I think the user interface could be redesigned for easier navigation using the remote. Typing in the search screen with a remote is poor design. Netflix starts and stops repeatedly during play back. Viewing Netflix content using wireless laptop has not been an issue. There are other products out there that do the same thing, cheaper. There are also third party mods for this device that make it better. Why can't Apple make it better? I do like that it allows me to play my iTunes content.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! YOU CAN WATCH YOUR IPAD MOVIES ON YOUR TV SCREEN WITHOUT ANY WIRES FROM YOUR IPAD TO THE ACTUAL TV. THE FACT THAT IT HAS NETFLIX IS ALSO A PLUS AS WELL AS THE OPTION TO RENT MOVIES VIA YOUR ITUNES ACCOUNT. THE COMPUTER SHARE OPTION IS THE BOMB! YOU CAN PLAY MUSIC FROM YOUR COMPUTER ITUNES FILE ON YOUR HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM WHICH IS USUALLY BETTER THAN COMPUTER SPEAKERS. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! THE SLIDESHOW OF PICTURES IS VERY NICE, TOO!

I have no idea how I didn't own one of these sooner! Having an extensive collection of music and movies on my iTunes account, this is an awesome addition to my Apple product lineup. Not only does it link all the Apple content but it also streams my Netflix. The days of relying on my DVR and OnDemand rentals are over, now everything goes through my iTunes account.

So Apple TV is a bit of a miss based on some of the streaming wants and desires. We can't stream enough for it to replace Cable, but having airplay with the IPHONE and IPAD makes this pretty cool. I like being able to let my son see the Garage band on TV while he plays and he loves the Sesame street audio books on there. Definitely like the streaming of music over trying to get it all to copy like the first ATV. As long you understand what you are getting this is a great product.

This product works great. Hook up to the ethernet or use the wi-fi and you're set to go. I used the "remote" app on my iPad and iPhone and was able to keep endless music and videos going for an entire party. It was easy to set up and i have had no issues.

Apple TV is easy to install (requires an additional HDMI cable). Easy to use and does everything it's supposed to do. I just wish you could show pictures and videos from software other than just Apple products. It would be nice to show pictures from Lightroom instead of only iPhoto, foe example. I like how small the remote is, but it's so small it is some times easily misplaced.

I have used Seagate Theater+, WD Live, and several other portable media players. This is hands down the best. Very intuitive interface, very easy config. You have to jailbreak it to get some of the best media playing options out of your library. But if you dont have a big library full of 1080p .mkv files this one is a no-brainer. Great piece for the money

I was happey with the product until the time I tried to download a rental and well that is when the love affair ended. I can download it faster to my computer and than play it. Good but hardly great. This of course is not entirely the fault of the product. Remember if you have to download a 2 gigabite file, it will take time even on a fast network. instant gratification just isn't possible. But streaming my current content and it is voluminous has largely gone without a hitch.

Considered buying the Apple TV when it originally came out and didn't. I used a Mac Mini as a media center instead. Decided to use the Mac Mini as a computer and purchased the current Apple TV. I love it. It is simple to set up, compact, fast, and HD stuff looks great. In addition to renting from Itunes I also enjoy using it for Youtube. Overall, the redesign of Apple TV has made this a great product and the price reasonable. Highly recommended.

I'm very happy with the Apple TV. It is intuitive and relatively painless to use. The only down side would be that another computer in the house has to be on and running iTunes. I have a separate networked attached storage (NAS) that contains all of our data, but there still needs to be a computer on and running iTunes. If it weren't for that, I'd say this is a perfect device!

I never understood the value of the AppleTV until I installed it and started to use it. Now our home network is completely accessible in the living room, and we don't need to rely on using our laptop to play music or connect to the TV when we want to watch a slide show. Youtube use is awesome, and for netflix users this is the best option for viewing.

I bought this because trying to streamline my movies from my new blue ray player was a nightmare with no help from Samsung or comcast. I went to Best Buy and said I needed help streaming to my Mac, they recommended Apple TV. It worked as soon as I hooked it up for about a week and then streaming stopped ever 2-3 minutes. My network was adjusted and now it's working great again, plus I can have a slideshow on big screen TV instead of everyone gathering around computer.

Bought this so I could stream netflix in my bedroom and it works great. It was easy to set up, i like the lay out of the netflix through apple tv and the price can't be beat when compared to similar devices. I would say buy one. It also is small and can fit anwhere on your tv stand or desk and it streams movies very fast. It also uses very little energy.

If you use a Mac or own an iPhone 4s or iPad 2, purchasing an Apple TV is a no brainer. I got rid of cable and now rent what I want to watch. My bill was cut in half!

This is an absolutely amazing product. I use it primarily to watch movies rented from iTunes and stream videos from my iPad. The Apple TV is capable of much more such as displaying your pictures, playing your music and watching regular cable TV shows just to name a few. The picture quality is amazing. I paid approximately $100 for it and would say that it is worth every penny and would recommend the Apple TV to anyone.

The Apple TV was a breeze to connect to my Mac! A few clicks and it was set up in no time. Having the ability to play music, videos, movies - all from the large TV screen is great - and listening to the sounds on the TV sound system creates that true movie experience! I don't know if I will buy many more movies in a case when I can just purchase and download them to my Mac and watch them anytime I want by using Apple TV.

I purchased the Apple TV primarily for watching my Boston Bruins Hockey games. The NHL app works great on my 1.7mp download speed. I also use the Apple TV for watching Netflix's which is again great for. The HDMI output to my HD-LED is a clean picture with excellent sound. The remote is compact and makes navigating the unit perfect.

I love the OS for this AppleTV. The only issue I have with the product is that, as of now, I am not able to connect the AppleTv thru the Wifi connection do to my Belkin Router. I am dissappointed in that fact that have have numerous other devices that connect without any issues but AppleTV would not. When I called Apple, they referred me to Belkin. Luckily, I am able to use the device thru the Ethernet connection and I still enjoy the product.

Awesome product! I went to the apple store to get an a/v dock for my new touch and walked out with this instead. I want to play myusic and videos through my stero & tv. So now I am streaming music & video from iTunes to my stereo & tv & have access to my entire library and not limited to the memory of my iPod. You can also access YouTube, Netflix, and apple tv shows and movies. Only took a few min to set up and configure.

I like the Apple TV a lot. I started out just buying one for my mom. It's good for her because now she can watch a lot of tv shows she's likes, in order. The only thing I really didn't like was giving it to her, and then finding out she would need an HDMI cable. I thought I researched it well and was getting everything I needed. I went out and got her the cable. I decided to buy one for myself as well. I can stream straight from my ipad!
