GREAT BUY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was easy and the cameras connected to the app without issues. The 4K video looks super clear during the day and at night. I like the dual charging station since it keeps spare batteries ready. The yard sign was a nice bonus too. Some features require a subscription, which I wish was included for the price. Overall, it’s a solid system and I feel much safer having it installed.

Great system with seamless installation.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the easiest setup on a security system I’ve ever done. I’ve setup many for others over the years. The base unit and app make it extremely easy and versatile. The AI discrimination between animals and human signatures is outstanding. Hardest part was mounting the tracking camera in the garage, which works flawlessly. Night vision mode is also extremely useful and clear.

Good Cameras - Not a Fan of the Subscription Model
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the cameras. Not a big fan of Arlo’s subscription model. But I went ahead and signed up for a year anyway. The short version is at this time in my life, it was the fastest and easiest solution. I marked yes for would I recommend the cameras. But I would tell everyone of Arlo’s subscription model so they understand.

Complete package. High quality. Great Value.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this set/system really surprised me. From set-up, to install, ease of use, and performance. Set-up was a simple process for me. More or less follow some instructions and you should not have any issues. At all. Installation was more of the same for me, but I suppose that will depend on your specific situation. Regardless, the provided hardware worked for me and I think will for most as well. The cameras themselves really impressed me. Fantastic quality, day or night (all color). A very detailed, nice, crisp, and clear picture with a wide field of view. They also come with a real nice set of options and features. As does the app. Two-way audio. Motion detection (very quick). Deterrence features (spotlight and siren). Alerts. Notifications. All of these things work well, consistently, and timely. All of this works in the app, but I really like that the cameras work with my Google Home set-up. It seems all of the major players work here. As for the build, well, I can’t really say yet, but time will tell. I am confident that this will not be an issue. Everything seems well-built. We shall see. Given these are battery based, which l love due to there being no wires, I was very excited to see a dedicated charging station. I have never had this before and I think it is a great quality of life improvement. I don’t expect battery life to be an issue, but it is just nice to kind of have this covered going forward. If I had one issue with this system, it is that a subscription is required to use some of the premium features. I get it, and frankly, for the utility it provides, the price is reasonable and I suppose it is a good value. It is just “one more subscription.” I guess I just wished they offered a bit more for those without a subscription. That said, in the end, this is a very good system, and I think it is a very good value for all that you get. I would say check your use case and what you are looking for from a system like this, but if that aligns, I do think this would be a good choice for most.

Very nice 4k wireless cameras!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Arlo Ultra 3: Wireless 4K HDR security, 2nd-gen battery-powered, with a Dual charging station, is a DIYer's dream. Quick setup right out of the box, and you're off and going. The 4K cameras have a 3840x2160 resolution, offering very clear images and video. With a 180° field of view, you don't miss anything. Video is stored on a memory card and in the cloud. But the cloud requires a subscription, billed monthly or annually. Thanks to their durability and construction, you can install them both indoors and outdoors. They work in conditions down to -5, so there's not much to worry about the cold; they can also handle heat up to 140°. And you can communicate with people on the camera using a two-way mic and speaker. Night vision up to 25 ft in color. And a 24 frames-per-second refresh rate. Wi-Fi is very impressive, capable of up to 2 Mbps. And batteries are easily charged with charging pads. Arlo knocked it out of the park. The Arlo app, available on iOS and Android, gives you complete access to clips and live feeds, as well as 2-way communication with the person on camera. So if in search of cameras that can be easily installed check them out.

Easy battery swapping and great picture and AI.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cameras are almost a niche that works in some ways and is inconvenient in others. The cameras themselves have great picture quality, they have good battery life and they have a very good field of view. The battery life for us on a pretty active driveway seems like it will last a couple months. It's been in the 30s at night and 50s during the day so I'm not sure if the cold will affect that at all. The field of view is so wide I actually used one of the narrower modes on one of the cameras. They have 3 widths, but the thinnest width distorts the image somewhat so I went with the middle one. The extra/detachable batteries and chargers is great. It makes is much easier than having to remove the camera to charge. I've swapped them out to test a couple times and it takes 30 seconds once you reach the camera. The downside is that depending on where you have the camera mounted it can be difficult to get to. One of ours is about 16' up on the soffit so a solar panel would be a better option if they make one. I haven't checked that yet. The base unit looks nice and doesn't look bad sitting out on the desk where it was easy to wire into the network. The setup only took a few minutes which was great. I like that it has an option for local storage so I don't think you'll have to have a subscription, as Arlo's subscriptions have gotten very expensive. The AI object recognition has been working very well. It's gotten animals, people, vehicles all correct every time and almost always zooms in on that movement on the thumbnail delivered to the phone. The notifications normally come through as like a GIF so you can kind of tell what movement was happening without opening the video. That's very convenient. The only reason I'm ranking 4 stars is because I cannot tell exactly what functions I'm going to lose once the complimentary trial period expires. I don't normally intend on paying subscriptions for cameras to work so hopefully these are still as functional once that's done. So far they've been great and if you want something that's easy to swap a battery on instead of charging each camera this would be an awesome option.

Way too much upselling. Decent cameras.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll just say up front that most of my mediocre response to these cameras had to do with how many ads and other upsells you have to deal with and weed through in the app. The cameras are decent enough and they're pretty easy to set up. It just, already, annoys me how many ads I have to look at in the app while already owning Arlo cameras. Setup is easy enough. The biggest issue I ran into is that this bundle contains two power supply cords but doesn't label which one goes to which item. The jacks are the same size and looking at the quick start guide I kind of thought the larger supply looked like the one they had in the tiny picture for the hub. After wondering why the charger station wasn't working for a while, I realized I had them switched around. If you squint a lot, you can barely make out the power requirements for each item and then squint some more to find the specs of the power supply unit. A simple sticker that was easy to peal off would have been wonderful to give you an indicator about which power supply goes with which item. After you get that sorted out, plugging the hub in to power and ethernet powers it up and makes it discoverable in the Arlo app. The app walks you through all of the categories of items you can add and even does a pretty good job at helping you know which version of the equipment you have by telling you which type of USB port it has or where buttons are located. Connecting cameras to the hub was just as simple. Everything just took a little bit of time for firmware updates on the initial setup but otherwise it was all straight forward. The app is just not fun to use. In order to add these cameras, I was told I needed to "upgrade" my app. It didn't require a new download on my phone or anything, the app just paused for 10 seconds saying it was upgrading and then it was done. But the new "streamlined" interface just doesn't flow very well at all. It feels like things aren't in intuitive places and it takes some real thought to figure out how to navigate it. I'm sure if you use the app enough you can get used to it but it just doesn't feel good to use in general. And that's before even mentioning how many ads you have to wade through in just regular use. There's a big banner across the top of the app what seems like at all times. There's banner ads mixed into your feed of motion events. Every screen just screams at you to buy more Arlo stuff or purchase one of their subscription plans. This is in an app for controlling a not inexpensive set of hardware you already bought. Just leaves a real icky feeling all over. Then there's the subscriptions. There's a $30/mo and a $20/mo subscription. They both include unlimited cameras which is nice at least. The $30/mo plan includes "Home Insurance Discount" and "Arlo Safe App Family Subscription" as well as "24/7 professional monitoring" and "Emergency response" on top of all the AI detection features and expanded cloud storage that the $20/mo plan includes. I will say, I got a trial subscription with another Arlo camera I got and that did seem to clear up the ads (until the trial expires). So you can add that as another perk to being a subscriber, I guess. If you're looking for 24/7 continuous recording, there's a separate subscription that costs $15/mo... PER CAMERA. So right back to the icky feeling here. As far as the cameras go. They're nice enough. The 4K quality seems pretty good. I really like ultra-wide lens to get more of the room or outdoors in the frame. You can even adjust how wide the FOV is if you're looking to keep an eye on a smaller area. Everything is fairly basic and standard with most cameras that I've used. I do find it funny that there's a setting for color night vision, but you can't use that setting if you turn the spotlight off... so their idea of color night vision is just shine visible light at your scene. The standard infared night vision is fine too. Another strange decision is that they included 2 magnetic mounts and 1 standard screw in mount in the box. Couldn't spring for 3 of each so you could decide which way you want to mount all 3 of them, I guess. The cameras aren't really a thing I have a problem with. They aren't mind blowing or anything but they get the job done. The quality looks good enough if you have a good signal. The battery life is pretty good and it's awesome that it comes with charging station so you can have two batteries (this bundle contains 1 extra battery, so you'll need to buy another one if you want two extras) on standby ready to swap in whenever one of the cameras starts to get low. Homekit is also supported out of the box but no secure video. So you can view your cameras in your Home app but you won't be able to review clips or anything like that. So all in all, I don't dislike this camera system. It works well. It's easy enough to set up. If you have your hub in a good spot to get good coverage on all of your cameras, you should have some smooth sailing. Being able to watch cameras in Home is a big plus as well since navigating the Arlo app just isn't fun for me. I feel like I will dread the time when my subscription trial expires and I need to review a clip in the app. If the app's functionality isn't a dealbreaker for you and you don't mind being yelled at constantly to buy more stuff, then maybe this system is for you. But I feel like you can shop around and find something that doesn't just want to squeeze you for every penny you have.

Great Camera but paywall
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Arlo cameras. They are some of the best on the market and these 3rd generation Ultra cameras are no exception. These camera offer great 4k quality that is unmatched in most areas. They also feature a spot light that works great for motion. They also have excellent night vision. The battery life is super long too. I have had them for a few weeks now and haven't had to charge. The base station is great as well and offers an option to store video locally which is great for those looking to avoid the cloud. The Arlo app is easy to use and works great to set up the cameras. There are tons of smart options to set activity zones, smart notifications and so much more. Some of these features are unfortunately behind a paywall but if you're willing to pay for the subscription there are some great camera features. Overall these are excellent security cameras with the most features on the market. They are easy to set up, the app works super well. I would recommend these to someone looking for the best on the market.

4K Makes A Difference
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are like me and are a little worried about who or what is roaming around your yard and you feel the need for protection, this is a great set up for you. This set comes with 3 cameras, the home base/hub, a dual charger, 4 batteries (it is nice to have a spare), two magnetic mounts and a screw in mount. They include the screws for putting the mounts in place. The cameras have 4K video for a very clear image. With the 180 degree range you have a wide view of most things in the area that you choose to put the cameras in. You have the color night vision so you can see the things that go bump in the night. I appreciate the spotlight on these cameras, because it helps with the quality of the video with low light areas. I have one on my walkway on the side of my house and it helps people walking to the door at night to see their way better. The night vision with these cameras is exceptional. I like the clarity these cameras have with 4K video. You can view things so much better whether it is day or night. This also comes with an Arlo sticker and a sign to put up if you desire to do so. The battery life on these cameras varies depending on how much they catch on camera. The average usage is about 6 months before needing to recharge the batteries. To set up these cameras you will need the Arlo Secure app. Follow the instructions on the app to set up the cameras and find the best location for them. The app also offers one free month of the subscription to get the full experience of what the Arlo cameras can do. I highly recommend getting the subscription so that you can view your cameras from anywhere when you are out and away from your home and it makes it much, much easier for reviewing anything caught on these cameras on the app. Should you decide not to get the subscription, you are limited on what and how you can use the cameras. You can view live feeds, use the two-way talking, adjust settings and get motion notifications. You can, however, insert an SD card in the hub/home-base and it will save recordings and you can view them on your computer or laptop. You will have to remove the SD card and put it into your laptop or computer to view any footage saved on the card. If you do have an Arlo subscription there is so much more you can do as stated above. There are two different subscriptions, but the basics are that you have a 60 day video history of all recordings, person and vehicle detection, also package and animal detection. I love these features the most. I like having the notification pop up telling when a package has arrived or if there is a person or animal in my yard. These Arlo cameras are of excellent quality and clarity. I have Arlo 2K cameras and they still work flawlessly and I will keep those in case I need to add more cameras at some point. Because of the experience I have had with my 2k Arlo cameras, I have no doubt these 4k cameras will not disappoint me. The reason I decided to upgrade to these 4K is because of the updates with clarity and added bonuses as stated above. You will keep your home safer and have peace of mind thanks to Arlo.

Best home cameras I’ve used hands down
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I got this Arlo Ultra 3-camera bundle a few weeks back, and I have to say, I’m really impressed so far. i’ve used other cheaper cameras before but this one feels way more pro. i was a little nervous setting it up cause i’m not super techy but it was actually really easy. the app walks you through everything and i had all 3 up and running in like 20 mins maybe. The video quality is wild. it’s 4k hdr and i can literally see like every little thing, license plates, ppl’s faces, even my neighbor’s cat sneaking into my yard lol. the 180 degree view is nice too, i didn’t even need as many cams as i thought cause it covers so much. night vision is awesome too, it’s not all grainy like the older arlo i used to have. you can still see color even when it’s pretty dark which kinda shocked me. the 2 way audio is clear, i’ve talked to delivery drivers a couple times with it and they could actually hear me. mounting them was pretty simple. the magnetic mounts are nice cause i can just pop the cam off to charge it or move it a little if i need. the bundle came with everything, even a dual charger so i can charge two batteries at once which is handy cause the battery life isn’t forever. i prob get around 8-10 days depending on how much motion is going on but that’s fine since it’s easy to swap out. The app’s got a ton of features, maybe a little too many lol, but once you get used to it it’s great. i like that it sends me alerts right away when it detects a person or movement. it’s pretty accurate too, not just going off every time a tree moves. You can tell it’s a quality setup. build feels solid, video’s crazy clear, and it just works how it should. Plus i didn’t have to run any wires or do anything complicated which is a win for me. All around, i’m super happy with it. feels good knowing my house and yard are covered and i can check the cams anytime from my phone. if you’re thinking about getting it i’d say just go for it, this is one of those times where spending a bit more really pays off.

almost there
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: • The 4K HDR picture quality is excellent — crisp, detailed, and color-accurate both day and night. Even in shaded or sun-heavy areas, clarity remains impressive. • Cloud and local storage options give flexibility for managing recordings without feeling locked into a single ecosystem. • The cameras handle extreme temperatures really well — no overheating issues even through 115°F Phoenix days. • The Arlo app and web portal make checking footage, managing alerts, and adjusting zones quick and intuitive. • Battery life is solid, usually lasting several weeks per charge, and the included dual charging station with an extra battery is a great touch for quick swaps. • Setup is straightforward, and the magnetic mounts make it easy to reposition cameras for better angles. • Motion detection sensitivity and notification speed are generally reliable once dialed in. The Bad: • There’s sometimes a few-second (or longer) delay when trying to view a live event after motion is detected, which can make real-time monitoring less dependable. • Several features — like rich notifications, advanced object detection, and longer cloud history — sit behind a subscription paywall. • Cameras occasionally show “device offline” even when aWi-Fi signal is strong. Simply waiting some unknown amount of time will generally bring the camera back online, but not exactly good for coverage. • The app could use a bit more polish; occasionally it takes a few taps to get a live feed to load or refresh properly. Overall: Arlo Ultra delivers impressive 4K image quality, flexible storage options, and thoughtful design touches that make it great for everyday home security. The system’s performance is close to top-tier, but the small delays and intermittent disconnects keep it from perfection. A solid 4-star rating from me — once live viewing becomes consistently reliable, it’ll easily earn five.

This is a superb camera security system!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my Gen 1 system with this one and wow, what a difference. First the image quality is superior both for videos and photos and the connectivity to the camera system/base seemed to be a lot better than my old one. I was able to easily swap them all out and connect them in a couple hours and I ordered some solar panels to connect to them to keep them charged. My prior ones kept a good charge on batteries but the solar panels made a huge difference saving all the trouble of running wires. Setup was super easy, just download the app, scan and follow the instructions to pair the cameras to the base and you're up in only a few minutes. The longest part of the install was getting out the ladder and mounting them where the old ones were. While these don't come with the solar panels the ones I had from before worked great with an adapter that I had to use on the old ones but these worked without the adapter. Once setup, you get a trial of the premium subscription so you can try out all the features and determine what's best for your security needs. They do work great without the subscription but don't have all of the features so that'd probably be my only negative gripe with them. The auto tracking is pretty cool and seems to work pretty well. They connect to your smart home and where I have a Samsung SmartTV, if someone rings the doorbell the doorbell cam comes up and you can pull up any of these cameras on the TV. Image quality both during the day and night on these cameras is superb, it's better than the gen 1's that I had and would definitely recommend these as an upgrade or a new install. If you want a system that is reliable, Arlo's system is easy to use and for me has been very reliable. I'd definitley recommend this system with all of the advanced features and quality. The AI part works pretty good and even better now with the latest gen.

Fantastic
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arlo has definitely grown on me. I love the simplicity of this camera system. The cosmetics are good. The cameras blend in around the outside of my house and don't stand out too much to be an eye sore. Mounting is super easy to do and very quick to do. The magnetic style of the mounts is next level. It holds the cameras in place very well but also allows to be removed easily when needing to charge them. Setup of the whole system is simple. The cameras and base linked effortlessly and I tested each one before I mounted the cameras outside. The views are great. The camera has a pretty good area it shows. I'm impressed with how wide the viewing angles are. The color and night vision both display very well. The quality of the playback video and live feed is great. It's very sharp and has good detail and the 4k resolution just makes it look great. The two way audio feature is cool. I told the mail man to leave my packages at the door a couple times. He heard me loud and clear. Charging the batteries is great with the dual charging dock. I charged them before setting them all up. Overall, Arlo is still top notch for a wireless security system.

Amazing Image
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Arlo Ultra 3 Wireless Cameras with 4K HDR provide a super nice and crisp image. The Install is very simple. The Arlo app will guide the user through the process to program and mount the cameras at your desired location. It does come with a battery charger; however, the cameras themselves can be connected with a USB-C connector, and it can be charged like that also. The cameras do have a super bright LED light in the front. The package comes with all mounting hardware and 2 magnetic mounts and one that screws on. Overall, a very well-built camera with amazing features. If you have more than one Arlos device in your arsenal you can manage with the mobile app as well. The cameras slide out and have a shell that surrounds them to protect them from the weather. I am super satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it to someone who is looking for a simple to install product that offers an amazing image for your security needs. Lastly, I forgot to mention they are motion activated and may serve as a night light in you decide to place them inside your home.
