I dislike the exclusive use of this USB-C proprietary charger and cord. It's irresponsible of Apple. They could have as least used a USB 3.0 on one end for versatility. It's cord is sadly sold separately too, again a waste of packaging material while attempting to hide the expensive total price of the charging unit.

Best Buy is pretty trustworthy with their product quality. instead of buying few more cheap one, chose a best one to replace your broken one worth every penny.

Cord is fine, Price is high

It was just really expensive due to it being Apple branded. It was also the only USB-C to USB-C cord they had in the store so I had to buy it. Basically, it is a good cord, just expensive.

Tihs cable is type c on both sides but is very, very long! IT works, but might be much longer than necessary for a harddrive. Really designed for charging a device.
