The screen was nice and having buttons was good instead of entirely touch screen. SD slot helps. But the Battery didn't hold a charge long and took a long time to recharge. Menus were complicated. Sound quality was mediocre. I couldn't get it to play my mpeg videos. Seemed like it tried to do many things but none of them well. I returned it for a refund.

ive done my best to work with archos to remedy problem. ARCHOS HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER DEALT WITH. this is my 3rd 605 1st my 160 GB battery died within 1 year ! then i bought the 4 gb and see the same problem. I also returned tablet with same problem. When u place any ARCHOS unit on charger or docking station it turns on automatically and begins consuming from the battery while trying to charge it. (NO WAY TO CHANGE THIS ) Any electrical engineer will tell you this will ruin any battery very quickly. with all the experts at big company like archos they would've had to be aware of this problem and choose to ignore it or designed it to be this way as to get more sales from overpriced battery replacements only available through archos. with no easily replaceable battery and poor customer service reps this product becomes worthless in less than 1 year. not everyone is as foolish as archos thinks maybe ?

This is my second Archos. Its so easy to use the only thing is it has an SD card and only 4gb. I would spend a little more for the 16gb.

the ARcos 605 came on time..It had a cracked button?? (warranty I hope) THe back and screen have markings.BAD!!! THe service and the unit are fine..
