Not really what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this item in order to try to salvage the hard drive off of my wife's dropped macbook pro. We planned to then use her old hard drive as an external hard drive. Since I am not tech savvy, I assumed that we would just put the old hard drive into the box and it would work. The mac hard drive would not fit due to these weird prongs on the outside. The Best Buy sales guy did not tell us about the prongs and if we are supposed to remove them, we don't have the proper tools to do so. If you are just wanting the storage space, skip this product and go buy a TB for less than this case costs.

Once we got it installed it worked great

Solid Case - Does what it says.

Drive opens with a thumb slider but requires screws to hold the drive in place. Comes with replication software but I have not used that as I needed the case for another purpose. End product after assembly is very solid. Come with USB 3 / 2 Cable.
