It's a great device! it has a pretty big price but it's functionality is amazing! I've had the first gen Apple Watch and the battery wasn't so great. Series 2 is a millimeter thicker(which you can't tell at all unless you compare side by side) but that's because there is a bigger battery inside and that juice is used for the new gps feature built in! But if you don't use that feature all the juice goes to your everyday usage. 50 meter water resistant is a bonus! It's super fast compared to its predecessor and Overall it's a wonderful device and honestly if you have the first gen Apple Watch it's not much of a difference just mainly the speed(New processor) and somewhat battery life. If you don't have an Apple Watch and your considering getting one the series 2 Apple Watch is the best way to go, that's of course if you have an iPhone lol. Again worth every penny!

Another great Apple product added to my list! I bought this mainly for the fitness aspect of it but everything else it does just adds up to even more benefits. I am able to use my watch as a golf range finder with it's gps capability rather than spend $200 alone on a golf watch. It allows me to see reminders texts calendar appointments and much more at a glance and I can even take calls on my wrist when I am tied up and not able to hold my phone. I couldn't be happier with this product overall and I especially love how everything ties in so well with the Apple ecosystem. I run MyFitnessPal to log my diet and it syncs with my watch and the Health app to let me know exactly where I stand. My Fitbit charge I had previously could NEVER tie everything in together so well. Don't look at anything else, if you have any other Apple product especially an iPhone, get yourself an Apple Watch!

Pros
- better battery life vs original series
- faster processor
- GPS enabled
- Waterproof
Cons
- shorter cable on the charger than what came with the original apple watch
- slightly thicker, measurable not really noticeable
Other Thoughts
Overall this is a great watch, the original depreciated really bad as a result of this upgrade though so if you're looking to sell an original series apple watch and get this one you won't get much for your old one, I know I didn't.
The GPS seems to be really solid and accurate. I've taken the watch on several runs through wooded areas and got a very accurate track with accurate distance. Certainly did a lot better than my Nike+ Sport Watch on the same trail.
The water ejection from the speaker does work well. Even though they didn't really advertise the original as being waterproof, I wore it in the shower all the time and never had any issues so the "waterproof" upgrade isn't that big of a deal for me.
The screen brightness is noticeable but really only in broad daylight. The speed difference is noticeable. I've tested this watch side by side with an original and it is faster at loading apps and things. Don't expect it to be perfect though, some things still take time to load, I'm guessing because anything that needs an internet connection has to run through your phone. I really wish they would have it prefer WiFi when available over your phone, I think it would give it a faster overall experience.

This watch is perfect for my needs. Not not does it have built in GPS and is water resistant it also gives me text, phone calls and email without having to pull out my phone each time. I like the fitness features which allows me to set a particular workout like running, cycling or ellipitcal etc. and it tracks calories and distance and even heart rate . It also looks great and the look can change by purchasing different bands

I wavered for a long time about whether I actually wanted to purchase an Apple Watch or not. There are cheaper fitness trackers and a watch is a watch, right? And, I haven't worn a watch in over a decade. But the addition of built-in GPS in the Series 2 watch intrigued me. I still wasn't sold on the idea, but after continuing to waver back and forth I finally decided "What the heck" and purchased this watch.
I'm really glad I did.
I actually use this thing less as a watch (although I do glance at it for the time) than I do a fitness tracker and as a productivity tool. As a fitness tracker, it is easy to record workouts including distance (if applicable), pace and heart rate. The breadth of information you can get through the included Activity app (on an iPhone) is really good, plus there are third party applications that can give you even more information from the watch. Although sleep-tracking isn't built into the watch, there are several good third party apps that allow you to use the watch for sleep tracking and they work well.
As a general use tool, I like not having to fish my phone out of my pocket to get news updates, text messages and to see who is call. You can even make and answer calls on the watch (although you have to have the e pairs iPhone nearby to do so). You can load music onto it to use with bluetooth headphones (without need the phone nearby). I use it to listen to podcasts in the car during my commute to and from work. There is a whole ecosystem of applications for the watch that add a wide variety of functions. And, perhaps most importantly, it is very easy to temporarily turn off all notifications when you don't want to be bugged, but still want the watch with you.
Battery life in my watch has been surprisingly good. I wear and use the watch all day and usually end the day with at least 60% battery life remaining (according to the watch). That means I could use it two full days without having to charge it. I generally wear it to bed at night (for the sleep tracking I mentioned earlier) and plug it in each morning after I get up and go about my morning routine. I will put it back on 45 minutes to an hour later and it is fully charged and ready to go.
Lastly, Apple advertises this watch as being water resistant or some such. I have never tried this out, but it has a function to eject water from inside of it (with the built in speaker). I'm sure I wear it in water at some point, I just haven't found a reason to do so yet.
Overall, I'm very happy I decided to get the Apple Watch.

Exceed my expectations.
I’ll admit it, I subscribe to a ton of junk alerts: traffic, weather, news, events and jokes from my pals. Occasionally I get an important message, but I seem to constantly be checking the phone.
Not only has my watch significantly cut down on my checking ‘dings’ from my phone, but it has an added benefit.
Unknowingly upon purchase, the watch monitors my physical activity (or lack thereof).
An hour after setting up the watch (wicked easy), it told me to stand up and move around. At first I thought this to be rude, but realized I was sitting doing nothing so moved around.
Long story short, I have my activity levels set and check these more than my messages. I have lost 22lbs and feel better than I have in yrs purely because of the watch and striving to hit my goals.
For me, this is MUCH more than a time teller.

Bought this to help motivate me. Has reminders to help keep you active. I decided on this rather than the Series 3 here is why . The functionality is pretty much the same only no Independent cell service ( without phone) and Siri doesn’t talk out loud. Battery life seems good , I get 2 1/2 days before charging. I haven’t worn a watch in years and this seems comfortable right out of the box . It’s waterproof around 150 feet or so . Thus far I’ve only had it on in the shower twice and have had no issues. Works directly with iMessage and for phone calls ( as long as iPhone is in range . Overall I’m pleased with this purchase and hope to get good use from this for a long time. A week or so after purchase, Best Buy reduced the price . I called them and was instantly taken care of and issued a refund for the difference.

Bought this because I’m diabetic and thought it would help motivate me to exercise more often. It does remind you to stand up every hour and keeps track of many other things as well. This is the first watch I’ve worn in many years . It fits well and seems very comfortable. The pairing is very straight forward and works seamlessly with my iPhone. I can get 2 and 1/2 days from a charge with moderate use . The waterproof feature seems good as I have jumped in the shower a couple times with no issues. Replacement bands are a must and I would recommend getting them from amazon, good selection and much cheaper than anything Apple has . It went on sale a week or so after purchasing but one call to Best Buy and I was quickly giving a refund of the difference. All in all I would say it’s been a good purchase!

At first I was not sure if having an Apple Watch was worth it as I thought they were overrated overpriced hardware. I am an Apple fan but couldn’t imagine spending so much on something that my current Fitbit Blaze already did. My wife who has an Apple Watch kind of convinced me to give it a try. First thing that concerned me was battery life knowing I would have to charge it almost every day versus getting a solid 10 Days with my Blaze. That turned out to not be an issue as it’s really about every 2-3 Days it needs charging. The charger is pretty cool as it’s “wireless” however I found it difficult to charge on just a flat surface like a table. I immediately purchased a charging stand for it and that is something I highly recommend! As for everything else the watch does, it definitely offers a lot more potential than my Blaze did. I can text by using using Siri to reply to messages and all of them show up on my watch. Along with that I can receive calls using my watch if I can’t get to my phone to answer. I feel most of the fitness stuff that I had on my Blaze is also available on the apple Watch so I wasn’t missing out on tracking that stuff. Overall the look of the watch and features it offers was better than the Blaze so I converted to the Apple Watch series 2 and have not thought about going back.

I bought this watch for my husband due to the demise of his FitBit after only 10 months. The Apple Watch is so much better than his FitBit~~ no comparison. The watch is good looking, easy to use, keeps you informed of all text messages and e-mails, and lets you see & feel (on vibrate) all cell phone calls. The apps to keep you healthy and moving are far superior to the FitBit product. Soooo worth the price! If you are undecided about getting an Apple Watch: DO IT!!! You won't regret it~~EVER!

I owned the first Apple Watch version and did wear it every day. Loved it but it was slow and laggy and hard to run apps with any efficiency. This version is much better with speed and WatchOS 3 is much more fitness friendly. The addition of gps on the watch is a great addition. Also, the battery is significantly improved and can track several workouts throughout the day without needing to worry about charging. I just put it on the charging stand at night and its ready to go in the morning. I have tried the Samsung Gear 2 (not bad but not as good) and Huawei Watch (not on same level) and this is by far the best. Of course, you really need an iPhone to make it work.

I'd first off like to say I've had mine for a month or two less than a year. It hasn't gave me another reason not to upgrade to the newest one when i have the time to get it. I love this watch because if can do just about everything my phone can do but text ( which you can do talk to text ) and take pictures ( it just pulls it up from your phone ). It gets great distance as far as Bluetooth goes. I can't walk into a gas station with out it loosing service but that's okay. I like the fact that since I manage a store , that if I'm not within hands reach of my phone and it's on silent I can answer it from my watch. It isn't very loud which is something I would suggest fixing ( Apple ) the icons aren't hard for me to reach because of he ( zoom ) feature. I also like the fact that if your friend or significant other has one , you can send them taps , doodles and or your heart beat. Which is a cool factor to have . I have yet to test the theory to see if the heart rate is accurate but it seems to be. Also I like the special features it has for text like I said with doodles and or with the different emojis. I recommend if you are willing to get one I would definitely invest in one. It's worth it. It also tells you with a "thump" on your wrist while your phone is in navigation mode on when to turn. I have been wearing mine all day and took 4 phone calls and it's currently at 59% battery life. I have dinged my watch it's been hit while putting clothes in the dryer and still have yet to scratch the face of it. I chose black to deter from dirty wrist bands and it's good with any outfit. Plus after wearing it for a long period of time like a full day , it makes your skin sweat and it gets wet , no worries I have been in the rain while wearing it. Over all I would give this a 9 out of 10 stars. The charge is very fast on it . And alerts are decent . I get them on my watch before my phone . I would wait if I were you to purchase this watch unless you really want it , it's just like iPhones they will have a better one out soon for the same price , and different features . I got the 38mm because I'm tiny and women normally go for the 38mm I have a side by side what the 42 looked like before I purchased it. And it was a big difference . Men mostly need to go for a 42mm unless you have tiny arms. I would recommend trying it on before purchasing. Also it does come with the magnetic docking station to charge , which I bought the stand for ( gold stand not included ) , and also a S/M , M/L wrist bands free.

Didn't want the 3 so got the series 2. Extremely happy with the watch! Love that it can track my workouts for me - calories, time, etc. Also love being able to glance at my watch to see who's calling, texting without pulling my phone out and love that I can reply still without pulling out my phone. I know, you're saying that's the basics and yes it is but I'm still figuring out all that the watch can do but loving every bit of it so far.

My 16 year old son loves the watch. This is his second one as he preordered the first one when the Apple Watch was just released. The battery works great, lasts for days, is water resistant and he loves all the features it has. Of course all kids want the latest and greatest, but we couldn't see spending the extra money on the 3 when the 2 has everything he wants. He totally loves it and it does everything he wants!!

This is a great looking Watch that is highly customizable to your taste and usage. But it's much more than a watch...more like an extension of your iPhone and a fitness coach. As a phone extension, it brings to your wrist significant alerts from your apps without reaching for your phone, e.g calls, msgs, map alerts, music, reminders, events, and lots more. As a coach, it keeps track of all your motion, workouts, heart rate, sitting , breathing...and reminds you to stand or breathe or do a workout. A lot of your iPhone apps provide some Watch function too. Phone calls, Siri, msgs, appts, maps, Apple Pay, are just a glance away. Dictating to your wrist is liberating and easy. Screen brightness is spectacular. Battery life is really good. Built in GPS and waterproof case means you can leave the phone behind and go anywhere. There's a lot of tech in this small package. if your phone makes you happy, this could only add to it. Like your phone, it's capabilities keep growing.

I'm so happy I purchased the Apple Watch 2 42mm for my husband. He's had the 1st series since they first came out and his biggest worry was it getting wet! Well, not anymore. He's already had it on while swimming, he has showered with it and had absolutely ZERO issues with it! The fact that it now has a GPS feature was also a great selling point for me. We hated having to walk our neighborhood while holding our phone just so we were able to track our walking path. Now, he's able to just leave the house with my bluetooth headphones for music and the watch. It's awesome!

I couldn't be more pleased with my Series 2 iWatch. It's very simple to setup right out of the box and pair it with your iPhone. The face is a good size to see what you're looking at and not oversized. Easy to use and comes with a longer band (already installed) or you can put the shorter band on if you've got a smaller wrist. Switching bands is also simple with the push of a button.

I was a little hesitant to buy the Apple Watch but I have been super happy with my purchase. I love the fitness tracking and GPS to measure pace, distance and track routes. The HR and cals burned along with the charting of activities is great motivation, -although I do wish the daily activity could be adjusted like the cal burn goal. I was skeptical if the text and phone feature would be of much use but I find them really heldful and easy to use. Not having to carry the phone around the house or office is a good feature and the talk to text works great. I was also concerned about battery life but it has not been a problem and the watch charges really quickly. I have not really explored any additional apps but what come pre loaded is really all I need. All that said, if you are not active and enjoy the fitness tracking then I am not sure if you will really love the watch.

The fixed the battery issue from my original apple watch which was easily my biggest complaint. This battery lasts much longer now and gets me through my work day. Great functionality and all of the features you would expect and then some. Highly recommended. Now right at the $300 price point which is probably where it should have been priced in the first place.
