Expensive, but I believe AppleCare's necessary.

Although I don't usually purchase extended warranties, I believe it's necessary for my Apple purchases. I have had issues in the past where the device was unusable after the year warranty expired. In those instances, it made more sense to replace the expensive device versus paying the expensive service fees involved with repair the device.
