It came in easy enough to set up. The only complaint I have is the graphics are not that great. For the price of the game I think the graphics should be better and clearer

As Promised. Good Value. Easy to assemble. Rollerball doesn't move too well on rare occasion which is reason for the 4 rating. Happy with purchase. Would recommend.

They broke the machine with an update but fixed it. Sure its washed out from the sides but looks fine when you play. This is not a sit down and play game anyway

Very fun. This is actually like a legit arcade. Much bigger and thicker than the regular arcades.
Mine did arrive with 3 dead pixels on the screen. I contacted arcade 1up and they are sending a replacement

I love this cab and if you want it get it its fun but for the price the monitor is really really awful. Playable? Depends on your height. I still really enjoy this but your not getting what your pay for in quality ie monitor. Rest is great, leaderboards are fun game varietys awesome feels and looks the best of the arcade1ups just that monitor :(

I have had 20 or more A1Ups, so I know how to review these cabs. Overall a great cab, the size of the cab itself, and the 19" screen is the right size for standing right in front of it. Marquee looks good, trackball works good, and the sound is great for just too smaller speakers. Reports of the monitor being bad are not accurate. If you are standing at the machine playing the game the monitor is fine, although yes, if you stand to the far left or far right side or too far back from the cab the screen gets dark. Not a big deal in my opinion as you stand in front of the machine close to play the games. At this time of writing my review, it has been brought to my attention that the most recent firmware update does have some software issues. I'm sure this will be corrected soon. I updated my machine and it's fine though. I would definitely recommend this cab!

Where do I begin... When Arcade1Up dropped the announcement of this cabinet's release, it organically reached hype status all on its own. Those following A1U closely know that they have hinted at the imminent release of their "Pro" line of cabinets and this cabinet looked the part. However, it was clearly apparent they aimed to differentiate this one by dubbing it an "XL" cabinet. Speculation is that this is meant as a stop-gap, conforming to the Pro line form-factor and build process, but lacking some of the Pro's features, such as high-end controls, speakers, and display panels.
Well, if that was their goal they achieved it gloriously... This is, without a doubt, a near true-to-scale cabinet hosh-posh of quality with decent speakers, a somewhat mediocre trackball, and quite possibly the worst LCD panel an Arcade1Up cabinet has ever been graced with. This 19" TN display has such bad viewing angles that it rivals a passive matrix display from the early 90s. Anything viewing right-of-center or slightly below the center line (as would be the vantage point of a child) renders an almost unviewable inverted-colors mess of an image that immediately takes away from its enjoyment.
If curious to see how bad this is, do a search on YT for "Arcade1Up Golden Tee 3D XL Firmware Trackball Bug & Monitor Rant" and skip over to the 13:06 mark where I go over just how atrocious this monitor really is. That title should also hint you at the next and possibly just as important outstanding issue with this cabinet...the very first firmware update pushed by A1U breaks the trackball driver in-game, causing your golfer's swing or your bowling ball throw to seemingly freeze, before resuming all on its own seconds later. Those of us who had the opportunity to play the games for a few days prior to this update managed to squeeze in 2 or 3 days of confirmation that this behavior is purely firmware related. To their credit, after being made aware of this issue, Arcade1Up pulled the OTA (over the air) update immediately and have been working to resolve, but that means many spent their first weekend with an unplayable 700 dollar cabinet.
The cabinet itself is quite attractive and the assembly procedure, as well as the extra bracing involved, makes for a very sturdy product. Compared to the 3/4 scale cabinets, including the original A1U release of Golden Tee, it feels much closer to a real cabinet, albeit still making use of thinner panels and weighing about 1/3 of a traditional cabinet's weight. If aesthetics is what you seek, aesthetics you'll get... Up until you fire it up and witness the hot mess that is the 19" display put in these.
All of that aside, there's something to be said about Arcade1Up's support and overall stance as a company. In my experiences, their Customer Service has been among the best in the gaming and even electronics business. They respond promptly and, at least in the past, have sent out replacement parts without hesitation. Being an "in between" product between the regular 3/4 scale and their upcoming Pro line, it is to be expected that it will suffer some transitional pains, but I was really hoping those pain points wouldn't take away from the immersion and enjoyment that these are meant to bring. The less than perfect trackball I can live with... But that display truly has no place in a 700 dollar game. Arcade1Up, if you are listening... Please give us a better screen for these.
This cabinet had so much potential to build up on the hype for the upcoming Pro cabs but instead serves as caution tape to those on the fence about spending this much money on something that will occupy a prominent space in their homes.
