Cameras show a really clear picture. They were easy to mount. Only downside is battery life. I find myself charging them every 3 weeks or so. Much sooner than I anticipated. The Arlo app is easier to navigate and has more security features than Ring. The night vision camera is both color and black & white. You can zoom in live or in past clipped videos. Long wifi range.

Incredibly good cameras but app is laggy in term of software and hardware issues within Arlo products, server, etc.. and not because of my iPhone 15 Pro Max’s hardware are weak It will be great if my system does not rely on Arlo at all but my base station and cameras are one system disconnected from arlo but connected to my wifi so it is perfectly independent of Arlo. I got 4 cameras for an incredibly good deal!!! I gave four stars so they are forced to keep on improving so struggling customers can have good experiences and enjoy good products!!! Over all I would give their products 5 stars but because the app is laggy in term of devices communicating with each other wirelessly etc.. they are always a few seconds behind. I have ATT Fiber so weak internet connection isn’t the problem. Their products have everything that I was looking for!!! Very easy to set up and install!!!! I love the charger a lot!!! I love how I can take out the batteries and charge them or charge them through wires!!! Also, Arlo needs to make it easy for customers to use third party products with Arlo systems like solar panels etc… I love the anti-theft lock and unlock feature to take out the batteries etc… Very thoughtful products but they can still be improved a lot and in so many areas!

Where to begin. I had high expectations for this. A security camera that you might be able to see detail from. I currently also use Ring and Blink. Arlo has been the worst experience compared to the other 2,( Ring also has been pretty annoying.. but that is not for this review...) using the app and maintaining the connection. It has been a drag to open the app, just to see, once again, my devices are not connected. As I reconnect them, and randomly it seems, it doesn't even recognize me and makes me log in again. Video quality, nice if you like a daily does of Green Screen - it seems at least once a day I'll get a video of Green, no idea why. They tell you to keep the top 1/6th portion of the recording area not part of the trigger area, so imagine you might want to not get a trigger on something to the left or right - nope, can't have that. Zoom in to the action they say, touchy touchy -cannot do that reliably. Video recognition - according to Arlo a mouse detected is actually a person. The sensitivity adjustment of the camera might as well be removed it's either everything or not much. A car going past the camera on the driveway, actually coming towards the camera, is perfect to catch the taillights of the car passing by the time the camera activates, this with sensitivity at 100. However, now every single time the wind blows a branch or leaves the camera goes on seconds after the event, so pick and choose, no battery life and all motion detected although 2 seconds late, no motion detected, boy, that battery life is great. Ugh. Scrub through the time or reverse sometimes works, or it will just switch to the next video in your list as you try to scroll. Power goes out? You're done, no more recording. I had a massive tree fall feet in front of Arlo and take out my power line in the process, I might have figured it would've recorded the falling part at least, before the power was cut. Nope. The other day, I got a video of nothing that I could see moving that lasted for 5 minutes long. It happened twice. As the set up goes, the 'anti theft mount' that you can just unscrew from the tension base, it's true, you wouldn't likely steal the mount, just the camera. The battery life, short, and don't you dare put the camera where you would only be able to access it with a ladder, you're going to be pulling out that ladder every 10 days or so. I bought the solar charger, Im not convinced Im going to even bother setting it up. Signal strength indicator goes from Strong, poor, ok, weak, strong, no signal in an area that is literally half the distance that Blink is at and connected to perfectly ( and those batteries have lasted for months ). Cost for connection- clearly in comparing the $250 something camera to $80 ish camera- connection isn't that important to Arlo. Subscription service for the recordings, I'm glad as of now that my service is still included, why charge for saving my bushes blowing and green screens.

Motion detection can be hot garbage at times and often I'll get videos that while the person is moving mid frame it stops video creating gaps in coverage where other times it records for 10 sec past the last movement. Clearly not 4k, download the videos directly off my 4k SD card and they are still too grainy to see a license plate unless they are close, feels like 720p or 1080p at best actually. Install and functionality is great but I bought these for 4k recording as a theft deterrent and I strongly feel they fall short on the primary function of high definition recordings. Despite having custom motion detection areas I feel the cameras struggle to recognize motion outside of a narrow focal range if you leave it wide open. I have a cam pointed at my front lawn with a sidewalk just above mid frame and it almost never picks up people walking past or up our stairs until they get almost to our door. As a camera system, I do like the ease of use and recording system with notifications but I'm dissappinted in the low rez quality and how it struggles to give me a complete video of a person moving within its field of view.

The Arlo camera works so great it even picks up bees and birds it’s a little funny seeing them on camera trying to figure out what’s a camera. The video quality is great and it’s cool that it saves the recording for so long. It has a nice look too. I really like the Ultra series 2 and would recommend getting. It has an adjustable vision and can catch a lot with its super wide view. Easy to install and even a light turns on like a motion light at night so you can see when you get home late at night.

We started with a Arlo Go 2 cellular camera for our construction build, but now since we have WiFi to the house, we purchased this set of the Ultra 2 & Woah! What great product! Seamlessly works wonderful in the app & backed-up to the microSD card. Camera has great resolution even in the rain & @ night. Even purchased the matching doorbell & chime, what a great package! If you’re reading bad reviews, they are probably for the lower quality ProS2 cameras. We had those too & returned them for this set of the Ultra 2. They are worth the upgrade$$$ We love the integration!

They are really difficult to operate you can records a prerecorded message instead of using the sirens. Even temu cameras have that option. The video quality sucks. I bought what i thought was the best and am seriously disappointed. If they disconnect from the base and you are out of town you cant reconnect until you are home and mine do it all the time so much for security.

Cameras work great. There is a 2 second delay between motion & start recording. I purchased a 400GB micro sd card and started using (see pics) the difference you have to download the image v. having it available + you can delete download but system will overwrite the SD card. I won’t need to pay monthly fee which was my plan for buying this device.

1). Too slow to capture. If a car enters my driveway, by the time they are shutting off their car, it finally starts recording. (YES - The sensitivity is adjusted) 2). Bait and switch - 4k - recording ONLY if I pay ARLO a monthly fee! So you DOWNGRADE my purchase if I don't pay you a FEE! Shameful... (YES - I KNOW I can still see {live} in a theoretical 4k if I'm home} - 3). Battery life!

Here is my review after 2 years of use. I’m very disappointed with this brand. The batteries barely last a couple of months, and the cameras often miss recording important moments, either skipping key details or cutting off early. The motion detection is poor, and to make things worse, I recently discovered the cameras aren’t weatherproof after finding water inside one of them. The solar panel I bought also failed after just a year, and their customer service has been terrible. I regret not getting the extended warranty from Best Buy.

Deeply disappointed with this product. Was told these were the best cameras on the market. The resolution seems great but becomes very grainy when zooming, I even upgraded our internet but that didn’t fix the problem. If one camera is recording the other one will not. I only have a small area to cover and motion was constantly missed or delayed as someone was walking out of the frame. Footage on the app would glitch freezing or showing a green screen. Notifications on app were not in real time either. Battery life is poor, installation is difficult and no option for privacy zone. Even worse trying to get any kind of customer support is impossible. Absolutely not worth the splurge but I wouldn’t buy this for any amount of money. Thankful total tech with Best Buy allowed for an exchange.
