    Came in Poor Condition w/Poorer Customer Service

    I purchased the "Excellent" Open Box Apple Watch 10 thinking I would receive a near-new watch, that it had been (at least) checked prior to sending to me. When it got to me, the tape said "Instected by Best Buy." But, when I opened the box, the instructions were missing from the box. So, I went to charge it. Charged it for 2 hours and it kept saying it couldn't pick up a charge no matter how I charged it and which charger I used. In other words, I received a completely defective product. No one had bothered to test it beforehand. Did I even get an Apple Watch 10? Or, someone's old Apple Watch that they threw into the box after they bought the 10? Anyway, called customer service to get a refund of the Apple Watch and AppleCare. (The hold line doesn't say a wait time and it can be 15+ mins with the muzak before someone picks up. Anyway...) They got me a replacement instead, thinking that would be easier for both of us. They said I needed to return the item ASAP, so I did a return while I was on the phone with them, which did not include the AppleCare. Instead, they said they ordered a replacement but after I hung up, I realized I received an email stating that they were out of stock (they are still not out of stock). So, I decided, given my last experience, I would use their text service. I said to myself, at least I will get the AppleCare refunded. The rep kept telling me over and over again (OVER 1.5 HOURS) that I would get the refund for AppleCare in the "next billing cycle." I kept telling them that's not applicable since I paid for it upfront. Also, since Best Buy sold me AppleCare, they need to refund me. And, AppleCare is separate from the watch (it did not show up on the return), I wanted them to process the return now. Plus, anyone can cancel AppleCare within 30 days of purchase. The rep kept insisting they couldn't do it, so I asked for their manager. (Sorry, had to pull a Karen.) When I did that, she conferred with her supervisor, who indeed confirmed that she can refund the AppleCare. Long story short, that is how I spent the last 3 hours trying to refund AppleCare and attempting to resolve this watch that I was really looking forward to enjoying. I am really disappointed with Best Buy. Will not be shopping here again.
