A lot of the reviews I read were either skeptical or a little harsh but I decided to give them a try and I ended up really loving them. They always connect easily to my phone and I can not only see but listen, talk through, zoom in. And the battery life is great. App works great. Would highly recommend, I bough the 2 pack to start, am definitely going back for more to secure my whole home.

I went with the Arlo system because of the ease of installation and the wireless capabilities. The battery life is good, as long as you aren't camped out in front of the unit all day. You can also override the recording if you know you'll have a lot of activity triggering the camera. This system helped me catch a Ding Dong Ditcher ringing the doorbell at 11:30pm. GREAT and EASY SYSTEM!

No wires, just mount and aim! Monitoring with motion notifications and live streaming on my phone app or desktop give piece of mind. I like the audio/video features of the pro for front entrance monitoring I can greet visitors or know the arrival of packages. I also added the hd cameras to the pro system which are adequate for other areas around my home, because I felt no need to have audio. This is a flexible system, and it's trial and error on how sensitive to have the cameras detect motion and where. The notifications can get annoying, but it's a trade off to know that the cameras are working. In over month's use, my most active camera is over 85% in battery life, so the routine of having to get on a ladder replace/recharge batteries and reposition yet to be determined. Well, if it's better than trying to find that chirping smoke detector to change out the battery, then it should be all good!

These cameras are awesome, have more features than any other camera I’ve owned. They are a bit expensive but worth the money. The fact that they are wireless makes it worth it. The video quality is great and they hold a great charge maybe not 3-4 months if you use them regularly which I do. I usually have to charge them once a month and my cameras that record a lot of movement.

easy setup, good quality video. I have Deer eating my bushes almost every morning. The motion detecting recording and what you get free in cloud is enough for anyone to watch over things. I don't have to scan through hours of continuous recording - I get just the action I need to look at.

This product exceeding my expectations with a simple and easy set-up, high video quality, video storage included and rechargeable wireless connectivity. The only negative on the product would be the battery life. I read reviews that said 1-3 months, 3-6 months, etc. If you really use an monitor the system, get alerts, etc. you can expect about 3-4 weeks on a full charge.

Very happy with my Arlo system. Easy setup and no wiring for the cameras so camera placement is not an issue. So far my batteries are lasting longer than I expected. I have 2 cameras set up outside and 2 indoors. I hope the outdoor ones hold up to the weather and cold. Time will tell

The Arlo Pro cameras were easy to set up. They work great and can be adjusted so that the motion detection sensitivity does not send too many alerts. I have not had any issues with connectivity to my WiFi network and the battery life seems very strong.

I was aware of the Arlo products, but this made me a believer. It was really simple to set up and pair the cameras to the base station. The camera app makes it simple to change the name of each camera so you know where they are located. If you're looking for a camera system-this is the one to get. Battery life was also not an issue-about 4-5 months per camera.

I have a wired and wireless security NVR system and wanted to add more cameras but I didn't want to have to install additional wired cameras and I didn't want to run wires in some areas of the house (I also couldn't install additional "wireless cameras" as those still require an outlet to power the camera), so I decided to try this security camera system. This system also acts as a back-up as it records to the cloud. Installation was was pain free - no wires were needed to power up the cameras so you literally just need to place the mounts where you want the cameras located. The camera has a wide angle view (130 degree angle) so it captures more than other security cameras. Recording quality is good. You can also use the camera to see and hear what is going on in your house, and you can use the mic to talk to the other person at the other end of the camera. The system is not perfect. There are about two downsides I consider. The first downside is that it uses batteries so you will eventually have to recharge the batteries. When you leave your camera armed to record motion all the time, the batteries only last a few weeks, maybe 4 to 6 weeks. The second downside of using this system is that it doesn't have the option to record motion until the motion is actually done. You will have to set it to record a fixed amount of time. Of course you can set it to record more than 10 seconds but this will drain the batteries much faster than limiting it to 10 seconds. If you can live with a fixed time for recording videos and are OK with recharging batteries then this system is not bad at all. Overall, it is actually a good system. It allows you to easily add cameras to locations where it would be hard to add wired cameras (i.e. outside on a tree or fence facing the entryway or backyard to keep the camera concealed, detached garage). It captures a wide area so you don't need as many cameras. It records to the cloud so you will always have copies of the video in case some intruder decides to swipe your NVR. And it has good quality video recordings (w/ clear audio).

I have been impressed with the cameras so far(1 month) setup was simple. Camera picture is good as long as image is close. Being able to schedule zones is a nice feature. Would like to to motion picked up at a greater distance from camera. Overall nice system for the money.

I just wanted a camera to set up near my front door since I receive a lot of packages. This camera so far has performed great and I am only receiving notifications when people are actually on my front step. The battery life has been great so far too and I still haven't had to charge it.

Easy installation. Cameras are sensitive, will pick up bees, cats, deer and does it's job a little too well. We are still working on the best way to adjust cameras. The battery life seems to be good so far; see soon how our extremely cold weather will affect the batteries.

Very happy with almost everything on this system. Viewing angles are great, sound is good and motion detector is top notch. Not a cheap system to be sure, but for the ease of install and being fully wireless it is too good to pass. Very few issues with connection, and the app is well thought out. My only gripe is battery life. I do run at high quality video so it should suffer some, but I am on par to get about 1.5-2 months life out of a charge. This is WAY below the stated 4 months. Not a massive deal as the charging is silly easy so as I said it is a small gripe. All in all very happy with the purchase.

System works exactly as advertised. Easy to set up and operate. Best feature is that cameras are totally wireless. Batteries seem to have plenty of life before needing charging.

PROS: 100% wireless, ease of installation and setup, battery life, camera field of view, camera footage automatically stored in the cloud, feature rich system including the ability to hear and speak back through the cameras, intuitive web interface. CONS: Slight lag in camera "waking up" when motion is detected. Would liked to have seen built-in battery back-up for the base station; my cable modem/wireless router has it. SUMMARY: We use the ARLO system to augment our hard-wired alarm system, mounting two cameras inside and two outside. A big plus was that there are no power or network lines to run. After nearly 2 months of use, the rechargeable battery life is ~80%; very good! We have not had any network issues with the cameras communicating back to the base; So far, I really like this product!

Cameras work great overall and work for our needs. The positioning of the cameras to catch motion was challenging at first, but once we learned how to do it, they worked great. Do not get the covers!! They mess the night vision up and make anything caught in the video unusable. The resolution on the cameras is adequate but the sound captured is amazing. If you need high quality video, you should go with a hard wired camera. I love the ability to download any video captured to my computer. There is a slight delay on what is captured to what is actually happening live, but overall we are happy with the system.

and the differences are great! The audio is good, the rechargeable batteries are a big plus, and the video is sharp with excellent color. Arlo is a great system, I love checking on my house when I'm away and I love the audio feature. I haven't sounded the alarm yet, I'm saving that for New Years Eve (no!). I love Arlo and the security it provides!

Very easy to setup. Resolution is excellent. Battery life of the Arlo pro is exceptional. Just make sure you don't let batteries drop below 15 percent so you don't miss any firmware updates. The USB external storage slot is a nice feature for extended video storage.

The Arlo Pro is a good intermediate video camera system. If you want to spend just a little more money I would recommend the Arlo Pro 2. Arlo Pro 2 has the highest resolution out of the three systems. The good thing about these systems is you can add on and buy more cameras at any time. I really like the fact that you can hear what's going on in your home, you can record longer if you would like, and you could also talk to somebody else on the other side of the camera. The Arlo Pro and the Arlo Pro 2 both have a siren function where you can push a button for suspected intruder. The regular Arlo does not come with a lot of these functions. The system is good if you have a pet dog or cat because you can watch them and talk to them while they're home alone and you could hear them talk back to you. All three systems are flexible where you can put the camera anywhere inside or out as long as your wifi will reach. When there is motion you'll get an email alert on your phone or you can view your system in real time anywhere in the world. You can save any of the videos or take a picture from the saved or real-time video. You can save up to 7 days for free on the cloud or pay an annual fee for longer days of recording.
