Fun games that bring back lots of memories! Having the included stool is nice as you can spend hours playing all the different games

The 40th Anniversary Pac-Man Special Edition Arcade Game from Arcade1Up is a great throw back to the 80's. Assembly takes about two hours with easy to follow instructions. Extra features like the dual speakers, lighted marquee, volume level control, custom riser and the included chair make this cabinet really stand out. The games included have the same game play and strategy as the original arcade versions. This is my first Arcade1up cabinet and I will be adding Ms. Pac-Man to the collection when it is available from Best Buy.

I purchased this as a fathers day present for my husband. Unfortunately, the first time, I had to return it because the hardware and instructions were missing on an otherwise never opened package )please folks, check the box before you leave the store). Fortunately, for me, the store managers were awesome and helped me to find a replacement and had it shipped to our home. The bad news..... it came chipped on one of the side panels. At this point we were too stressed over this to return it again. Now, the games: they are really good and there is variety. My entire family enjoys playing with this arcade and our “younger generations” think PAC Man is a hoot. I could only give it four stars due to the fact I had to return it once and came broken the second time.

Great product and very well made. I get pretty intense with Pac-Man so I was worried about the durability of the conroller. I have had it a few months and it seems to holding up very well. My husband put it together and said that it is very well made and that everything fit together perfectly except one screw hole was just a little off but he was able to make it work ok. I must say that the included stool was the real deciding factor in my purchase. I love the whole set-up.

Purchased the 40th Anniversary Pac-Man for family for Christmas. which the family thoroughly enjoyed for several hours. Quality, sound, experience exceeded my expectations. Then the joy stick broke (wouldn't go left, only went up/down/right). I registered the product with Arcade1Up (which wasn't entirely easy as the site does not accept jpeg files for receipts). I then filed a ticket for service and watched several videos that Arcade1Up provides to fix the machine myself. I am pretty mechanically inclined but, after watching the videos, it appears that I will need to take apart the console, open up the main board holding the joystick, remove the faulty joystick (along with wiring) and install the new joystick. I am capable but it certainly will require some time. I read many reviews about Arcade1Up and found that many many customers complain about faulty joysticks. While aftermarket upgrade joysticks are available for under $25 (e.g. Sanwa and other brands), they are not easily swappable. Doing some homework, it appears that Arcade1Up went with real cheap joysticks just to save $10 to $15 on cost. As the joystick appears to be the most used part of the machine, I do not understand why Arcade1Up would go cheap on this part. Therefore...beware! I also read from many on-line reviews that Arcade1Up customer service is very poor. I can say from 1st-hand experience that it was not easy filing my claim ticket with them as I had to submit a video of the issue, along with receipt, etc. I have read from a number of customers that getting replacement parts takes up to 6 weeks. I can only hope that ours comes sooner. Again, loved the machine for the first part of the first day but now have a machine that will not be able to be used for some time. I am disappointed in Best Buy for supporting Arcade1Up as I have given Best Buy much business in the past (Televisions, sports watches, computers, etc.)

Arcade1Up takes a lot of flak from their fans for always have another version of Pac-Man to release, and while the more recently-released Bandai Namco Pac-Man Legacy cabinet may have more games on it, this 40th Anniversary edition cabinet is still my favorite one. It's a comprehensive Pac-Man Museum, along with the all-time classic Galaga tacked on for good measure. My favorite feature is probably the retro woodgrain-style side panels, which remind me so strongly of many of the electronics of my youth. Just looking at this cabinet makes me feel like I've gone back to the glorious early '80s. The included stool looks great, and the light-up control panel is a feature that I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I do. The LED strip at the top can illuminate in a number of different colors, or it can be set to cycle through all of them, which adds a really fun neon arcade glow to the home game room. If I can complain about just one thing, it's the old-school graphics filter on these games that makes them look like they're being played on a 30-year-old CRT monitor. This cabinet should have included settings to switch the graphics filters on or off, as other Arcade1Up machines have done. Arcade1Up has promised an update that will add this, but as of the time of this writing, they haven't released it yet. Now that they've moved on to the Legacy version cabinet, I'm starting to doubt that they will. But I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Either way, however, this is a beautiful cabinet with a great game selection that is a must-own for any serious home arcade collection.

very easy to assemble, priced reasonable and lots of fun to play with 7 games loaded. brings back great memories.

Love this arcade game! The original Pac-Man and Galaga are my favorites. I’ve spent many hours on it already ( and the rest of the family too ). It not the full size arcade game, but it is close when attached to the bottom stand. It is nice that you can set it up without the bottom so smaller kids can play. Instructions were easy to follow and each piece was labeled clearly with a sticker. Highly recommend... only wish the original Ms Pac-Man was on it too!

This is really cool and solid, very well built, because I put it entirely together. Just be aware there is about an hour and a half of assembly required.

Easy to put together and the game play is just like the original!

I like playing Pac Man and decided to order this arcade machine for me and my grandsons . It only took a couple of hours to assemble and the directions was not hard to understand . It was nice it came with a stool also . My grandsons and I started playing and it was great . Ordering this machine through Best Buy was easy and it arrived on time .

It was easy to put together. Its well built and plays great! Can’t wait to buy more machines!

The Arcade1Up PAC-Man special edition arcade machine was an excellent choice for my grandchildren’s playroom. They absolutely love it! It was such a hit I plan on adding a second arcade. The graphics, sound and lights are amazing! Very sturdy and my daughter and I put it together without any difficulties. It’s great entertainment for the whole family. We all play it from ages 2 years to 69 years!

Love it! Great family competition. The stool makes a real difference.

My family is loving the 40th Anniversary Pac-Man Arcade. Everyone choses Pac-Man over the two other units purchase which was NBA and Legend Ultimate. I would love to purchase Mrs. Pac-Man as well. During COVID, my family love to retreat to the basement for the fun activities. It is truly a big hit and I would highly recommend others to purchase the unit.

This is a great machine, looking like the old Cabaret cabinet's that used to exist. The stool is sturdy and sits at a comfortable height for game play. Reminds me of playing this game originally in the 80's (without the need for quarters). It's fun and a great looking addition to my game room.

this is the best we love our arcade an it was a great buy as well the kids love it an so does the adults we had a furniture delivery an the guy asked if he could play an he played a lil longer than he should have lol but its a hit in our home can't go wrong with this arcade very well made as well

More than what I expected. Assembly was easy, as long as you follow the instructions. Great to be able to play the old games again, like I use to. Does not take up much space, and it came with all parts and instructions.

Amazing fun! A blast from the past. Great enjoyment for the whole family. Assembly was time consuming but it was very easy to follow the instruction guide. We did not have any problems with holes not aligning or wood cracking. The light up dock was a great addition!
