The apple tv is very kewl, it will stream your pictures from your laptop to your tv, you can also stream netflix, music, pretty much whatever you would like. It will not however stream avi files, which is why I took it back, that's what I really needed it to do, so while I thought all the features were neat, they were not something I needed. Would be great for someone looking for those features, and it is very easy to use and set up.

Pluged it followed the bouning ball and was watching netfix in minutes and it wasnt choppy like I've had on other players before. On doing slide shows etc from my phone, it was so simple, I now see why People buy Apple Products. This is from a died in the wool PC guy!

Apple Tv was easy to set up and easy to use. The remote that came with it is not that great. I am lucky to have an iPhone. I got the Apple remote app and find that it is easier to use with Apple Tv.

Very simple to setup. Works exactly as it should/expected. Streaming movies off my Imac is just like Netflix only better. And it does both. I have two of these and they both work great. Wish I had 2 more! Note: This unit has an HDMI only interface to the TV. Since I had a Blu Ray on the TV's only input for HDMI I ended up with a Samsung 32 inch with several HDMI inputs too. But that is another review!

I wanted to see movies and games on big screen and I was little worried when I heard about Apple TV. I decided to see if this is what I was looking for. I was amazed to see games and movies streaming over to big screen via Apple TV. Thanks Apple for this tiny tool.

This device has changed the way my family watched and purchases movies and music. We purchase everything through iTunes. The picture and audio quality is superb. Looking forward to apple releasing 1080p content. This device doesn't support 1080p however but I would be happy to buy the next gen to get this capability. It is very reliable and the controls are perfect. Do yourself a favor and buy one.

Other stream boxes menus and presentation are somehow rich less and clunky, but is not the case on the AppleTV. The menus, information, selections are GREAT and always within the same look and feel that Apple implant in all their products. Image quality is very good, the Airplay works great, it allow iPad movies to be stream over the air on your TV, its a great and functional piece of equipment

I used to watch Netflix on my Xbox 360, which worked fine, but the sound of the fans was very distracting and the time it took for the machine to start up and to navigate to the Netflix app were a little annoying, the Apple TV starts up almost instantly and I can be looking at Netflix in under a minute. Good stuff!

Works right out of the box. Takes few minutes to setup.The price was good. The interface is great. I wish it had more output choices and hard wire ethernet connection. It will only work with TVs that have HDMI input. Which is not problem these days, but sometime a free slot may not be available. If you looking for simple to use online audio video streaming set top box. This is the one to get.

The Apple TV device is easy to install and allows you to access your iTunes library (music, video, pocasts, etc.) from your Home Theater system. In addition you can rent movies (via iTunes). It is well worth the investment. Within minutes of purchasing, I had it set up and was getting much entertainment from it.

Apple TV provides access on your television for input from Netflix, your computer, and many more sources. Like most Apple products, it is easy to set up and easy to use via a small silver remote with just 3 buttons. Apple TV will remember all the shows you are watching, where you paused in each show or where you stopped in the series.There are no financial contracts-just hook it up and enjoy!

Bought this with some of the Christmas money I got and I have to say I'm really impressed. Netflix and Airplay have to be the best thing about this with all my pictures from the computer and all the (seemingly) free and endless entertainment from Netflix you can't go wrong. One of the best things I have for my TV!

Brings my iTunes purchases from the small screen to the big screen of my tv. So easy to set up use that this is actually our second unit. Found we were moving it too much from the bedroom to the living room and then the teenagers figured it out. So easy to stop and start. I find Apple to be very user friendly.

I am very happy with the Apple TV. I had originally received ROKU for Christmas but after getting an iPad 3 months later, I decided to sell the ROKU and replace with Apple TV primarily because of AirPlay. I find that I use Apple TV much more than I used ROKU. Pros: Seemlessly works with the Apple Devices, access to the iTunes Store (movies, podcast, Vimeo, etc.) Cons: None identified yet

Apple consistently continues to surprise and impress me. It was very easy to set up and to get video, music and photos streaming. Renting and purchasing is a simple & clean process as well. The only downside I have so far is that you can no longer use your album covers as a screensaver. Minor in comparison.

Awesome device! Great for viewing your pictures and videos on the television screen - especially if you have a larger TV. The wireless is good but the playback seems to work better if you are connected to your network using the standard CAT 5 cables.

Apple really did a great job with this. I love the ability to airplay music and videos straight from my iPhone onto it. Great for Netflix, NBA, and all that other stuff. And yes, they keep updating it adding more features and stabilizing it. When I got it a month ago it was a little glitchy, but after a recent update, I think its amazing. Don't forget to buy an hdmi cable though!

It just cant get more simple than just plug and turn on your tv and you are ready to go. Works great with ipad to play and stream/ vidoe to your apple tv.. One thing that is missing is a web browser . Without a web divice like the ipad you will be at a disadvantage

Love this Apple TV. Could show everything I;'m doing on Ipad and show to the family on big screen. Great to show family pictures and play music in the house.

For me, the best thing about this is the ability to stream music from your phone to your home theatre system. I had a new born and while putting him to sleep, i would stream soundscapes from pandora. With ATV I was able to do this from my phone and the sound would come out of my home theatre speakers. All while being wireless. This purchase was definitley worth the $99.
