The condition of the phone was good, but not so thrilled with the battery life. If this were truly refurbished, I would expect that to include a new battery; however, based on performance thus far, this phone has about half the life of the iPhone 5 it replaces. This also isn't the first unlocked iPhone I purchased from Best Buy. The last one had exceptional battery life, so this one may have come from a different refurb vendor. If so, Best Buy needs to cancel their contract and find someone else.

I ordered a refurbished phone but what I received was a pre-owned phone and some of the functions did not work.

Same problem as with my old phone. I will need to return this one and I guess invest in an iPhone 6 or 7. What I had was a 5 and this one is having the same problem cutting off at about 45-50 percent battery level. Very annoying. I have app refresh and everything turned off. Just can't figure out the problem. It was great the first few years!

We called customer service and they sent us another phone because of the battery kept dying. After receiving the replacement phone the that battery kept dying too so we just went to BatteriesPlus and had them put a new battery in the phone. No problem since then so far.

I am very disappointed by this purchase. It says refurbished online but they sent me a pre-owned one. It even says pre-owned on the shipping slip. It looks kind of old and was completely out of power when it first arrived. It looks like they didn't even bother to test it. I gave it two stars because the lady who did the return for me was friendly.
