Great lineup of games and love the cabinet design. Wish this had the molded coin door that's on more recent models. This would have been better served as a vertical screen cabinet as the majority of the games on this were vertical. The trackball is good but the spinner, while serviceable, feels a little cheap and is not that fluid in movement. This uses the better monitor unlike the new Centipede version that has a few extra games.

great old school games from childhood, trackball isnt the best but its an easy upgrade

The game itself is excellent - 5 stars! But worked for about a month beyond their 90 day warranty period and now controls do not work except power and trackball. Apparently a VERY COMMON problem, read about it on reddit - defective chip. Waiting for Arcade1Up to support but not looking good... others have had horrible experiences including no reply, but that was a year ago. We'll see if they have upped their game :)

Love revisiting favorite Tempest arcade game again and others. Bumpy ride with shipping but Best Buy remedied issue. Love this thing other than the spinner is obviously plastic rather than metal like original, does feel cheap. Took extra warranty out.

Not Best Buy’s fault, but Arcade 1up shipped a defective unit and doesn’t have part to fix it. They ask you not to return the unit but to contact them if there are issues, so I did that. Both the power cord and control deck were defective but when I originally sent them a request for help they sent a cord and chip replacement, not a control deck. Turns out the control deck isn’t something they have currently, so they just expect me to wait until they get one, if they ever do. It’s been over a month with an arcade cabinet sitting in my basement that is paid for but doesn’t work. So far no offer for a discount on future purchase or anything that would make up for the issue. Meanwhile they are selling the cabinet across the country with control decks. Compete failure in customer service and this review is as much to make Best Buy aware as the consumer.

The title game "Tempest" requires a vertical screen arrangement, however this machine features a horizontal screen which forces tempest to play in a compressed form, not utilizing the entire screen real estate provided in the hardware. This is very disappointing. Also, I've purchased several of these Arcade1up 3/4 size machines. This one was delivered with many flaws out of the box. The artwork was damaged on both the control panel and the sides and the track ball is somewhat gritty and lacking in precision. If I wasn't outside the return period, I'd take this right back to the store.

My favorite game cabinet. Has Asteroids, Missle Command, Centipede and Tempest. I grew up playing these games and this cabinet brings back memories. Controls work great and reliable cabinet. Well worth the price.
