This is the first time I've ever purchased AppleCare but I felt inclined to do so when I got my new iPhone 6s Plus after having issues with my 6 Plus a little over a month ago. Luckily I was still under my 1 year warranty (it was expiring in January) so it was replaced for free but if the issue had occurred just a month later I would have had to pay $325 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement! While at Apple I saw several people with issues that were out of warranty and had no coverage so seeing the prices they were going to have to pay was a wake up call. At the time I wasn't sure if I was going to upgrade any time soon but I told myself when I did I would definitely get coverage just in case. I had been lucky all of these years but it's a false sense of security when an unexpected incident occurs and you're not prepared to pay a lump sum. I really like that this not only extends the regular warranty for 2 years but it also covers accidental damage. I'm generally careful with my devices and have only had one damaged due to a car accident so I never felt the need for insurance. After much research I felt like AppleCare+ was a great option to choose just in case versus carrier plans with a lower deductible and the confidence in being able to deal with Apple directly.

you HAVE to buy this with any new phone.you will never regret buying this just regret not buying it.

I haven't really came across a reason to file a claim with my iPhone and I have had it for over 6 months now. I have a case and a screen protector and I feel if you have these two things you really don't need this insurance. But I have it anyway just in case something out of the normal happens where I have to turn to the insurance. It's good to have and AppleCare definitely will do what they can to keep the consumer happy! I speak from experience they will help.

Coverage is basically the same as what your cellular company's third party carrier offers, however it's about a dollar cheaper than my company, and I like having the separate bill and contract info for it. Best buys is easier understand the terms and use if /when needed. usually the details and terms of coverage Get Lost in Translation in your carrier bill and additional 3rd party paperwork they send you.

I have not tried the warranty coverage yet since I just got the phone new last week, but the price is right and the deductible is much lower than AT&T so we will see how good they are if we have to use it in the future.

I'm happy to see Bestbuy offering an installment plan on Apple care, I like that it gives a customer the option of paying monthly as oppose to shedding out the $129 all at once.

My daughter is great at dropping her phone and breaking the screen. The apple care will ensure she doesn't have to worry about it. I should say I won't have to worry. Lol.

I only gave it 5 stars because in theory its worth the extra money, but I haven't had to use it, so I can't validate it's worth to it's entirety.

Have not had to use this yet but from what I am hearing It is good to have for $7.99 a month. Getting a screen replaced to new phone if it can not be fixed. I think all iPhone users should purchase this plan.

I'm definitely glad I purchased apple care. $99 for a replacement vs the $250 it would've cost me if I went through my phone company. Totally worth it.

If you're buying a phone for a first time smart phone user, then this may be worth it. You can test drive and cancel later.
