I was tired of paying monthly for my router with Comcast only to get less mbs that I was paying for, so changed my router and I am getting more mbs than before.

Bought this router to use with Cox internet. Didn’t want to rent their equipment. Plugged it in and followed the directions for self installation. Worked perfectly. Never had a dropped signal or slow speed. Have multiple devices connected at the same time. Online gaming, multiple phones, multiple computers and steaming services and the connection is still strong.

I just switched over from renting comcast modem/router for some years and decided to go with this surfboard model. It's a great product for the price. The range may not be as extensive as my old rental but my house sits on a hill so I knew I eventually had to do multiple hot spots so I ended up older routers i had around to extend coverage to father parts of my front and back yard.

Great all in one product. Easy to set up and has very good coverage for my house. Nice to have it be a modem and a router and not take up much space on my desktop.

This router does everything i needed it to do, i wish i paid more attention to the number of ethernet slots cause i forgot i needed more than 2 but thats my own fault, other than that the signal is good it reaches from one end of my house upstairs to the back yard in 2.4ghz and reaches my downstairs kitchen in 5ghz, (backyard and kitchen are close by but just about beats the 5ghz range

Great Customer Service from Arris & Best Buy

I had never upgraded my router (it was about 8 years old) and my internet provided 's faster speed would not communicate with my equipment. After much research, I decided to upgrade and purchase this modem/router combination. Evidently the 1st one I purchased was a lemon but Best Buy graciously allowed it's return and with the help of a very good rep at Arris, this unit was set up and I can now successfully keep a connection throughout my house. Set up was easy (I am not a tech person) and decided to call Arris to be sure I was doing things correctly. The unit is very attractive and so far, so good. The 1st unit I purchased may have been dropped or something before I purchased it because it simply would not keep a connection and the unit would be quite hot to the touch. So, a big thank you to both Best Buy and Arris in making this a good decision.

The instructions were very easy to understand and it was breeze to set up. This router is a better option to "leasing" a router from the internet cable/internet provider. We decided to purchase a home router to upgrade security/privacy and reduce our monthly bill. We've had a few issues since the purchase but I'm sure it's the cable/internet provider and not the router.

Small, compact, Runs a bit hot but does the job good. No issues so far. If you want something for a nice size apartment or area this will do the job. If you have a much larger home, I would go with its brother whos alot bigger.

My opinion could be skewed because a: my last modem was so old and slow; b: the router was unreliable and had a weak signal so c: I had to use a router extender to reach the whole house, which was also unreliable. I would have to reboot one of the 3 items on a semi weekly basis. So far this item provided faster service, and sends a signal to at least every place in the house I've tried to retrieve a signal, without needing an extender. I don't wirelessly download huge files aside from using the Tivo app to transfer to my phone or tablet. But even there, a 1gb movie took 1/3rd the time of my previous set up, if the previous set up had a successful transfer at all. My experience with setting up these sorts of things is limited but this seemed to be a good purchase for me.

I had been using a Motorola Surfboard Docsis 1.0. It was nearly 10 years old and was out of date and showing signs that it might be nearing end of life. A little research showed that this Arris/Motorola Docsis 3.0 Surfboard would be an excellent replacement and update. After contacting my IP and getting them to exchange the MAC address, it was up and running. WiFi setup was easy and all our devices were able link up within minutes. The increased WiFi bandwidth certainly did not hurt. Security setup was also straightforward.
