Got this modem after having a Netgear and boy am I happy I made the switch. My internet is way faster and more consistent. Plus the range on this instrument is mind blowing. If you need a new modem that will last you for years, then look into this.

This modem router works perfectly, providing speeds higher than my current subscription. Easy to set up, but note that if you have to call Comcast Xfinity to set up, they may ask for a C MAC ID, which is labeled as HFC MAC ID on this device.

Works great with my Verizon plan. Much better yo invest in this device than paying these service providers a monthly rent. My internet speed is great and I have had no issues with it at all. Was pretty easy to set up as well.

For the longest time, I wondered why my modem wasn't producing the download speed I purchased. I realized that although it advertised a max download speed, the number of channels it had mattered just as much, and mine had so few that the download speed was being clogged (8x4 Arris modem.) I bought this because of it's max download speed and number of channels (24x8) and it has worked like a charm since. Not only that, it has boosted my download speed closer to 290mbps when I've purchased 250. I wish I has known about the number of channels and bought this sooner, but I'm glad I finally have the right one now.

We upgraded from an older outdated model and this one is so much better and we don’t have to constantly restart it. We can get WiFi in our backyard when before if we walked in our garage it would lose connection.

Previous routers didn’t supply enough signal strength to reach from my first to 3rd floor. My speed test on the third floor is always as strong on the third floor as it is on the first floor.

I purchased this modem to avoid fees from the cable company. It works great. My family is constantly streaming and using wifi, we've not had a single issue.

I recently was able to get FIOS run to my rural area. The representative from the Internet company I now have recommended this modem to me. It does handle gigabit internet and devices directly plugged in get an excellent speed (300-400 mgb/sec). I would say that as a router it does fairly well in a limited space without a lot of walls. However my house is rather wide with several walls and approximately 4500 square feet. As a router, it is unable to push the Wi-Fi very far throughout the house effectively. I did however combine it with a mesh Wi-Fi network from Linksys and now have excellent Internet throughout the entire house. In a more limited space I'm sure this modem/router combo could do well on it's own. But if you have a larger house, I'd consider a stronger router or a mesh Wifi system.

Switched from my carriers modem to this one and my performance was increased hugely. The WiFi range is great and the price is hard to beat.

Replaced a 5 year old wireless 5G router with the Arris Surfboard. The old router was unable to refresh firmware and was running slower than AOL in 1980. Nice upgrade with some new tech. It was pretty much plug and play with the help of an Arris App for my phone and I pad. The App takes the guesswork out of IP addresses and passwords etc. The new router is much faster and allows lots of streaming for multiple devices. There were much cheaper options but not being a techie I elected to buy the best I could afford and eliminate the guesswork.

Same router/wifi system the cable company rents for larger $$$ and continues every month. Easy set-up. Great range and speed for Wi-Fi.

I’ve had other routers in past from cable companies, the Arris is by far the best, it’s reliable and the WiFi range is excellent

I decided to purchase a compatible modem to work with my Comcast service. I was paying $13 a month and by buying this I will be getting my money back with the savings per month. The quality of this modem is better than the rental one. The modem was one of the easiest to set up. Very plug and play. I was worried I would have to buy a separate router to hit spots in my larger home, but the built in Wi-Fi was strong enough. I highly recommend this modem.

Got this because I had the basic Arris modem and didn't feel I was getting enough power. The 346mbps 8x4 simply wasn't enough. My internet barely touched close to what I was supposed to be getting (average 134 mbps, paying for 250 from Comcast.) Plugging this in was an immediate improvement. Not only did I get a major speed boost, I've been average closer to 290mbps now. Huge step up to improve your speed if you have plenty of connected devices.

This router has a great range and is undoubtedly the fastest I’ve ever owned. Totally worth it

Easy to set up and not as bulky or as heavy as my prior unit.
