Basically this version of the iPad mini is useless none of the apps I wanted to get for the kids will work because it does not update to ios10. I wanted a cheaper iPad because they are young and will damage it but this was a huge flop.

I purchased this refurbished iPad mini as a second iPad for my grandson. He is 5 and very hard on his electronics...but he loves them just the same. It came in excellent condition (looks brand new!) and runs like a champ. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This is really a great buy. I'm thinking about getting one for myself at this price :)

Came in a brown box. The iPad looks in great condition. Came with after market charging cord. The one I received will NOT update to the newest operating software. The version on the iPad is 9.3.5. I tried multiple ways to update - no success. I now have a nice iPad mini that is out of date.

I bought this as a gift for my mother, who loves playing app games and wanted a bigger screen for Facetime and messaging. For those purposes this older model of iPad mini works fine. The one I received was fully refurbished, and it has an older version of iOS on it, which happens to be the newest version that this model of iPad will run on without severe lag. That iOS is the last version of iOS 9 before iOS 10 came out, and if you do get the refurb you'll get a warning against jailbreaking it. The refurb comes with a one year limited warranty, but only if you don't jailbreak it to update the iOS. So basically you have a nice looking, fast little iPad that won't download the majority of apps in the app store, but it will run most native apps. There are also plenty of games that still download fine. The display looks great and the battery is fantastic, hours and hours on a single charge. If you want a machine that's basically for playing games and the occasional Facetime or message, this iPad mini will work fine. If you need something more fully functional than that, look for a newer model.

For the price it was in good condition and worked fine. Just a few minor scratches.

Enjoying the refurbished iPad mini, got it for a great price but was disappointed in not receiving the original Apple charger to it but instead a knock off charger. Thankfully I already had a charger.

The I-pad is awesome. The kids love it. I purchased this item for the children in my daycare to use with an educational program. The item shipped fast, the price was very reasonable. I am happy with the items performance. Great customer service communication. I love Best Buy products, I have been a customer for years.

I bought this primarily as a reader. Nook reader works great but you can’t use Kindle on this machine. That was disappointing, but I just use iBooks instead. There are a lot of apps that don’t work with this version of iPad mini, like ESPN. it’s a bit slow, but it is adequately serving the purpose I bought it for.

I purchased an iPad mini for my daughter as a backup device. The refurbished unit I received was in like new condition and has performed perfectly. Will buy another one if the need arises.

The tablet was perfect for a little one the only problem I had was the charger wasn't charging that came with it.

Ipad mini was in great shape, almost new. No scratches and works fine. I bought two for my kids school but only got one charger. Good inexoensive option for kids.

Although the iPad is refurbished and lags because something was wrong with it at one point, it was a great deal. The price was great for what we got. The only issue has been how slow it gets sometimes and it has been like that since turning it on upon delivery.

The product works great! As soon as I opened the box and set it up, I immediately started downloading apps! I’m really satisfied with this iPad :)

Unable to load simple apps food my grandson seems either outdated or too complicated.

I bought this for my daughter and it’s a good iPad with a few exceptions. I can’t download kid apps.....saying it needs a 10.0 iOS.....don’t really understand

This is, of course, a pre-owned unit. As such the technology is older. The unit is much slower than newer models, but it serves my purpose, which is to process payments when I travel to sell product.

Needed to b upgrade seemed jail broken. May need to do it myself

Got some use out of this but the system is too old so it runs real slow good for FaceTime

This turned out to be so old that it was incapable of having the IOS upgraded to 10; apparently, Best Buy believes that the description should have alerted me to the fact that it was 1st generation, but for a naive purchaser, I found it to be lacking the transparency that I'd like to have seen on the website. If you're prepared for the problem, the price was ok. I returned mine.
