We have always listened to music in our house through ITunes on our computer, however, we recently moved to a home with an office that is far away from the main living area. We attached the Apple TV to our living room TV so we can access all of our music in the main living area. It's also been great for showing off our family vacation pictures to friends and family right on our TV and watching movies and home video that are on our computer. We use it daily for Netflix also. Works great with our Mac.

EVERYTHING I EXPECTED AND MORE, FLUENT OPERATION, HAS WHAT I NEED YOUTUBE, VIMEO, ITUNES, RADIO, PODCASTS, NBA, MLB TV, OH AND OF COURSE NETFLIX...AND MORE! TINY IN SIZE, WILL FIT ANYWHERE, SYNCS WITH YOUR ITUNES, IPHOTO, ETC... VERY WELL EXECUTED - THERE IS ONE QUIRKY THING OCCASIONALLY IT WILL NOT TURN OFF - OR IS IT ME ? I HAVE TO DO MORE INVESTIGATING...I WILL UPDATE IF BECOMES A PROBLEM... OTHERWISE I GIVE THIS DEVICE A FIVE STAR : YOU CAN UPDATE OVER THE NET, IT IS NOT AUTOMATIC - NOT SURE IF THIS WOULD BOTHER YOU OR NOT - ME I LIKE TO BE ABLE TO BE ON TOP OF WHAT I NEED MYSELF... ENJOY I HAVE AND CONTINUE TO.

We are an Apple family. So we have two of these. One in our family room and my son has the other. It's so easy to hook up. And comes with everything u need except the HD cable but you can pick the up from buy.com 3 for 8 bucks. The unit is so small compared to other units and since we have everything hidden in a closet size doesn't matter. The remote is great perfect aluminum and only a few buttons so even better The things u can do with it are great too Netflix, you tube, rent movies, buy movies and connect right to ur computer. Love that u can control it from ur iPhone or ur iPad. And that it is all over wifi.

Apple TV is simiply amazing. When Using fast forward for Netflix on this device is like using a DVD. The quality of picture and sound is clear compared to, WD Live TV Plus and their Live Hub , Sony and Seagate media players. I have not used Boxee so I can't do a comparison with that company. Apple is limited on the type of files it can handle compared to the listed devices. My video's and audio files all play well and some are in windows format. I'm usually not big on Apple but they definantely did an excellent job with this device and it's user interface. This device is extremely small but has a powerful punch.

In all honesty I must say I hate apple products. I'm a windows fan. The only reason I bought this is because it was cheaper than the Boxee. Once I got this i loved it. It is great for the price. The biggest flaw I think is that it doesnt come with a hook-up cord to your T.V.!!! I love the fact that it has home sharing and I can listen to my music from my itunes on my TV!!! In fact I'm listening to it right now and it is amazing. I love the internet connection because it is very fast. The size is great. I like that it has many apps such as youtube, netflix, mobileme, and flickr. I would highly recommend this.

AppleTV is a fun addition to a television. It was easy to set up and I particularly like being able to use my iPhone as its remote. I find the Netflix interface easy to navigate - much better than the access I am able use through my Sony Blu-Ray player. The multitude of radio stations offered is a huge plus and connecting to all of the iTunes libraries in the house is a dream. Also, renting HD movies from iTunes is cheaper than the onDemand options my cable company provides. At only $100, this product is worth its cost.

The apple TV is a great way to turn a regular LCD or LED into a smart TV. It allows you to stream videos, music, pictures, and more from your other I devices. With a price around $100, you can't beat it. Similar setups, like google TV or going from regular to smart tv is about 4 times more. Do be aware however, because of the low price it does not include a HDMI cable, but the price of those has dropped significantly. I got one around $20.00. Works best with the iPhone remote app!

I am pleased with the technology and easy to use options on the device. it has replaced my cable subscription and saved $55 each month versus our old 2 yr agreement with direct tv. The ease of queueing up your itunes library to your tv is great for the whole family. This also works well with mac and iphone, airplay allows you to move from one device to another and accommodate everyone in the family.

The Apple TV is tiny, not much larger than a puck, but it is really power-packed. Now that Apple has introduced they sync of online purchases for things like TV shows, the value has gone even higher in my estimation. I bought a Samsung plasma and the picture quality, stream, and access to rentals via iTunes and Netflix are exceptional. If you're looking for a great way to "smarten up" an older TV, or if you simply enjoy the functionality of throwing images, streams, or videos and music from your iPhone or iPad to your home entertainment system, the Apple TV is for you. We now own three of them!

Just like most of my apple products this worked really well, it took no time at all to set up on WiFi and has worked flawlessly ever since. The first time using it it took a while to up load movies and such but the next day there was a very small delay. The only thing I wish is if it had a web browser but I knew it did not going in. Thanks

I recieved my Apple Tv as a present and didn't really understand the limits of what this device could do. After a little time, I started to play movies from my IPad2 on my tv. I also started to use my tv as a screen for my IPad2 so my wife and I could both look at the screen at the same time rather than passing the IPad back and forth.

I had the old Apple TV and loved it. I decided to get the new one so I could stream Netflix. I was blown away it was only $99. I love watching and/or buying movies, shows, etc. I also love watching all the movie trailers. People rarely bring that up, but it is fun Great video quality, however, it is NOT 1080P...its 720P. I have 46 Samsung LED and it looks great. It's an Apple product. In other words, it's a solid product that never breaks and is intuitive.

This is my second Apple TV (2nd Gen). Easy access to my music stored on my HD, as well as my downloaded movies I previously purchased from Itunes. The Netflix app is my favorite and has the easy navigational port over most other device that carry Netflix. Liked the 1st gen version but major improvements overall for the 2nd . My only beef if about the product is that it does not carry thte Hulu Plus app, which would be a great plus for stream viewing public.

This device is so simple. I plugged it in, connected to my wireless network and I was done. It saw all my iTunes libraries on my computers. I can listen to my music, watch my movies, TV shows all in my living room. It also has netflix built in. With my streaming Netflix account I watch movies every night. 5.1 surround sound and 720 HD looks and sounds great too. They did such a great job with this new version of Apple TV. A++ device, makes a great gift too.

My son talked me into buying Apple TV. I was very hesitant since we already already have DirecTV, Netflix and other access ready entertainment. What I love about this is I can view all my photos and listen to my music library right on my 55" LCD screen. The user interface is great. The only thing I have found since hooking it up is that my TV keeps wanting to reset it's video input. I have the Apple TV connected directly to my Onkyo HT receiver via HDMI.

The Apple TV works great at my house. It syncs with my MacBook Pro so I can watch all of my videos and tv shows that I have purchased from iTunes, as well as all of the digital copies from my Blu-ray discs that I have loaded onto iTunes. It has all the streaming applications you need and you can rent movies without leaving your couch. I would recommend this if you are looking for a streaming device and if you purchase movies and tv shows from iTunes.

True to Apple philosophy, it was extremely easy to hook up and begin to use. Works better than I expected. Very easy to search through movies, slide shows of your pictures and tv shows. Was set up and watching a movie in less than 15minutes. I expected to have some issues with internet connection but it found my connection painlessly. Very easy to navigate through the menu. Price is fantastic, well worth it! Have recommended to my family and friends.

I love my Apple TVs! I have one in the bedroom and one in the living room for watching movies and tv shows bought in iTunes and for watching Netflix. The only things that could be better are occasionally they have issues with connecting to Netflix or to iTunes on my Mac. Usually unplugging and replugging the unit or restarting iTunes on my Mac fix the issue. Overall though it works fine 99% of the time. The only other thing that is frustrating is that iTunes extras for movies do not work on the generation 2 Apple TV's. Come on Apple, you're better than that!

Been watching the Apple TV and thinking about buying one on BstBuy.com finally did black friday. So glad i did. no more hooking up cables from my ipod touch to the tv. use airplay now. plays movies song straight from my library. install was super easy. streams flawlessly. also like the mirroring that iphone 4s does with it using airplay. also you can use your iphone ipod touch or ipad as a remote control for the Apple tv. pretty neato!

I have a couple of these in the house and they work great. I can watch any of the content of my iTunes library on a HD TV. I also use it for Netflix and MLB.com both work well, you do need a good internet connection. I have them connected to the wired network in the house, so I don't know how well the wireless works. I have had more than one apple tv pulling a movie from the same computer and there is no lag or pausing of the video or sound. I used the PBS app on an iPad to display the content on the TV using airplay, worked with out a hitch.
