My new 21" iMac did not come with a CD/DVD drive so had to purchase this Superdrive separately. It works perfectly, fast and efficient, easy to set up as are most Apple peripherals. It is small enough to sit right on the iMac curved stand so very convenient and out of the way (though built in would have been better).

Nice and quiet when burning. Works well with other cd and dvds. Nice clean sleek look. Works well with MacBook Pro 2022. Plug and play.

East setup, just plug in and go. The superdrive matches the finish of my Macbook air perfectly. The unit is small and portable but the connection cord could be a little longer. The cord may be a foot long. My only complaint is that the unit is a little noisy when I copy CDs to my iTunes Library. The unit also costs more than most CD/DVD drives but I bought it when BB had the unit on sale so that was not such a concern. I prefer to stick with apple accessories with my Macbook.

I love this product. I'm an indie filmmaker and I am constantly creating DVDs. The SuperDrive is simple to use. Just plug it into the computer and put in the DVD/CD. It doesn't take long to copy music to a CD or to burn a DVD. It doesn't make a lot of noise, and it's light weight. This product is worth the investment.

I ordered this online and received it in 2 days. Took it out of the box, plugged it into my Mac and it was ready to go. I didn't have to install any software or download any files. I use this primarily for installing software for college on my Mac and burning CDs for music. The design is perfect. Made out of the same material as your Mac. With that being said, you do have to pay a premium to get it Apple branded and styled. Well worth it in my eyes though.

Works really good. Down loaded hundreds of music cd’s in a few days on my Mac mini and didn’t have any problems what so ever. Worth the extra coin to have a seamless transfer of data without having to download a third party app with other brands.

The external DVD drive is so easy to use. No downloading of latest versions of software, etc. Just plug it into the USB slot on your laptop and you are good to go. It works effeciently and quickly. It is lightweight and easy to store away when not in use.

I have been a Windows guy from the start, but when I retired two months ago, I decided to switch to Apple. This drive is a great example of the genius of Apple. Plugged it in and it immediately worked great. Very fast and quiet. With my Windows habits still at work, I kept looking for a button to push to eject the disk, but I just asked my help screen and presto, I learned a new habit -- hit the eject icon and let the electronics do it for you. Great product and a must-have for some one like me who bought the Mac Mini.

Fast drive that’s able to handle anything and still has the Apple aesthetic

The new iMac's don't include a DVD drive and I needed one to access photo albums on discs. Speed and performance are as expected and the instant integration and ease of use with the iMac does not disappoint.

I bought this as an open box item to use with my new MacBook Air, so that I would still be able to view pictures that I had previously burned on to cd and dads from a different computer. let me start by saying I am brand new to the Mac IOS world and am a middle aged woman. This device with the adapter for the new Mac book air was literally plug and play. extremely easy to use. I was able to view pictures burned on a pc on my Mac and have also used it to watch a movie on my computer. well worth the money, and is small and compact, easy to carry along.

Like most Apple products, slick design and ease of use. Most of us rarely use Drives anymore and not having it in laptop makes sense to keep bulk & weight down. If you need to travel with it, it weighs very little and is slightly larger than a plastic CD case.

This is an amazing portable disk drive for the size, price and use with iMac or MacBook Air. Plugs right in via USB and ready to go. When not in use or needed it unplugs just as easy and can be stored away.

Easily plugs in and starts working with MacBook Air. Reds discs at a fast pace. Opens automatically on the desktop. All around best/most compatible option for Apple pc products

I'm an Apple guy. I never thought I would be, but it's true. I am a huge fan of the simple design and reliable function aspect of the brand, which is why I like the SuperDrive so much. Sure, there are lots of external drives out there that do more than the SuperDrive, and some at a lower price, but that's not why I bought the drive (or the MacBook Air). I bought it because its an Apple product, and it works perfectly with my other Apple product. About the only product recommendation I would make to Apple is to lengthen the USB cable a little bit. The cable is short, and depending on where I am, it can be less convenient to find a place to set the drive than I would hope. It looks great with the silver color a perfect match to the Air color. Its also relatively quiet for an external drive, so you don't have to yell to be heard while using it.

Easy fast and effective does what is needed. I think Apple should include a voucher to include this or atleast a large discount. It was hard to spend $2500 on a brand new mac book pro and then have to shell out $80 for a cd drive!

The CD/DVD functions well and is an essential accessory to complete the computing experience of the MAC computer, The intuitive nature of the OS makes it easy to complete disc related activities. The unit looks great as well. Very sleek.

I love my Apple External Drive. I had been hesitant about purchasing a computer without a super drive, however, this has not been a problem with the Apple External Drive which has been very easy to use! Works quickly and very quietly!

It is super light and was extremely easy to set up. I was not very thrilled with the price but for Apple products you always pay. The cord is a little too short for my liking. It also would be nice if it came with a case
