Sets up in seconds and works great. The iPhone control application works perfectly with this unit. There is so much you can do with the Apple TV your whole family will enjoy issuing it.

Thought I would check this device out even though I knew about the shortcomings. In the end, the stuff it was missing and the lack of content made me return it. Good interface, easy to navigate but that's where it ended for me. Netflix choice wasn't good. No local content, VERY limited video container support (No MKV). I understand why they limited the device to 720P since it's a pay for steam device only. But the lack the of 1080P in 2010/11 is still beyond stupid. I STRONGLY suggest you take a look at the WDTV Live Media Hub; equally as easy to install, more apps, more content, local content, local storate, plays literally everything, amazing UI, and 1TB hard drive. It is almost double the price at $179 In the end the WDTV does what I need plus more, the Apple left me wanting more and feeling like I paid for a device to pay for content.

Set up was a snap. I was quite surprised just how easy and intuitive apple TV is. Another user friendly product from Apple. My 7 year old uses it with no problem. What does that tell you? Guess I'll have to buy another one for the other TV.

I use it to stream exercise videos from my iTunes library to the TV in my exercise room. It works great! It would be nice if it allowed me to stream the content on my laptop to the TV screen. I need to purchase another device to do that.

This is much easier to use than the previous version. The streaming is very good. One drawback is no onboard storage.

Easy as pie to set up. No issues listening to my music or watching my movies in iTunes. Netfiix works flawlessly. Works so well, I bought another one for the bedroom. Highly recommend!

Apple TV is great. I do not have cable, only streaming Netflix. This allows me to watch the movies and shows on my TV with surround sound. Also, having iTunes on streaming and other features makes this a "best buy". I know, terrible pun.

Great way to connect all of your Apple devices together! Easy to setup, I was using the product in as little as 2 minutes. Bottom line if you have a iPhone, iPad, and/or Mac you will LOVE this product. Make sure you have an HDMI cable.

The $99 price is justified by the improved Netflix browser, compared to other devices, and the ability to stream all of your music to your home theater speakers alone. Throw in all the other aspects and to me an Apple TV is a no-brainer.

Works perfectly for displaying my iPad2 on my living room screen. We also have 4 of them in our office and use them with our iPad2's for wireless presentations. While it only spits out 720p, that works for almost all of our needs.

The product is great for the price, but it has more potential if it could be used for other video streaming markets other than iTunes and Netflix. I am actively seeking an alternative for Netflix but I would need another streaming device like Roku

Easy set up. Hassle free use! Streams content from my computer perfectly. Love e netflix feature as well. You can also rent and purchase movies from iTunes right from the device.

This thing is so cool, and simple. It makes connecting to my iPad or Mac so easy it is ridiculous....I absolutely love it. I will be getting everyone I know one for Christmas

I had been waiting for this release of AppleTv, with it's ability to stream from local Itunes libraries this was what I needed. Unfortunately it falls short here. I had spent quite a bit of time converting media for my Ipod Touch. When trying to play these on AppleTv I get mixed results. Some play flawlessly, others display a green screen with audio only. My conversion process was the same for all media yet for some reason AppleTv doesn't like some. I've read now that this is a problem that hopefully Apple can correct. Outside of it's lackluster performance on local media it does work well with Netflix and Apple's rental services. These options kept me from giving this a lower rating.

Easy setup. Easy to use. Love the IPAD and IPhone integration via Airplay Mirroring and viewing Photos from iCloud. Does what it says it will do and very well. Another "smart" source for apps associated with TV entertainment (Netflix, etc.).

Many people do not know that these can be jailbroken. Once they are you can enter a whole new world of free media. This would be much easier to navigate with a qwerty type remote or if you could use your phone as a remote or voice command.

This is just a fun, functional, piece of awesomeness. We use it for Photo and Music sharing as well as Netflix and renting movies from the iTunes store. My kids like accessing You Tube as well. Apple hits another home run.

I have been using a Boxee Box for several months now and decided to test drive an Apple TV. I discovered that I don't have to deal with the shortcomings of Boxee anymore.

The Apple TV 2's Netflix client is nice. Also, after jailbreaking and installing XBMC, The ATV2 handles 1080p mkv's with no problem. I did have to use the ethernet port despite having 802.11n in my house to get perfect streaming though.

It had a hard time connecting to the internet at first but once it was configured correctly it workes like a charm. No need for cable, Netflix and Youtube and Itunes works great!!
