This filter is an excellent value and a very easy install; as a plumbing newbie, I was able to install this system in under an hour and a half, including drilling a hole in my sink top for the faucet. If you have an open socket, cut the time to an hour. The water won in our blind taste test (against straight tap and bottled spring water). The flow rate is very satisfactory, unlike the lethargic systems I've used in others' houses. We aren't generating mountains of plastic bottle waste and we're saving money. The initial cost of water is somewhere around $0.25 per gallon for the first period, and will be about $0.08 once we begin replacing filters. The only complaint I'd have is with the mounting screws. The plastic anchors didn't work well in our cabinet. I'll need to go back and put in other screws, not a big deal. You'll need a wrench, drill (right angle drill if you have it), and screwdriver to get this in. If you need to drill a hole through your stainless steel sink, use a 7/8" hole saw and a lot of lubricant. I used Blaster lube, re-applied frequently, and drilled slowly.

We moved into a new house and the water filtration setup we previously had was not compatible. After a couple of months of trying to use a Brita pitcher we knew having a filtration system was necessary. Bought this system, easy to install, water tastes good and filters have a decent life. I’m happy with this purchase.

Ended up returning this item. Installed as required. It began to fill up my first glass of water at a relatively at which is a ridiculously slow speed. It will take you about 30 minutes to fill a gallon jug at this rate. I have normal city water pressure and no other issues with any other filter systems. Also I was hoping the spout would swing over the top of a gallon jug so I can fill a gallon jug of water to place in my refrigerator. However the spout is not tall enough to go over the top of a regular gallon jug.
