Doesn't cover both back and front of ipad mini.

The new one can be used in a couple of ways to support the ipad when you are using it. Also, the original one didn't really offer any protection to the ipad. My new one is very cushioned and I feel I can take my ipad with me and it will not be damaged if its in my purse.

It looks good. Other than that its not great. Apple needs to make a Smart Case for the mini. He smart case for the full size iPad is great.

Product not as described

I researched to find the right product, and was lead astray by the description, which clearly stated that the case would fit ipad mini 1, 2 and 3. Very disappointed, and frustrated that I invested my time and money and still do not have an appropriate case for ipad mini 2.
