I bought this to use with my 48" LG television. I use it to connect with Netflix to watch movies that are available in my instant queue and to search for movies I would like to watch. The installation couldn't have been easier. Logging in and actually using the device is super easy. It works great! I also have searched YouTube and watched videos on my TV with this device. At the $99 price point, this was cheaper than other alternatives (getting a router) and more convenient than running a hardwire ethernet cord from the other room. I love it!

When it's working it's fine. However, it seems to disconnect from my tv when not in use. When I switch to HDMI 3 on my tv, most of the time I have no picture. I need to reset the device to get a picture. I don't use it too often so this is required each time I want to use it. It could be my Samsung tv but I really don't know. Logic tells me it's the apple tv having the problem. Other than that small issue it works great! I love what it does. I grew up with PC's so I'm used to things not working all the time. Slightly frustrating but a good product when it's working.

If you have an HDTV and a digital camera or camcorder, the ability to simply stream your photo library, music, and video is worth it. And the screensaver set to have your photos randomly float up is worth the price by itself. You'll spend hours listening to music and enjoying the photos. Then you get everything else, like the ability for people who have an iPhone or iPad, to show you their photos on your TV! And, of course, its elegant Apple design sets it apart from competitors. Add in Netflix, YouTube, many other services, and more!

I bought one of the old Apple TV's before I had an apple computer, and it woulnd't work with a Windows PC. This one works great with my MacBook Air or my Windows 7 PC. The only problem I've had is that the presentation goes into a screen saver mode after awhile. I'm sure it's a setting I haven't found yet. I mainly bought it to show our photos on the TV.

Love the apple TV! So easy to set up my 4 year old could do it! Switched to Netflix from Blockbuster to use the interface, and it is the best thing ever! Especially like the parental controls to keep the little ones from watching something they shouldn't! Connects to my iMac with no problems! Great product!

When you buy something from Apple, you know you are getting something of top notch quality. That being said, $100 is a little pricey for what you get. However, I still would say it is worth every penny. A similar product from Roku, or Sony would run you somewhere between $70 and $90. All of those products would lack my main purpose for purchasing it though. If you have an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad, then you NEED one of these things to take full advantage of AirPlay. Completely recommended! Truly an incredible product!

The small size is so convenient that I can move from room to room without too much of a hassle. I love the Netflix and the MLB-TV. No more watching baseball on my computer screen. Maybe 1080P will be available when version 3 comes out, but right now I am very satisfied. I will purchase another one soon.

It doesn't do alot, but what it does, it does very well. Brilliantly intuitive interface. Allows for iTunes library, podcasts, Internet radio, and home network content to be streamed into living room or theater. Nothing more, nothing less. Streaming only. No storage, no DVR. I highly recommend it for customers with these limited expectations. The wireless streaming works well if the client's wireless router is within 15 or 20 feet. Most of the time, I find I need to run an Ethernet wire from the office to the AppleTV location for a hardwired connection.

Very Easy to Install and works great! I have always either used a direct connection or FM Transmitter to stream my music from my computer to my home theater system. After setting up home sharing on the Apple TV I was very pleased with the results. My music collection has never sounded better! Streaming from Netflix via Wi Fi also works perfect. No problems. Apple has another winner with the 2nd Generation Apple TV.

I know there are other products that offer youtube for your TV(smartTV, DVD/BluRay Players) but this product is the only one that actually allows you to access all of your saved content and favorites. AppleTV is uber simple to use and set up. The only reason i did not give it five stars was because there is no option to use a qwerty style key board. The is no web browser either, but I think thats a good thing if you dont have keyboard.

Apple has begun to steal me away from the world of the PC first with an iPod, iPhone, iPad 1, iPad2, Macbook Pro, and now my Apple TV... Overall I find the Apple TV to perform as well as my LG BlueRay players when it comes to Netflix and related services, however the use of my iPhone or iPad for searching and controlling the device is a nice plus vs. using an onscreen keyboard. Love the mirroring capabilities from the iPad 2. Overall highly recommend. I got mine for $10 less during Black Friday, which makes it even a better deal.

I was a little leery at first when I bought this, but I'm glad I did! Netflix works even better because of the dedicated chip than my web-based TV and Apple Airplay stuns my guests every time I demonstrate it! Now if you can just get NFL games and Pandora on it, it would be unstoppable!

This is a great product for a reasonable price. Apple TV allows you to watch movies, series, sports, netflix etc. with a pay as you go system. Easy to install, works seamlessly. Thank you apple for another great product.

I purchased the Apple TV because I have an Iphone and Ipad, so for $100 this was not a bad price. I am able to stream movies thru Netflix and play my Itunes library (using my Iphone or Pad as a remote too). I can't wait for the new OS5 to come out which will allow me to Mirror what I am doing on my phone or pad on the TV. The only thing I would complain about is that the updates sometimes take forever to download and sometimes when I tell it to sleep (turn off) it will come back on. Other then that not bad for the price.

I bought this about 2 months before Apple realeased the HD version, but this is a great invention. Just plug in power cord and HDMI cable and you are ready to go. You can download a remote on your iphone to control the Apple TV and play anything on your iTunes. If you have an Ipad 2 or Iphone 4s you can mirror anything on your screen. I will definetly be buying the new HD apple tv and moving my 2nd gen to another tv in the house. The $99 price tag is way better than paying for netflix.

This is great to use for the new "airplay" feature on our ipad. It plays the videos from the computer - so it integrates great with the other Apple products pretty seamlessly. The HD graphics are great and it works great with our surround sound system. The only problem we have had is it doesn't seem to work well with the Verizon remote app...possibly because we don't use the Verizon router.

I have a Ipad, Ipod, & Iphone...so yes apple all the way. I added this due to some of the future functionally but after using it for a while I need moreeeee. Need airplay on 3rd party apps, need airplay over the internet, need downloadable apps for apple tv. Netflix is cool but it is already on my tv, xbox, everything. Great buy for 100...I say get it.

My daughter told me about this product at Christmas since I have Netflix but do not have a computer set up near my TV and didn't want to go to all that trouble. But did have wireless. So, I decided to give it a try a couple months later. I love it! I can stream my netflix, play the music on my computer and stream radio get movies and more I'm sure I havent figured out yet I'm sure. And as a very close to 60 something, did not find it that hard to set up with my limited tech knowledge.

I love my Apple TV and my 5 years old boy loves it even more. Features, functionality, and EASE of USE are second to none. I highly recommend it for anyone who already has Apple products: iPhone, iPad, and/or iPod because of the output mirroring feature. It comes in handy... I wish they had other options beside NetFlix because their selections for the movies that I like are very limited.

Truly a cool product with the ability to not only integrate both my iPhone and iPad into my entertainment system, but also allows access to many of the major providers of streaming content. Since my TV and Blu-ray both also connect, I use the Apple-TV primarily for iPhone and iPad integration. For $99 it is a great deal!
