I sold the computer and was told that I could get my money back. So far all I have accomplished is being handed off to some snarky guy that sounded like he just got up.

Don't waste your time and go to the Apple Store

Using the applecare+ plan, I tried to have the laptop serviced at the local Best buy location, and they basically told me the repair wasn't covered and would cost me as much as the laptop to replace. FAKE NEWS! I brought the laptop directly to the apple store, and it was serviced for free, and only took 3 days because they needed to order the part. Long story short... even though Best Buy is a certified AppleCare location, save your time and money, and go directly to the source.

Very handy, lighter than a MacBook. Battery life is very satisfactory. Sturdy construction. Excellent value for money when purchased at this price level. See you in 7 years.

I've worked at geek squad a few years ago and this computer wasn't cleaned or packaged (like-new). There were smudges and a scratch. The geek squad certified guidelines include - No Scratches. This was packaged with geek squad tape which isn't something an agent should do. all around - terrible packaging and who ever inspected this should be reconsidering what "certified" means. I know what I'm getting when buying open box - but certified steps up the game. just my 5 cents. Know what you're buying.
