Good picture quality and long battery life. I wish, however, that I had bought cameras using an sd memory card.

Subscription Need for Video Feed After 60 Day

I've owned two Arlo Pro 2 cameras with a hub for over three years, and during that time, I could view a 7-day feed without needing a subscription plan. Recently, I purchased new cameras due to connectivity issues with the old cameras, but after the 60-day trial, I can no longer access the feed without a subscription. The camera performs great. I'm okay with not having cloud storage for days or weeks of past footage, I want to access the daily feed to monitor my elderly loved one without paying a monthly fee. I would have considered a different camera or brand if I had known this before purchasing. Now, I must pay at least $19.99 to view the feed for two cameras.

I will give them a three because I bought the Arlo 2 and it still works great, recording to the cloud without a subscription. But I returned this one because the question and answers said it recorded the cloud without a subscription. This is not true fine. In fact, they’re all taking advantage of people now where they offered free cloud storage for seven days for free and now everybody has to pay to use their product. Free screenshots are useless.

The only negative thing i have to say is, in my situation, i needed different wall mounts. The ones that come in the box with the cameras are only good of you were setting up the cameras straight onto something. I bought the mounts that were adjustable. Just what i needed.

I love these cameras. When i first got them they would not work with my Samsung phone. It would make a terrible screeching noise when i tried to talk to anyone through them. I went through their tech support and they went above and beyond to create a firmware update to fix the issue. Have been phenomenal since. Battery lasts about a month and a half but i have a ton of traffic that goes by my house. Takes a while to fully charge. All in all great product!

Great cameras …. They do the job well…. Only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5, is because I wish they were compatible with Apples homekit app when using the Arlo bridge. Hopefully Arlo has a software update coming soon to fix this. If so I would change to 5 stars.

Poor support and subscription based features

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The cameras are far from great. They have plenty of glitches. They claim to have "activity zones" to detect motion and that function rarely works as claimed. The most irritating thing happened recently and is going to make me abandon them and seek something different. They provided a free trial offer (which you couldn't opt out of) of their subscription based features. Once the free trial ended, I can no longer access features that were previously available before the free trial. The item I speaking specifically about is being able to view records in the "feed" of the app. I now have to dig further down into the app to view a recording. I tried to contact support to understand how this functionality could be removed and because my camera's are out of warranty, I couldn't even chat with a support person. Good bye ARLO! I don't like the way to eliminate features once your cameras are beyond warranty and try to force you to join a subscription based plan.
