Customers are pleased with the Surfboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Voice Cable Modem's ease of use, performance, and price. Many found setup to be straightforward, and the modem generally performed as expected, delivering good value for the cost. However, some users experienced compatibility issues with providers other than Xfinity. A few customers also noted that additional equipment, such as a router, might be necessary for optimal functionality.

Known to be an applicable approved Xfinity device but, it is slow for a residential two or more level home. For Internet, look for a different device because it's not for your Internet.

Excellent cable modem. Recommended by Comcast/XFINITY, Cox, and SuddenLink for up to gig-speed internet. Plus, it comes with a capability that ISP-provided modems do not: the capacity for a battery backup to maintain your connectivity even during brief to moderate power outages. Backup battery sold separately, of course.

Great modem as an upgrade for an older Arris model. I was able to use the battery backup from the old one in this model too. Was easy to activate with Comcast-only took about 15min on the phone with them.

I bought this to avoid paying Comcast rental fees. In speed tests the best I achieved was 302.63 Mbps, the lowest was 293.29 Mbps. A nice improvement from my old Motorola which maxed out at 137Mbps.

great solution if you want to stop renting your modem.
Double check it supports your provider and you might need some tech help over the phone to set it up with your provider.

Not as compatible as other modems. Only works with designated providers this was unable to use to fix the issue I needed to fix. Huge Arris fan just can’t speak to the unit any further due to its lack of versatility with integrating with service providers.
