Purchased the computer for my grandson and he love it.

Terrible as heck! The condition was 4/10 the performance was worse. It kept glitching and that was super annoying. Took it to Best Buy to get help and ended up just returning it and paid the extra money to get a refurbished Mac air from apple. Totally worth it

I love my lap top most of the time. The times I don’t love it are when it freezes, doesn’t work, or the mouse and curser all of a sudden disappear. However these things have only occurred a few times

I just want to say that I looked thoroughly to all type of laptops in stores, online.., to find the perfect or the whole package laptop that I want for my home for web browsing, entertainment, software like photoshop, video editing as well as studying, with perfect size of screen, weight, performance, battery life and design and I found all these only in this laptop (because I tried more than one (Asus, samsung,..) and I discover I was wrong by trying to avoid using a new OS (mac) because it's easier and better in all the way. thanks to my wife she saved me from my stubborn idea about apple and not doing a huge mistake by not buying this great macbook.

Received the MacBook quicker than expected, but the condition was not as website stated. Couple of very noticeable dime size deep scratches, and the frame was bent on the edge as if it was dropped. Best Buy trade-in value was $35 for the same model (MD101LL/A) MacBook they charged $468 for.

It was from 2012! Thank goodness I have a friend who advised me to return it! And get something brand new! And I did! Not sure why Best Buy is selling Refurbished old Macs! I will refrain from buying items like that

After four months, the charger broke, I went to an authorized apple repair shop and spend $49 for a diagnostic check and bought a new charger for $79 from Best Buy.Expect this type of problem when you buy a pre-owned product.

Laptop runs pretty slow, USB & charger ports were all dusty and dirty when I got the package. I didn’t realize how old the laptop would be- made in 2012 and we’re in 2020, not sure how long it’ll last me and I paid nearly half the price of a new one I should’ve just bought a new one. The shipping also took an entire month and a half.

Purchased for my son who needed it for school. We opened the box, everything exterior looked good. Than we powered on the laptop and there was a message, drive not found need disk. Packed up the laptop and drove to Best Buy to see geek squad. When they powered it on they said either the hard drive was dead or there was no hard drive. What!!! How do you sell a laptop with no hard drive. Luckily I could return and get my money back. We ended up purchasing a brand new one.

Most keys on the keyboard stopped working completely after a month, the keys that do work randomly type themselves. bluetooth doesn't work, runs so slowly. the worst computer i've ever had. it tells me no updates are available when i'm 5+ updates behind, when it restarts it's always in "safe boot" which makes it impossible to use. You're supposed to hold shift & restart to fix this, but it takes 30-50 times of me holding shift & restarting before it decides to reswt out of safe boot. I have never been so angry with an inanimate object before in my life.

My daughter has had this for less than 2 months and she can't download documents or video for college because it doesn't support it. The version inside is 2012 so too old. And now the outside case is seperating. Per Best Buy I can' t return because we didn't find this out in time. We had 2 weeks for us to return. What a waste of money. Sure hope Apple has better customer service.

This product was very used. The buttons were faded, the machine was scratched up.

It was a nice laptop but whoever owned it before I got it had their information still logged in so it was never properly wiped clean. I had to wipe it and it took forever to update and load. Waste of money in my opinion! Took it back and got my money back, get a brand new one instead.

I rated this MacBook Pro five stars across the board and it is well worth every one of them and more. The computer is everything I could ask for and exceeded my expect ions significantly. I have been running Linux Ubuntu for the past two years as a dual boot on my Sony Vaio, which led me to wanting a Mac. I am not a fan of Windows by any means and I'm even more turned off by the various laptop models for it on the market. The MacBook is a much better computer in both hardware and software than the competition. I won't go into too much detail here other than to say the operating system is the best I have ever used, the hardware feels much more durable and looks better than other laptops, and the applications available for Macs are great. I also love the gesture functions on the mouse pad. Anyone who may be considering making the switch you should stop thinking about it and do it. You can't get the full feeling of how nice these computers are until you actually own one and get a chance to experience all of the neat features and software on them. The best thing is that I have owned mine for two months now and still get excited every time I power it on to use it. It is actually fun to use. There is no comparison to windows, it is like comparing apples to oranges as far as I'm concerned. It is a good idea to watch videos on using the Mac on the Apple website. They help Windows users make a smooth transition. Anything else you are unsure of how to do just look it up on the internet. I have seen complaints about features that were lacking that people just didn't take the time to learn how to do. Some things you have to use key combos, such as zooming in on the desktop. Also, I've heard people complain that it doesn't do copy and paste, and then some explained how but told them only one way. You can copy and past by using a 2 finger click, or command-c to copy and command-v to paste (command-a for copy all). Those are just a couple things I hear a lot of complaints about. Don't be lazy, it does about anything you need to and plenty of things you never knew you needed to. As for the reviewer that complained about running windows and accessing each operating system from the other, well, try using VMware or Parallels. It may not be possible but worth looking into. Using a virtual machine is not a true dual boot, but actually running Windows as a Virtual machine inside of the Mac operating system. I know on my Windows PC I did a true dual boot with Ubuntu and was able to access files on Windows while using the Linux operating system, however I cannot access Linux when using Windows. This leads me to believe Linux is once again superior to Windows, and it is actually Windows that is the problem. Perhaps Apple has restricted that feature for security reasons. But why people still want to run both is beyond me. Buy the Microsoft Office version for Mac and be done with needing to share files. Or use Apple's software called iWork, which can export files as .doc or .xlxs etc. Personally I use Open Office which is Linux and free. It works great and does everything I have ever needed to do. I am going to buy the iWork ones though to take advantage of some very cool features they have. Hope this review helps. Buy a Mac and thank yourself. If you are a silver member you have 6 weeks to take it back if you don't like it and there is not a restocking fee. I exchanged mine 5 weeks later for the newer model with 500 gig hard drive when it went on sale. No questions asked. They also gave us the $90 back on the MacBook Air we bought that went on sale.

It was not useable . I bought this for my son whom is in college. Because of COVID 19 . Majority of his classes are zoom , it requires a lot of logging on and staying connected.. This product was horrible. I’m going to have to purchase a newer and updated version.
