Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the performance and ease of use of the Pre-Owned MacBook Pro 13.3" laptop. However, some customers reported that the condition of the received laptops varied, with some showing more wear and tear than expected. Issues with battery life were also noted by several customers. The product's overall appeal is thus somewhat diminished by inconsistencies in condition and battery performance.

I wanted my daughter to grt used to an apple laptop before shelling out alot more money. But right now i dont want to buy any apple products

Best Buy uses a third party seller for pre-owned computers. If you have to make a return, you are in serious trouble. I spent over two hours on the phone with three different people. No one was able to help me. Very disappointing.

I received refurbished laptop that wasn't fixed. When I received another one It was locked. I was told by technical support, Geek squad technician to call the company that was working on the computer because they did not know the password. There was no phone number to call them, so I had to use email to contact them.

I would have loved this computer if it could handle opening basic applications, such as checking balances, etc. However, there seems to be a lot of functions it cannot handle. Instead, I have to use my iPad to do functions that a laptop should be doing.

    Great Mid-Range Mac

I am a big fan of Apple products, and this MacBook isnt any diffferent. The laptop itself is full of fit and finish. The display is bright and clean, the aluminum uni-bodi that houses the laptop is sturdy and feels great, keys are fit well, and the touchpad on the laptop itself is second to none. This shouldnt be a suprise to anyone. Apples products tend to be a little over-engineered. As far as performance goes, the processor has more than enough horsepower to use OS/X and Mac software to its fullest potential, and sound performance is suprisingly good coming from such a small speakers. The only real drawback to this model is the graphics adapter. The built in intel graphics ship isnt very strong and is pretty slow for 3d rendering, like with games and such. With that being said, i didnt buy my macbook to use as a gaming console, so this isnt really a significant draw back for me, but there are times in presentations or in any kind of 3D demo that a stronger graphics adapter would have been better, and it was probably a little short sighted on my part not to think of that. even with that draw back, its still a great performing little laptop that is light, thin, and convienant, packed full of performance and at a fairly resonable price (for a Mac). This product is a great companion to an iMac, and a great home for iPods, iPads, and iPhones, of which my household has multiples of. My only real compalints are that the Magsafe adapter (for those that dont know, apples power adapters are magnetic, not a traditional plug style adapter) tends to get pulled off easily, which can be annoying in meetings or when surfing on the couch. Additionally, the brushed aluminum housing looks great, but it also gets dirty, and in households with kids (like mine) it gets very easy to get the laptop very dirty. I strongly reocmmend some kind of Neoprene sleeve for it so it always has something to sit in.

Refurbished laptop won't even boot. I get a folder with a question mark when I turn it on. The refurb program at Best Buy clearly has quality control issues. Returning and not getting another one.

The 13-inch MacBook was a joy to use. It was lightening fast, system and wireless setup was a breeze. I ended up trading it in (within the 30-day exchange period, of course) for a 15-inch model, simply because I play in a band, and require two separate audio ports; one for audio in, and one for monitor audio out. (The 13-inch model has one port which is software-switchable for both functions.) Other than that and the i7 processor, there is no appreciable difference between the two machines. They are both outstanding. I like Apple's use of aluminum exteriors; they are easily cleanable with a wet rag, and resist the effects of sun when placed in a window. Performance is out of this world. Battery life on the 13-inch was stellar, slightly better than the 15-inch. Included apps provide out-of-the-box word processing, professional grade audio recording and more. Excellent connectivity, although the Bluetooth setup process for image sharing is somewhat obtuse. Relatively lightweight; I definitely noticed a difference after trading up to the 15-inch. One complaint I have is that there is no system sound EQ, which is a drag when using it for listening to music online. Someone tell Apple for me, ok?

    Reluctant Purchase.

I've been a Mac user since the early '90s. The last laptop I purchased was a 15" Powerbook G4 in 2003. Although I was pleased with the Powerbook ( my daughter still uses it today). I vowed to never buy another laptop due to the price/performance factor. Since then I've built my own Windows PC, purchased several iMacs, and created a Hackintosh. My wife needed a computer for her work and insisted on a Macbook Pro. She did not take my suggestion that I could hack OSX onto a Dell for much cheaper very well. So, off to best buy to buy the Mac. I can honestly say that I've never been more happy with a computer in my life. Lion is a dream. Truly a sophisticated operating system. The actual physical Macbook is a work of art, solid and superbly designed. Sleek, intuitive and powerful. I will give it 5 stars. But only because at the moment I could afford to buy one.

This laptop is everything I hoped for and more. I was updating from an eMac OSx10.3.9, before Mac updated to intel processors so the difference in capabilities, speed, and just about everything else is shocking. I usually am running 4 or 5 deign programs at once and listening to music and very VERY rarely is there any lag at all. The track pad is responsive. I do recommend a mouse if you will be drawing on it. The trackpad for those types of applications leaves a little to be desired. I've had it for about a month and I can't say I have any complaints. I always think Apple is way overpriced compared to other things in the market but really, it's worth the price. The performance and user-friendliness speak for themselves. The size is compact enough to carry easily but the widescreen display is still impressive. I've been using this for a lot of design and also audio rendering programs and it works great! I highly recommend it!

    Exceeded My Expectations

I have been considering a Macbook for a couple of years but have always been scared off by the price. I finally broke down and bought the 13' MBP and I must admit I couldn't be happier despite the price. Being a lifetime PC user I was surprised how quickly I adjusted. If you've used an iPhone or iPad it makes it a little more familiar, or at least it felt that way for me. The more I use it the simpler it becomes and i'm always finding new things I can do that are very useful and not just novelties. It is plenty fast enough and the battery life is great coming from a mid-level PC. I have found doing everyday things on the Macbook simpler and more efficient so far and I couldn't be happier. I'm a teacher, so mostly I make documents and presentations using the Apple versions. Pages took a little getting used to coming from Word, but once I figured it out it's been great for what I need. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This MacBook is not good, dent and scratch mark on the surface and even dust also not removed. I'm wondering Best Buy is selling this type of product.

If you are a die hard Mac user, this mac is for you. I have no complaints about the hardware, processor and memory are lightning fast. The graphics are good (haven't been able to use any programs to rate it on). Like I said if your a mac user, its great, but if their are programs or games that are on Windows, chances are they are aren't going to be able to work on this computer. It's possible to run all of those applications but you have to "bootcamp" your Mac, and then buy some form of Windows (base price of $200), but who wants to pay extra money on one of the most expensive laptops on the market. Just think about the programs you use before you convert. OSX Lion is also amazing with the trackpad integration!!!
