Works great with my Arlo security cameras

I added this wireless lights to my Arlo security cameras and they work great , no wire and battery last long as long as you have the right settings on the app. This package comes with an extra battery and a bridge, that’s great for the price. The 400 lumens makes my back yard bright enough at night. The motion detection is adjustable up to 23 feet, the range from the router to the bridge is over 90 feet but make sure you install it at least closer to both lights to avoid any disconnection from your WiFi; the range from the bridge to the light is also over 90 feet. One of my favorite features is when the light detects motion, your Arlo cameras can start recording and you’ll get a notification to your phone, also works great with Alexa . Great addition to my security system.

I love these Arlo Lights! I programmed some to automatically turn on when a camera is activated and vice versa. The batteries have yet to need to recharged and it’s been several weeks. Oh, and the ability to change the colors with the Arlo app makes my kids happy @ night.

nice addition to the Netgear ecosystem

i was very excited to hear about this security light coming out by Netgear. i have been waiting since 2017 when they announced the upcoming release. i have recently moved into a new house that lacked lighting in the backyard and have been looking for something wireless and Netgear answered my calling. i frequent my backyard multiple times a day to take my dog out to do her business. this helps illuminate the grass area so her and i could both see, especially when i pick up her doo doo. the set up was very simple and user friendly. just follow the step by step in app to add devices. i played around with it before installation. the motion sensor will only trigger in dark settings when indoors or at nighttime but you are able to manually turn it on thru the Arlo app or via Amazon Alexa voice. i have also connected the security light to turn on when my Arlo pro camera is triggered in the backyard. nice to have the light on before i get to the very back of my house. i placed the 2nd security light indoors in my living room and i use it as a cool disco light where it flashes and rotates multiple colors in which you could select thru the Arlo app.. it's great when used in conjunction with the rest of my Philips Hue's and Nanoleaf lights to create a nice ambience. i call it my "party lights." :) installation was just 3 screws into my walls, felt sturdy enough to not use the anchors. no connection issues so far. works like a charm. must have for any smart home addict. best of all, i'm so lucky to have been selected for the opportunity to review this new item for free!

    Lights up my back yard

I have 9 Arlo cameras. I use these 2 lights to supplement dark areas of my backyard. Some features I like are motion detection notifications, color changing and overall ease of use. I wish it utilized the magnetic mount that the cameras use. This was a drawback for me. It does come with 2 premium mounts, but I prefer the magnetic one. Included are 3 batteries, so you’ll have a spare for the light or Arlo camera.

I have an Arlo ecosystem, so adding these when they were on sale was a no-brainer. For the price of $99 for a pack of two, with 3 batteries, (I could only normally buy two replacement batteries for that price) made this an easy choice. The lights are a bit larger than the Arlo cameras themselves, but mount cohesively next to them. They have an array of white LED lights, with varying intensity settings and then 4 colored LEDs in the center. I've set then up to cover the back yard and also the side of my house, motion triggered and linked to my camera, so if they go off, the camera will trigger and record anything that's going on. They run off of their own hub, which is the only let down I can see with these, as I already have an Arlo hub connected to my router, so now I have to have a light hub plugged into an outlet (doesn't need to be connected to your router). That is a downside, but... the upside to the separate hub is that the connection between the lights and the hub is incredibly robust! Really happy with that, so it's at least a decent trade-off! They are brighter than I was expecting to see, after reading some reviews, so that was a nice surprise. I have them on a 30 second timer from the moment of sensing to the moment of turning off again and that is more than adequate for my needs. I get notifications on my phone when they sense motion, which is reassuring and they are working flawlessly in that respect. I've had them installed for about a month so far, and the battery life is still at 92%, which is fantastic. I don't have the light shining all the time, but I do get about 10-12 notifications during the day from birds and cats moving around the property. So very pleased with the battery life so far. You can manually control the lights as well, turn them on, change the beam (spotlight or floodlight) and also change the color of the lights too, however the colors are not as intense as the white light that they put out in floodlight or spotlight mode. So far, very impressed with the lights, better than I expected, and at $99, such a good deal, I couldn't pass them up.

Very bright light. Battery life if excellent. It does loose connection to the base station all the time but thats ok with me. I was getting tired of all the notifications being sent to my cell phone. The app to control the light and color options is very glitchy and most of the time does not work..But again....no big deal. It lights up my front and side areas of the house when we come home at night. The motion sensor is super sensitive. Arlo customer service has improved dramatically over the past few years. For that, I give them a 5 star on trying to be better.

We already had Arlo cameras so when these came out, I wanted to try them out and see how they interacted with the cameras, as well as brightness/coverage. They are not too different in size from the Arlo cameras and in fact use the same batteries. Putting them up was about the same as putting up the cameras, which were pretty simple. I plugged the light hub about equal distance between where I mounted the two lights (oh yeah, I got two). I fired up the Arlo app and added the lights which were detected pretty quickly. Once the app finds them, that's when all the customizing can begin. You can set the lights to spotlight (narrow light beam) or flood (wide area of light). You can also enable motion detection, whether you want notifications that it went off, if one sets the other (or your cameras) off, and determine the color! Yes, you can set these to a rainbow of different colors and light levels as well! You can also manually turn them on and off and use a timer in the app to determine the length of time you want them to stay on. Once it got dark I turned them on manually to see if they were bright enough (concerned due to their small size) and was surprised with just how bright they actually got! They were brighter than my 100 watt floodlights in the back yard! Once I finished that, I set up the motion detection and was good to go. They also can be turned on and off with Alexa or the Google Assistant if you have them. The batteries have a good duration in that mode. It is a pain to remove the batteries to charge but luckily that doesn't happen often. If you need good, bright, integrated, app controlled security lights, these are excellent!

I purchased these for my backyard so the lights would deter rodents, especially skunks. The lights are not terribly bright. I have had to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensors to pick up the smaller creatures. I have had these for a few months and have not had to recharge the batteries just yet. This is pretty impressive due to by the amount of times the sensors have gone off. Setting up was relatively easy and the app helps with adjusting the sensitivity, times for alarms, and alerts to my phone. Overall, this is a pretty good product for the price. The light could be brighter but overall I am impressed with the product.

I actually bought these. They weren't free in exchange for a 5 star review. The setup is super-easy. The install is the hardest part and a lot harder than the single screw magnetic dome for the Arlo cams. Once you get that done and your light mounted and aimed youre gonna want to go into the "mode" on the Arlo app and set the trigger rule to 100% brightness otherwise youre barely going to pierce the dark. Now that the lights are using their 400 lumens theyre useful. Battery life is impressive so far. still have 100% a week later. Bought one more today and will be getting at least one more. Hope the single bridge can handle them all

These lights are a good addition to the Arlo cameras. I did not get regular instructions with this set but a quickstart guide was included. I found instructions online that gave more information. Setup is good but give yourself time to mess with it. The lights have multiple options and can be coordinated with Arlo cameras to turn on when something is detected. The light is bright and lights up a large area. Light colors can also be changed. Wasserstein gutter mounts work with these but the lights are taller than Arlo cameras and may be a bit top heavy. I highly recommend these lights.

The motion sensor lights have worked well for our backyard. We have the Arlo Pro 2 cameras and it helps improve the video quality at night. We also just use it as a regular light for taking the dog out and has been excellent for that. The one thing I haven't been able to figure out yet is how to sync with the cameras so that it turns on the camera when the light sensor is activated. Also, the light isn't super bright so if you're looking for more of a flood light this might not be the right product. It does provide enough light for the uses I described though. And the battery life has been excellent so far. They have been installed for several weeks and still up near 100%.

We have been pleased with the addition of the security light to our camera system. We have had an increase in people coming on the property looking for opportunities to break in and/or steal and this light has helped deter those looking for an easy opportunity by lighting up our yard and triggering our camera so that we see the activity going on outside. We have had this light for one week now and so far the battery is lasting well, which had been a concern for us. It still has an 80% charge level after a week. The only negative right now that we see was with the initial set up of the light. There are several nuances that are not explained in the instructions and it took some time to figure them out.

I have had Arlo Pros for about 2 years now and I needed more cameras since I moved to a bigger house in a dark neighborhood. The installation was super simple and easy as per usual Arlo product fashion. The batteries last significantly longer than the camera batteries. In the 2 months, I've owned them I have only charged them once. They are very bright and very sensitive so even a cat walking by on the sidewalk will light them up. Loses a star because the option to change the color of the light is a waste in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I think the option to change the color of the light is super awsome, but the fact that a candle can light up my driveway better than the color option does is just sad. Had the colorful option been brighter I would definitely be lighting up my driveway in a plethora of colors.

We have a four camera arlo setup that I have been very happy with. These recently went on sale and I thought it might be nice to get some additional lighting coverage and I liked that it came with an extra battery that could be used interchangeably with the rest of the Arlo Pro 2 products. What was a pleasant surprise was that these are more than just lights, I didn't realize that they actually also throw motion alerts. So with a few of these we can fill in some of the small "blind spots" and get not just some lighting in the yard but also alerts/tracking if we do get an unwanted "guest". As as just a flood light, yes it's kind of spendy, but as an expansion to your Arlo system and cloud alerts? You get a lot more functionality than a simple flood light.

These lights are have good brightness and angle of coverage. I’m also glad that the USB charging port is at the bottom and not near the mounting screw like the cameras. Another plus is it comes with 2 wall mounts. I initially had a problem linking it due to distance, but can be remedied by coming closer to the transceiver hub. The only negative thing is setting the motion sensor sensitivity is difficult to estimate. You have to do some trial and error by actually walking in front of it. The software should have something like range, region, or angle covered. Was also on the expensive side. Good thing I got mine on sale.

These are only lights. Not cameras. You can turn them on anytime you want. Or set for motion. But they are very sensative. I've had to completely turn them off during the daytime. I have 2 in my yard. They light up a good portion of my yard enough to see yes they are racoons. Grr. Lol

This is a nifty smart light that I added to my Arlo setup. Getting it in range of the included hub was a bit of a challenge. But once I got it connected, the light has been pretty cool. I have it mounted in my driveway so that it lights up our walkway at night when there is motion. No more fumbling with our iPhone flashlight! The light can also be set up to trigger an existing Arlo camera to start recording video...nice! Be aware that the light is not super bright like a true floodlight. It is however bright enough to light up objects about 20-30 feet in front of it.

Integrates with the arlo pro and ultra systems. Can trigger the cameras to turn on and adjust how long they stay on and cameras can trigger the light to come on. Can be manually turned on or set to come on via the app for 5 mins to infinite or however you’d like. Not the brightest light for flood lights. But lights up the area I need. Sensitivity seems to be on par with other arlo products and Adjustable in app as well just as the other products. Battery life has been ok. Useful for me as I didn’t want to have to hire an electrician or run wires to where I wanted to put some lights. Plus it integrates with the arlo cameras and can help trigger them, I have mine spaced about 10 feet apart so you might trigger one but not the other, they both turn each other on. The changing of colors and brightness hasn’t been so useful for me because I just use them to be a security light, not ambient lighting. Overall been happy with them.
