I have purchased these headphones before and really love them. I had the urbeats and the buttons kept breaking so I got these apple ones. I beat up my headphones and these ones seem to take the abuse. If you don’t want to switch to wireless these are great headphones.

Great alternative to the original apple earbuds! Anytime I try to buy soft tip earbuds of other brands, the volume never works. I'm so glad these do work and all of my Apple products.

The original ear pods is great, but may not be that great on a train, plane, or bus. This one can greatly reduce the noise of your surroundings.

I purchased these to have a set of Apple ear buds that would stay in my ears better during a workout than the regular apple ear buds I have. While they do stay in the ear, the sound quality is not very good. There is little low frequency and the music sounds very "tinny". I returned them within one day after I received them. Although the regular ear pods don't stay put as well, they have much better sound quality.

I bought these because the headphones with mic & remote did NOT come with the ipod I purchased at the Apple store. They only gave me the most basic headphones. These headphones are in ear, which is more comfortable for me and the remote is so useful for controlling volume, pausing or skipping tracks on the ipod. Not sure why they are so much more expensive though.
