I really like the Apple Smart Keyboard because it is compact, it is always with you, it is easy to use and It does not require batteries. The only thing it does not have is backlit keys. The keyboard does take some getting used to because it does not have the same feel as a standard keyboard but once you get used to it, it is a breeze to use.

This keyboard is perfect. Love the "smart" feature and shuts off the screen when closed. Just the right size and easy to type on. I do wish the magnet that holds it on was a little stronger. Sometimes when flipping it open, it comes off. I just need to be more careful.

It's very easy to attach the keyboard to the tablet and I've never had any problems with not typing like supposed too.

I have owned an iPad in each version going back to the first version. Mostly I use them for reading, email and surfing the web. Not as much for gaming because I have my phone for that. However, this latest version coupled with the pencil and keyboard is the most useful so far. I keep finding uses for it that I hadn't thought about before and has become my "go to" device for my work. I still have to have a laptop because I work in technology however for managing my world I almost always use my new iPad. Best Buy was a great source, I happen to hit it right and got the iPad for $100 off and an open buy on the pencil and got it for $85. Do you absolutely need the new iPad? It depends on use of course and your adoption of web services will make it even more useful (Google Docs, Office 365 and others). If you have had an iPad before and are on the fence you will not be disappointed - this is the best one so far!

The keyboard is fully integrated once attached. No battery required. It's also completely spill-proof which is great for clumsy folks like me. If you're going to buy a keyboard for your iPad Pro, don't go aftermarket. The Apple keyboard is well worth the price.

I already had a smartcover for my ipad pro, so buying this seemed more of an impulse buy... but I am not sorry I did. Its so much easier to type than with the screen, and since it is its own stand, I dont have to worry about bringing an external one along with me all the time. The cover stays attached, magnets are strong.

Wanted a case to protect my new iPad Pro and the sales associate convinced me to spend big in the keyboard case. It provides some protection but as with previous smart cases it does always stay affixed if the iPad slips through the hands. The keyboard itself is very comfortable and enjoyable for typing emails and the such. Not sure if enjoy composing longer documents.

I was hesitant on the keyboard because it does carry a hefty price tag, however, I took the leap and bought it. It is well worth it! Without the keyboard, the iPad is not very productive/useful to me. With the keyboard, it has become a complement to my laptop and allows me to use it beautifully on the go!

This is a great keyboard, I wasn't sure I was goingn To like the way the keys felt, but they are responsive and feel great. When the iPad standing and I type it has fallen over a few times more when I have been on an uneven surface. The magnet is not as strong as the one on the cover for the iPad Air but still great. I love not having to worry about charging.

Thin, light, keyboard - it doesn't protect the back but I rarely take it out of the house so it's perfect. I can balance this on my lap easily, or use a lap desk. It's even better if you have a table/desk. Keyboard is very easy to use and responsive.

This is a great product if you are looking for a screen cover and keyboard. The keyboard is kind of cramped feeling but it is always connected and runs off the power of the iPad. I wouldn't type a manuscript on this thing but it's great for email responses and general typing. It also seems a bit pricey but what else would you expect from an Apple product.

I am writing this review using my Smart Keyboard now. I absolutely love it. They keys feel nice and clicky, and it looks like they are covered with a poretty durable material to prevent damage from dust or spills. I also really enjoy the microsuede type fabric on the outside. The keyboard integrates seamlessly with iOS and I have not had a single connectivity issue. Only reason I am rating at 4 stars is that this product is priced very high for what it is. I think that a competitor like Logitech could easily make a comparable product and shave ~ $20 off the price, if not more. However, at this time there are not many great competitors to the Smart Keyboard, and honestly it makes me feel good to get all of the Apple branded accessories, as I know that there is a reasonable amount of quality associated with them. One point of concern for me would be the small lip on the edge of the keyboard where the suede meets the woven keyboard material, I have seen a few pictures where that edge becomes separated, and I am concerned that traveling with this product in my bag every day may have the same results, which would be unacceptable for a product at this price point. So far, everything looks good and I will continue to monitor it.

Used the iPad 2, iPad Air, and now iPad Pro (9.7 in), Adding this lightweight, no effort to connect, keyboard that effectively places the pad at ideal angle, has opened up another dimension of effectiveness for me. My effectiveness using this device on flights for business has ramped up yet another notch!

Works as described. Attaches easily with magnetic strip and doesn't dislodge easily. Keyboard works well, keys feel comfortable and responsive. It connects automatically and quickly when attached to the iPad. My two complaints are: 1) it doesn't provide any protection for the back of the iPad and 2) there is no place to hold the pen...the pen "tries" to hold to the magnetic strip on the keyboard, but is very easy to dislodge...I recommend the keyboard as a very functional and easy to use accessory, but would not recommend to those wanting a keyboard and protective case function....Also, it is not bluetooth, so it has to be attached to the iPad and it only works with the iPad.

Before breaking the plastic wrapper on this product, I was actually considering returning it. However, once I started using it, I cannot imagine using another iPad without the keyboard. The feel of the keys is very comfortable and it allows for fast typing, so I am a happy camper.

Considering the size of the keyboard, it's actually quite comfortable to type on. I really like the dedicated, magnetic connection on the iPad pro 9.7. I do wish that the keyboard came with more elaborate case coverage, but it does sound like other brands are coming out with competing keyboards soon. Also this thing ain't cheap!

I've used several other keyboards for previous iPads (made by Zagg and Brookstone). the Zagg ones failed after less than two years. The Borrkstone case was very heavy. This one is lightweight, charges itself right through the iPad itself, has keys that are comfortable.

I've used other iPad keyboards, but this one is the best I've found. I especially like the fact that it's powered by the iPad, so no recharging. It's also thin and light and protects the screen. It's pricy, but in my opinion, if you need a keyboard, it's worth the price.

Expensive yes, but works seamlessly, Attach the keyboard and voila! works no pairing or bother! I have a skin on my iPad pro and have it in a protective case and then put keyboard case on when I need to type, nice and thin with good sized keys. Definitely recommend!
