    I opted for the Series 7 when it went on sale compared to Series 8 since only added benefit here is the temperature sensor on S8. Even the chip on S7 and S8 are exactly same as the one on series 6. Personally color here is great, and I would only recommend getting the S8 if you got extra $$$ and/or woman needing help with cycle tracking for which temp sensor is good.
