Customers often highlight the Smart Chime Speaker's ease of use, excellent sound quality, and compatibility with other smart home devices. Many appreciate its adjustable volume and straightforward installation process, finding it a valuable addition to their security systems. However, some customers mention the price point as a potential drawback, and a few experienced connectivity or response time issues. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and sound quality outweighs the negative comments.

Great product. Works at long distances and is plug in not battery. It’s nice to pic where you put your chime and pick the melody.

Necessity for Arlo Audio Doorbell

If you are invested in the Arlo ecosystem, I highly recommend their doorbells. I prefer the video doorbell because the audio doorbell requires an additional camera looking at your front door (rather than being one package). But, my house isn't wired for a doorbell. So I went with the Arlo audio doorbell because it has the option to be battery powered. Either way you go, I recommend the Smart Chime speakers. They're too expensive in my opinion, but I like putting them on the different floors of my house so I can hear the doorbell ring. If you don't have your phone nearby, if someone rings the Arlo audio doorbell you won't hear it without these. They aren't too loud, but in my opinion are loud enough to hear. I just wish they were a bit cheaper...

Purchased this to add to our current Arlo Pro system of 9 cameras.
We also purchased the Arlo doorbell, although you don't have too. Using the motion sensor from the camera, we have the chime ring when there is motion so we know when packages get delivered but delivery services don't ring the doorbell. The loud chime also dissuades a would-be-thief because the chime is audible from the outside and as soon as someone gets near, the chime rings.
Pros:
- Easy to install and works perfectly so far (60 days now)
- Love the integration with the camera; now we know anytime someone is near the door without have to check the Arlo notification from a phone
Cons:
- Expensive for a device that just makes a chime
- None of the chime sounds are particularly great; some are terrible and at the loudest volume are not audible throughout the house
At a lower price and better chimes, this would be five stars.

This is basically a $50 door bell, someone rings the Arlo Doorbell and this will make a sound. You can choose from about 20 different sounds, but I found the traditional 1 sound to be the loudest and easiest to recognize as a door bell. Set up was a bit of a struggle....actually anything Arlo has been the same thing. First time around I go through the set up and it doesn't work, so I end up having to reset the device and try the set up again and it works. This has happened with the Arlo Pro 2 cameras, Arlo 4k ultra camera, arlo door bell and now the chime. At this point I am use to it and it's not a big deal, but a first time user might be frustrated by the experience. I hope Arlo can fix this issue at some point. Other than that, the price is high for what it does, but it's nice to have in case my phone is in a different room and I know someone is at the door.

Very easy to set up. Great for apartments. No drilling required. Loud enough to hear throughout apartment home. My only dislike is a delay when pressing doorbell. It isnt an instant ring.

Quick setup with no issues. Plenty loud enough, as loud if not louder than our hardwired chime was and I could get another Arlo chime if it were an issue. Like that it triggers a designated Arlo camera for video.

Chime speaker works as expected, small easy to setup and portable. Door bell chime is also pretty loud. Alarm feature did not shut off with app had to unplug when triggered. Just FYI not needed if you can wire to existing door bell but I got b/c of no hard wiring needed with doorbell installation, also has feature to simulate dog barking. Overall good product

I just bought this about a month ago and have been happy with it. It was a little hard to get connected for me which was not a problem with my other Arlo devices. It is plenty loud enough to be heard throughout the house.

I found out that my doorbell cam came with a chime so this purchase was used for places my doorbell chime doesn't get heard at which is upstairs so we don't miss any packages needing signature or visitors stopping by, just by being upstairs. I have enjoyed this item and it also has the ability to change the sound of the chime in the app. Very easy to install.

Works as advertised. Reasonably easy to setup. I feel it is a bit pricey. Have a different ring set on motion depending on camera sensing the motion. I do not recommend setting it up as a SmartThings device.

I got 2 chimes to link them to my Arlo doorbell.. connecting them through the app was very easy, as it was with the doorbell and cameras, I put one in the 1st floor and the other one in the second floor... sound is clear and loud enough to hear from the 3rd floor, I like the design and product finish... definitely a good purchase as all other Arlo products I've bought...

I have many of the arlo products. Purchasiing the doorbell was one of the last. I had a difficult time integrating it into my my arlo system. I called the arlo support and they were able to help me through the setup. The doorbell is loud and can be heard easily. I have not been able to play back voice messages recorded on the doorbell but can see the recording through my camera as to whom was at my door. I guess another call back to arlo support to get that resolved.

Installing the chime is a breeze like many Arlo products and it blends in with any home decor. Has various features besides basic doorbell. Various chimes and tones, as well as ambient sounds. (dog barking, occupant noises).

Works with the Arlo security system doorbell. Nice and loud to hear the doorbell ring. So even if you don’t have a regular doorbell installed you can use this to have one. I like the whole Arlo system.

The Arlo Chime is a great addition to my Arlo Doorbell. It paired easily with the base station and rings about 2 seconds after you press the doorbell - about the same amount of time as some digital doorbells.
