Apple care + geek squad .. AirPod pros

Ive reset it multiple times, always took good care of them .. today I brought them into Best Buy while my warranty was still active and they gave me two options, to send in to be repaired or Apple would replace. Customer service wasn’t great until I was directed to a geek squad gentleman who initiated the repair/ replacement. Hopefully I will be taken care of but I was surprised I didn’t have the level of speed/ care for the replacement I excepted as I’d previously experienced for Apple products + Best Buy.
