Super easy to hook up. Arris support very helpful. Speed is very fast. The only reason it did not get a 5 is that it goes off line often.

I just wanted something easy to setup. Has a very good range and a fast connection. Found it cheaper at a competitors store and they matched the price with no questions asked.

I had this router for a month already. So far, it's been great. It reaches far all the way to the street. (100feet) it's fast and haven't shutdown like other routers. Must buy.

I bought this item after realizing that I had been paying to rent a modem and router from the cable company, as this moderately expensive unit would pay itself off in less than two years (and I would own it!). Based on my past experience, I had always assumed that wifi in general was a hit or miss system, as I could often not load the simplest webpages using Safari. After purchasing this unit, I'm very impressed in almost every way. The webpages now load ridiculously fast, and I've NEVER dropped my signal while using it. The only feat that I would like to see improved is the range. While the range is overall "good" (and better than any unit I've personally seen), I would like to be able to call it "great." Reading other reviews, it appears to me that the best route to go is a top-end Arris modem and the new Netgear Nighthawk; that said, that's a MUCH more expensive option than this 2-in-1 unit. Bottom line: This is an outstanding unit that I believe 99% of people would be very happy with. If you're the 1% that wants the absolute best of the best, I would suggest the combination I had mentioned above.

We were replacing a 5 yearly Surfboard router that was starting to fail. Picked this one up and was second guessing the price. It's worth every penny!!!! We have multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE!) devices running all the time and this thing stays super fast. Great purchase!!!!

This was recommended by one of the BB employees and I am very happy with the performance. I had no problem setting it up and it has been working perfectly. The people at Best Buy are always helpful and answer all my questions. I don't shop for electronics anywhere else.

Best Buy sales associate was knowledgable to help us choose the right modem for our needs. Spectrum Time Warner cable TV and ISP and digital phone service activated the modem fine so we could get rid of the monthly lease on their modem which is why a lot of people buy their own and we could keep the modem for free to use the digital phone which they also reactivated. just so you know that’s info I wanted to know before I bought it and only saw one review elsewhere that pointed that out. The WiFi pairing push button prominently displayed on the top of the Arris didn’t work with our MacBook Pro Retina and iPad Air2 from Best Buy. I called Arris tech support only waited a few minutes and he spent as much time as needed with me. he was knowledgeable and helpful. he walked me thru resetting the modem on the back so we could enter the proper passwords etc on their modem web manager site. it worked. The MacBook Pro Retina and iPad Air2 we both from Best Buy showed both a 2.4G and 5G networks. At the end I asked why the button didn’t work and he said it’s not Mac compatible. Maybe the instructions said that and I didn’t get to it. it should have a label on top imho. The user guide PDF has lots of info in it. but that’s why the quick start guide info didn’t work apparently. Also look up info on the differences between 2,.G and 5G networks. I was able to set up both but it defaults to 2.4G. Bottom line it is a very good dual band modem and the bright yellow stop call tech support before returning it to the store is what you should do if it doesn’t seem to work right away. The modem is really a motorola branded as Arris and the Best Buy employee verified that which is good to know it’s not an off brand that showed up out of nowhere otherwise I would have been a little skeptical why everyone recommended it. I hope that info helps. It’s the type of info I wanted to know prior to purchasing. I always by with confidence at Best buy.

Bought it to replace a provider supplied modem and Cisco e2000 wifi router. The e2000 running dd-wrt was a severe bottleneck and simply didn't have the throughput to handle a 155mbs WAN internet connection. Wifi would struggle to beat 10mbs and wired would max out at around 35mbs. This unit is ludicrously fast in comparison and has made a huge difference to my home network performance. The wireless ac gives super fast transfer rates, and my wan Internet connection consistently runs at about 185mbs, even though my service is 155. A high quality product that is worth paying the higher price for. Only reason I've not given it 5 stars is because I had to return the first unit as it was faulty and wouldn't connect properly to the WAN.

After reading reviews, I found that this modem would be the best for my high speed internet with Comcast. Also, I found the modem for a cheaper price elsewhere and Best Buy price matched it!

We have had this router for about a month and it's by far the best router we've ever owned. It reaches outside which is great for us since we spend the majority of time there. This is a must have router if you're looking for a good one.

The Arris SURFboard was procured as a replacement to a Motorola product when Comcast improve its speed. The combination modem and router was easy to install and integrate with various devices. Loading and operational speeds have improved. Note, you will need to place the device in an office or study as it emits a considerable amount of light through the LED connectivity display.

Comcast was giving me a problem because they kept saying if was my modem that was old and not their service. So i bought this to test it out. It does it's job and functions fine. It also showed me that it was Comcast speed issues and not a modem issue. I am going to keep the Arris though since my modem is older anyway and this would be a nice upgrade. Definitely would recommend this if you need a modem or just want a more modern one.

I bought this Modem Router because it was on Time Warner Cables list of approved Modems for their service. It works Great. Especially since it is on the 1st Floor and I use devices on the 2nd Floor with No problem

This model replaced the one from comcast. I am saving $8.00 per month. The speed is about 3 times as fast. This unit does not have landline phone jack input so I had to purchase separate. Should have done this a long time ago.

We purchased this to replace our older Surfboard due to the frequent lose of WIFI signal. This was recommended by a Best Buy associate and it was definitely worth the upgrade! No more lost signal and the speed is consistent.

I purchased one rather then leasing from the Internet provider and I am very impressed I got it because I needed a high speed router and this one is definitely good and keeps up with my internet speed I will recommended

Strong signal. Very fast, easy to set up. Very convenient and takes up less space than separate cable modem and router.

This is a great product; works as described and ready for use right out of the box. The only thing I would say is that the security key could have been more prominent and easier to find for setup.

With the increase in the number of WiFi devices, we needed more router power. We purchased this primarily because of the dual band which is quite effective. It provides good signal strength, even on the opposite side of the apartment. Setup is easy. Glad that is provides sufficient wired connections that we can also connect the network hard drive for our backups.

Easy to setup ... plug and play. Had to call Cable Provider so they can register the unit (you must give them the ID Numbers) from the box. Works great and broadcasts a strong signal throughout the house.
