Didn't know the phone was locked. It was prefect for it being Used.

Nice phone. But... It needs a sims card. So just go to the Best Buy mobile there and you'll be set up.

Purchased this item, even though I was a bit cautious reading the reviews, but figured I could always return if it was a hassle. I paid an extra $15 to have it in two days and it arrived on time and in good condition. The iphone IS locked, as the previous review stated, but the item summary doesn't clarify if it's locked or not, so you would have to assume it IS locked. I tried setting it up with Sprint online, wouldn't work, called customer service, he couldn't get it to work. I did some run arounds at my local sprint store, but it is best to just go straight to your local Best Buy and go to the cell phone sales area (don't bother the return line). I explained that it was purchased locked and I have a different SIM card than what would fit the iphone. In less than 5 mins, Kyle, had my phone turned on and working! I am so thrilled and was worth the little extra running around. I saved $100 in the long run because I purchased the phone locked, if you bought it unlocked, it's an extra $100.

Have tried twice to buy a referbished iPhone 5s. Unhappy with the condition it came in both times. Returns were no problem which was a plus. Having a disappointed teen was a minus!

These are locked to Sprint post paid contracts, and cannot be unlocked for any other use !! Do not purchase unless you have an account to add this to!!
