Since I have a Boost Mobile phone, I knew that I wouldn't be able to use this watch with the cellular plan (unless something changes with Boost in the future to allow it), but at the time of my purchase the sale price of the GPS+Cellular option was significantly cheaper than the GPS only model, so I figured it made sense to buy this model, and just use it without the cellular option, and save some money. Bought this to incentivize myself to get up and be more active. To that end, it works well! I enjoy the hourly 'stand' notifications, prompting me to get up and move around every hour. It's easy to get wrapped up in homework, or reading, and forget to get up and move around. I also enjoy the challenge of closing my activity rings, as it gives me a daily goal to achieve. Being able to see and respond to text messages, Facebook messages, and phone calls has turned out to be even handier than I'd anticipated. I keep my phone put away while I'm at work, but having this watch allows me the opportunity to quickly, and discreetly, respond to messages without looking unprofessional or taking me away from my work duties. I didn't particularly like the sports band that came with the watch as it was kind of scratchy and uncomfortable. However, I hadn't intended on using the band anyway, as I'd ordered a rainbow metallic magnetic band off from an online site the same day I ordered this watch. As far as the functionality of this watch's activity tracker, that's where the flaws come in. While the 'Stand' loop works well and has no issues, the exercise tracker has serious issues. You can't adjust the number of minutes that you want as your exercise goal, as it is stuck at 30 minutes daily. That's okay, as I am fine with exceeding the 30 minute daily goal on the way to reaching my daily calorie, or 'move', goals. However, the watch does not accurately track exercise at all. It works great when I'm puttering around my house, which has highspeed wifi, but as soon as I leave the house, it flounders. I average about 1 minute per every 5 to 8 minutes of exercise. It's not a matter of heart rate, as my heart rate stays up over the 'brisk walk' threshold throughout my workout. If I go for a long, brisk, walk outside for an hour, I'm lucky if it tracks 5 minutes of that walk. If I go for an hour long bike ride, it tracks maybe 15 to 25 minutes of it, 35 on a good day. I've looked this issue up on Google and have seen numerous complaints of similar issues across many different discussion boards, so I know this is a consistent issue across the board. I can go into the Apple Health app and plug in my workouts through there and it, usually, will then update my exercise ring to reflect my actual exercise minutes (I say, 'usually', because sometimes that glitches also and either doesn't update my activity rings, or it skips the 'end time' to the next day, which then makes it look as though I exercised for over 20 hours straight!). It's more than a little frustrating that a device that costs this much would have such a glaring flaw, that so many have voiced complaints about, and Apple seems to just ignore those complaints. However, despite that irritation, I am keeping the watch as it still serves to motivate me to keep moving and active, and the additional features I mentioned earlier in my review are especially handy when I'm at work, out exercising, or in the middle of something that makes it hard to stop and go get my phone. If Apple ever gets around to fixing the issue with the exercise tracking, this watch would warrant a 5 star rating without question.

This watch extends the utility of the iPhone world. Wish it would last a few days per charge instead on one day. Still small and relatively light and so far waterproof.

I needed a heart rate monitor for training- did a lot of research- and decided on Apple Watch because it does that and 2 deciding factors: I can touch a symbol and my phone “pings”- if it is in the same place. Awesome when it is hiding under papers- in the side of the sofa- in a purse... Secondly I love it being a cell phone- I row in nature and don’t want to bring phone in boat- if I am in distress I can call 911 or friends from my watch. I have received calls while on water from Europe- that cracked me up.

Love the watch, battery life is much better than my last watch. I love that I can connect my wireless headphones with my watch and without my phone being close. Down side the wireless plan doesn't always work when you don't have your phone

I bought this watch for my wife since she works in a hospital, and let me tell you that it is the most beneficial gadget accessory for her. She does not have to keep pulling her phone out to check for any incoming messages or phone calls, and thankfully she can leave her phone somewhere away from her and still conduct the business she needs to. She is thankful for the cnvenience, and I’m even considering getting one myself in the future. For now, it only gets four stars because of the limitations it has interacting with non-apple-affiliated programs. Perhaps in the near future, this could be improved upon.

I have an iPhone and this new watch on a Verizon plan. I have found that the watch does not have the same level of data reception as the phone, which is disappointing, because I don't want to carry my phone everywhere - something I have to do for work. Other than that I do like the watch. I am still discovering all of the cool features.

I purchased the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + cellular) 38mm Gold Aluminum Case with Pink Sand Sport loop band for my wife's birthday. She likes the watch and wears it all the time. The only drawback is the band included with the watch: average quality and not as comfortable as other bands offered by Apple...at a higher price of course.

I love my iWatch. I love having my phone on my wrist. I really enjoy having texting and weather with my all the time. I would like Apple to change the step/ exercise program associated with the watch though. I don’t walk 3 mph so my 30 minutes of exercise don’t match everything else I do daily. I recommend the iWatch for all those Apple fans

Great watch, however they aren’t all they’re cracked up to be on Sprint network. My wife liked the idea of not needing to keep her phone with her everywhere. Our experience has been that when she leaves the phone behind her calls don’t usually go through. Text are not completely reliable but better than calls. We’ve had it checked out at Apple but it seems it’s a consistent problem with the network, not the phone. Probably great on another network.

I got the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) 38mm for my wife mainly for health and safety reasons. She's recently been experiencing her heart racing so now we can set a heart bpm alert level and the watch can call me or emergency responders if needed.

I love this watch I bought for myself and it works as advertised, but I wish I had purchased the smooth pink wristband as it would be easier to clean. This band got dirty looking pretty fast. I do like the easy on and off that Velcro provides.

I bought this for my daughter for a Christmas gift. She really loves it. But I think the same about this as I do about most Apple products...too expensive. It therefore became a Christmas, Valentine, Easter, Birthday gift.

Lite weight and don't even know you're wearing it. Like being able to leave phone at home when walking our doggy. I would have given it 5 stars except the watch face choices are limited unlike my S3 which seem unlimited.

This works great with my iPhone 8 and allows me to stay in contact when at grad school! Also helps monitor my health and fitness. (Only thing I wish it had was the ability to use safari to get online)
