Very happy with purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We found this pre-owned iPhone 5 for AT&T on the Best Buy site and am so happy with the purchase. The phone arrived earlier than expected and packaged nicely for shipping. I was a bit concerned about the condition of the phone since it was preowned, and the description on the Best Buy site didn't mention anything about the condition. I was pleasantly surprised. The screen was flawless, and there were some very minor nicks on the back casing and edges of the phone - but very few of them. Overall - I would rank it as Very Good condition...and much better than I would have gotten had I went with eBay or craigslist. I 'tested' the phone for about a day, to make sure all the buttons functioned and the batter held a charge. I transferred my existing SIM card over there so I could make calls and make sure the speakers and microphone worked...and yes the IMEI was clean. No problems on that end. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase. I thought $200 was a very good deal...I'm not tied into financing the phone with AT&T and can still save with the Mobile Share no contract option. We are ok with not having the latest phone on the market...but the 5 allows us to still get updates...for a little while longer at least! Happy we found this option with Best Buy. Now when my phone dies, I know where I'm looking first! I'm still contemplating should I take this 'new' one and give my daughter my old one :)

Buyer beware with refurbished phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware. We bought this phone based on Best Buy's 90 day warranty, even though it was refurbished. Phone quit working after a few weeks. Brought it into our local best buy and were only offered store credit, for their defective merchandise. Manager claims there is no such thing as a 90 day warranty on this item, even though this is clearly claimed on this item's description. The real kicker is that in my attempt to buy another refurbished phone on their website since I have no other options, I find out that Best Buy won't accept store credit to pay for the next phone! Best Buy lost a loyal customer this time, just plain disgusted with how we were treated. Last time we buy anything from this outfit.
