    Absolute waste of money. I lost my phone and apple makes it impossible to get a phone. I am from Chicago and lost my phone in Austin, TX. Went to an Apple store and they asked me to call in. I told them that I don't have a phone to call in. They rolled their eyes and gave me a cell phone to call in. The person on the phone requires another apple product to finish two factor authentication. When I told them, I do not have another apple product, that's where it was stuck. They couldn't move forward. I left everything else back home and had to wait until I got back home. Once the claim was filed, it takes 4 business days to approve the claim that was filed, then another business day to ship and 2 business days to receive. Assuming there are no holidays between. Do NOT believe "Next day shipping" that's BS.

    I purchased this for my stepdaughters new iphone X in December online when I ordered her new phone for xmas, this is the only reason I purchased from Best Buy is because of the monthly applecare plan, I didnt have the luxury to purchase it up front so this was a great choice for me. I NEVER received any info after the purchase about the applecare monthly plan, NOTHING. I only received my emailed receipt with tracking info for the phone. I had no idea how it was charged monthly. So in January I receive an email stating my applecare plan would be canceled if I didnt update my payment info, so I click the link on the email to update my payment info and get a success confirmation. Again I NEVER heard another word, I also have no access to this plan online of course because I never received any info. There is no place to review it, no confirmation that it is active - NOTHING. So here it is February and again my card is not charged so I call and I am told my plan has been cancelled and there is NOTHING anyone can do, so thanks Best Buy for costing me an extra $9.99 when I purchased the phone. Oh yeah no refunds, again I was told there was NOTHING they could do.

    I have AppleCare+ for my iphone. My phone had a hardware failure. It took about 12 day’s until they even sent the replacement They sent a refurbished phone that is defective and now I’m in a loop with a terrible customer service person about getting the replacement replaced! On a side note, the tech support was fine. It took 3 hours for them to establish the phone itself was defective. The lady they passed this onto to get it replaced since it was taking an exorbitant amount of time to even ship does NOT belong in customer service.

    This is a rip off you pay and they take and when you need the apple care they rip you off my wife lost her phone so I was paying to Best Buy also a rip off who transferred you the the geek squad also a rip off but the biggest is apple care they put me through hell they turn off my phone and for over a month they played game they had me try all these things the this is the best now I am 65 years old but they told me I had to turn off my wife phone the one she lost and again apple turned my phone off without me turning on find my phone which wasn’t on but they wanted me to turn my wife’s on but last and all these week playing game ag they APPLE TURNED MY PHONE OFF BUT NOW MY WIFE WASN’T TURNED ON SO AFTER TAKING MY MONEY Since 2/13/20 they tell me there is NOTHING THEY COULD DO EXCEPT KEEP MY MONEY RIP OFF APPLE CARE BEST BUY GEEK SQUAD

    Amazing Service

    My phone was broken into many different pieces from an accidental fall. I took it into the Apple Store in a plastic bag with the various parts of the phone sitting in it. They were able to get me a replacement the next day for only 99$, and I was given a “loaner” phone for the time that it took to get the replacement. For reference this was an iPhone 14 Pro Max 1tb. I am highly impressed with Apple, and AppleCare+.

    I made an appointment at 3:20 to replace the front screen of iphone. They had to run a one hour diagnostics to make sure it is repairable. Was told to come back in an hour. I did. It was verified repairable. They proceeded to complete the required apple care paperwork. She asked questions like how long ago did the damage happen and type of surface phone fell on. This continues for about 30 minutes. Finally she gets back to the phone and tells me oh no we need to do the diagnostic check. I said you already did thats why im back after an hour. She shows the phone to other employees and they agree need to run diagnostics again. Apparently theres a small window of time between end of diagnostics and start of signing in on phone. The signing in was started late. I blame the paperwork. Diagnostic plus wait on the repair ahead of me. They can have it ready around 9 pm. That’s with a 3:20 pm appointment. I still have the broken screen.

    Is it really worth it?

    Spoke to a rep at Best Buy (assuming out of country or out of area) it was a little hard to understand her but she told me $30 service fee would be applied, I got to Best Buy for repairs $104 and 7 hours of my time wasted. I drove 1 hour, dropped the phone off they told me 5 hours, drove 1 hour home. Insane! Next time I’ll deal with apple directly.

    it's a cut dry they offer accidental insurance but there having a hard time standing behind it Been getting the run around since October 26 and still don't have my i phone 7 pluse have sent it in three time to them and still waiting on them to figure something out should be no questions it's accidental insurance it fail out of my pocket and got ran over take caution if this the only insurance on your phone they try to get out it !! Just Beware !!

    horrible service from Apple Care +. At the time I purchased apple care plus there was no mention of a large amount $1299 hold that they would place if your phone gets damaged. When i filed a claim they wanted to place a large hold of $1299 on my credit card till i return the old phone, and this was never mentioned during the time i purchased the pllace care plus. So now although i pay for apple care plus they wont repair or place my phone. Apple is a horrible company. Now I have a broken phone and i still pay for apple care without any support from them

    Apple Care + insurance not honored

    Had Apple care + on my phone. Paid $689.54 in insurance premiums over 46 months. My phone was stolen. Contacted Assurant who is the insurance provider for Apple Care +. I paid the required $269 deductible. It has been 14 days and they “will ship the device once it is in stock”. They do not know when it will be in stock. They will not say if it will be a week or month or when. It has already been two weeks.i have paid $958.54 total to Assurant Insurance for nothing to be done. I contacted Apple twice about it. They said “sorry they will ship the device when they get it in stock”. Completely unacceptable.

    what a joke have purchased dozens on apple care plans over the last 20 years but finally had to make a claim on a set of beats headphones. they want to hold 299 bucks on my credit card for a undisclosed time frame to do the exchange of bad product. currently have many devices on apple care and calling and cancelling them all today and going a different route. the warranty is only as good as the people who service it and what a joke. i am currently having to drive over a hour now to try to get them fixed.

    My Mac Pro dropped off the couch onto the carpet and screen cracked. Looked it up and considered a delicate laptop. Had apple care, had to pay $99 for repair. Asked if I had my original box, which I did and sent in. Had my case cover on. Only was one day to repair and recovered in the same week. No original box or my case was sent back. The customer service polite but blamed me. I said was just following directions and nowhere did it signify to take of the case. Out $30 for a new case cover. Will never buy an apple computer again. It’s complicated even connecting to apple plus.

    DO NOT RECOMMEND. This a terrible waste of money. If you can purchase any other insurance that will actually get you a new phone or a quicker way to get your device repaired go with another way to do so. They do not care about getting your device repaired promptly or at all it seems like. WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLE DEVICE this is AWFUL!!

    I don’t not recommend Apple care at all. I started a repair on November 16 and did all of the necessary things required for the repair to get started. Two weeks past and I can them because I haven’t heard anything back. They say is was back order until the 12/16. They were surprised that no one told me that it was taking that long. I was annoyed but understand why it would take so long. Check the repair status on 12/19 and still no updates at all. No has called or email me a update on the status of repaired. I just canceled the repair order and AppleCare because they won’t update you on repairs or even tell you if it is backorder to who knows when. So in general I won’t not recommend Apple Care for iPhones.

    I've always have bought applecare+ for every phone and tablet I have owned or bought for my wife or kids. Ever since the iPhone 4s came out. I saw the monthly plan a couple years back and jumped on it. I never had an issue fixing any device, even when such devices were completely unfixable. It was just replaced by a new (refurbished) device. It's true you can't check the status of the applecare within the best buy website, but you can always use the actual apple website and check it. Sooo, yeah... I wouldn't mail it to corporate and instead go in person to an actual apple store. I recently had an issue with a air book were some guy there was stating it would cost $1200 to repair the laptop, after I was told it would only cost $250. A quick talk to an employee there and the issue was resolved within minutes. Overall, satisfied customer for close to 10 years.

    So I saw this was being charged to my phone months after upgrading. Called and the foreign customer service said I can cancel but you can't be refunded. Stupid! Last phone I buy from Best buy

    Applecare is such a major rip off. Bought it for my 12 year olds iphone because lets be serious, a 12 year old will at some point accidentally damage their phone. Sent it off to apple and all repairs refused stating phone was abused. Phone wasn't abused it was dropped which is why we buy this insurance, for coverage. Apple will look for every little ding on the phone in order to deny your claim. Don't waste your money.

    This is complete trash! Don’t waste your money! Go directly through Apple if you want AppleCare. When it’s time to cancel the service no one knows ANYTHING! Please save yourself the headache! It’s not worth it! Not to mention if you need help Bestbuy Geeksquad is useless! Complete waste of money. If I could give “0” stars I would.
