I like the fact apple stopped implementing drives to their laptop lines, because not only it gives room more battery, or memory, but makes the computer lighter. This Drive works extremely well and its sturdy and you can tell it has been made well. Do not get any other drive if your working with an Apple computer. Chose this one!

Works good and is quiet, would recommend this to anyone

The SuperDrive is great - my new Retina MacBook Pro doesn't have a CD drive so I bought this to read and burn CDs and DVDs. It works exactly like it should and I couldn't be more pleased!

I purchased this because I still have a lot of CDs and software discs. I usually purchase music digitally now but I still find CDs that I never uploaded or will get a CD from a family member who no longer listens it. The drive works exactly as I need it to. No complaints at all. Perfect addition to my new Macbook Pro.

This superdrive is slim, and fast, very pleased with it.

Easy to use, great to convert old software and CDs.

The DVD drive is need for writing CD's & DVD's. Easier way to install software. It works great, easy to install and use. For the price of the laptop my expectation would be to have one arleady built in like the competive brands for less money and upgraded processor.

I was a little apprehensive about this product and just put the item to one side for a couple of weeks. When I did eventuality un pack it I was pleasantly surprised, I read the instructions and I couldn't be happier with this product and I would highly recommend it.

It hooks up easily and there is no software to download or upload you just plug and play. The only drawback I can think of is it won't play blue ray. Don't know why Apple still has a problem with that but I bought another drive first that would play blue ray and it locked up the first time I tried to play one so...

Since Apple discontinued the built in drive on their products, I thought I would not like the external drive. I think it will work out because if it ever goes bad, I won't be without my iMac and mac book while waiting to get it repaired. I can easily use it with my iMac and mac book with no problems.....just plug and play!

We recently bought the new Mac laptop which doesn't have a built in disk drive. This was the next option, it's compact and easy to use.

It has performed well, and as expected, I use it on a new iMac, and once it's plugged into the USB it is good to go. I have not burned anything as of yet, but my primary use is as an external disc drive, or ripping audio and video discs into my library. The only downside I would mention is the fact that it takes up a USB port on my iMac, and those are limited to begin with. While the sleek design is stylish on the new iMacs, leaving some width to have a built in drive is preferable for me.

I have only used it a couple of times, but is as easy as put in and click play. It is a hassle to carry along, but sacrifices for a lighter and slimmer macbook make up for it. If you use laptop on a table, then it works fine, but the cord is not long enough to utilize MacBook Air on your lap or laptop table. It just want to hang.

Good design, compact, attractive. Works out just fine.

Actually a really good price for this unit that plays all of your discs. In a world where discs seem obsolete, this price point makes this a good to have accessory since there will always be that one time where you’re going to need it. Easy setup.

Great product easy to set up great price fast drive

So I got this drive because I got a MacBook without one and there was software that I required onto my laptop that only came in disk form. Just plug into the laptop and it's good to go and it's fast when importing music cd's so overall good product 5 stars

With so much on the fly work these days, it’s good to keep a disc drive handy that works seamlessly and effortlessly with your MacBook. I have only used it a few times, but it was a lifesaver each time.
