important data that does not get backed up. After you mail the old phone back to them in their box. Zero Problems. Circit city needs to revise their trade in process so that their genius team takes over from the BEGINNING with old and new phones. Not doing this only causes the customer 5 hours of grief having to languish around in their store while their genius team TRYs figuring things out. And even afterwards you start getting hit with the little quirky after effects.
