This cover, while minimal in appearance, is very functional in protecting the screen of my iPad Mini. I wish there are more color choices, however.

The Apple Smart Cover is ok, but it attaches magnetically and comes off on occasion, but other than that it is okay.

The reason we bought the iPad Mini 2 was portability and the Apple Smart Cover added needed protection without unnecessary bulk. The slim size did not make the thin iPad much wider and they easily fit into my wife's purse without extra weight. It forms a very useable stand for reading and the iPad automatically goes to sleep when the cover is closed increasing battery life. It is the perfect compliment for the thin elegant iPad Mini 2.

The Smart Case protects both the front and back of the tablet and has a magnetic closure that can optionally turn the tablet on and off when opened and closed. Fit and quality are very good. Folding the cover to act as a stand is good for horizontal applications. The cover adds bulk to the sleek tablet but less that other cases I compared.

The main reason I bought an iPad Mini was because I wanted something very easy to hold in one hand. Buying a large, very protective case would take away from this experience. This cover is very light, protects the screen well enough, and most important is easily removable! And it's not bad looking either. It probably doesn't add much protection if I drop my iPad (a chance I'm willing to take) and it doesn't make the best stand (I will buy a dedicated stand soon), but for what I wanted it for (basic screen protection) it's great. Oh, and it's a whole lot cheaper than some other, more protective covers.

This is a simple flip cover with a magnetic spine. It flips over to cover the screen and also flips backward to protect the back when the screen is exposed. It also folds in multiple ways turning into a stand. One con would be, that it doesn't protect the sides and back when cover is protecting the scree, Pro would be super slim and adds no bulk.

Clips on and off with ease and gives the device a bright, fun look. To be clear, this is just the cover for the screen. To protect the entire device (front and back) you need a smart case. But this is a great way to protect the screen without bulking up the iPad.

Cover works well for what it is. If you're looking to keep the weight down, the face protected and have a built in stand this is perfect. The back of your iPad will not be protected but that's optional for some people. It also goes on and off easily but doesn't fall off.

I haven't cared much for the smart covers since they changed how they make them. The smart cases however are well built and provide good protection to the iPad. It's easy to slip the iPad in and out of the case and it doesn't add a ton of bulk to the device when it's in it. I really like the leather feel to the case too.

Protection is provided for the iPad Mini without adding unnecessary bulk. The iPad mini sleeps automatically when the cover is closed over the face of the iPad mini and wakes when it is uncovered. The cover folds back completely against the back of the iPad mini so that it is easy to hold while using it.

Bought apple RED cover for iPad Mini 3 and love that it's lightweight and provides protection for the screen. The magnetic cover stays put but goes on and off easily if you want to remove it to take photos.

This cover is light and easy to use. I would not recommend if you are hard on your product. It will not protect if you drop or throw around. It will protect the face of the iPad and does that well.

I bought this when I was taking my iPad Mini on an extended trip through Southeast Asia. I knew it would be packed and repacked many times, and I wanted to protect the screen. It worked well, has a cool feature that when you open/close the cover, the iPad automatically turns on/off. The cover can also be used as an easel to stand the iPad up if watching movies, etc. Very light weight and doesn't increase the size of the Mini.Installs instantly. All in all, great product.

This cover has been great for me. It does what it needs to do, in that it protects the screen of my IPad Mini2 when its not in use. It also makes for a nice little stand for when I'm watching movies or listening to music with the Ipad. It also really feels durable despite being small and just a cover. I had expected something like a case, but this is nice in that it just snaps onto the side of my IPad and I'm ready to go so installation of this cover was super simple. I'm actually getting another of these so I can have different colors for different places! I have to say I'm super pleased with this cover.

Nice little cover for the Ipad min. It is light and functional. provides good protection for the screen.

This is a simple cover to protect the screen that folds to serve as a stand for my iPad Mini. It is held on magnetically and stays in place pretty well as long as you don't fidget with it. Interestingly, it turns the tablet on as you lift the cover so if you are holding it and flip the edge up at all you will be turning it on. This is nice if you are going to use it but otherwise it uses up a little power before it turns itself off again.

I love the Apple smart cases!! Light, compact and very user friendly. So nice that it "wakes" the iPad when you open the cover.

Decent cover which serves the purpose. Light weight, convenient and protects the screen(only). Good enough stand for the iPad.
