Bought this for my 82 year old mother. Her Fitbit, which she had for years, finally died, and she felt lost without a watch. It was so easy to set it up with a custom screen with the information she wanted, and the fact that it connected easily with her phone thrilled her to no end! She was concerned it was “too complicated” when she opened it, but now she won’t take it off, except to charge it. She loves the way she can answer the phone, read text messages and emails, all without taking her phone out of her pocket book. The pulse rate and fall notification give me peace of mind, too. No matter the age- this is the best watch to get.

I’ve owned every generation of Apple Watch since the Series 3, but the 2025 Apple Watch SE (GPS, 40mm Starlight) is the first one I genuinely look forward to wearing at night. Sleep tracking used to feel like a gimmick on older models – now it’s legitimately useful and ridiculously easy. The Starlight color is gorgeous in person (warm champagne-gold that matches everything), and the sport band is the most comfortable Apple has ever made – no more irritation after wearing it 24/7.
