We have to reset it often, sometimes multiple times during 1 day. It would be nice if it was just on and worked all the time. We have talked about returning it and renting one from Comcast.

My Mother-in-law needed to get a modem so I picked this up for her. Surfboard has worked great!

So after 2yrs from purchase (09/02/14) it is now acting up where i have to reboot the modem constantly to get a connection. From what little I know this looks to be how most modems are produced, after a couple of years they are caput...

Fantastic purchase. Clears up clutter by combining router and modem into one unit. Cover 1600sqft with ease.

So far item works great with no issues did not want to rent router from comcast defiantly worth the purchase

Easy set up / install, and I haven't had any issues yet with it! No issues with range in my 2000 sf house

Bought for family they are not tech savvy. They installed it alone with no problem. love it.

The first day it was setup it was great. After that, kept disconnecting frequently throughout the day. When it would connect, my speeds were very slow. I've since returned it and bought a separate modem and router and have had no further issues.

I purchased this modem/router combo because an associate at best buy recommend it to me, my internet was set two weeks later so I didn't have time to test it before the return time period ended and when finally was able to check the performance I found out that this product losses connection and makes my devices to run very slow. Very disappointed.

This baby was plug in and go with great speed. All our devices run great. Highly recommend this product.

It has been a month now since I purchased this, so I think it is ok to leave a review now. I have to say that I would not recommend this modem. It was ok to set up. It worked ok for the first week or so. Thats when things started to fall apart. Could not get WiFi on any devise in the house. The signal was there, all the devices said the signal was good or strong, but could not connect. Here we go. Unplug the modem, plug it back in, good signal for a while, maybe 2 or 3 days, unplug the modem again, plug it back in, maybe get a signal, maybe not. Call tech support, they have me change channels to a lesser used one, reconnect for a while, maybe a day or two, no signal again, over and over we go. Im sorry, there is a signal. Again a good or strong signal that all my devices see, but can not connect too, until I unplug and reset or get into the modems setup and change channels evey day or two or maybe even three if im lucky. This is not good. No good at all. If I could find the receipt for this thing, I would have brought it back to the store after the second or third time, but of course I can't find it so I am on my 12th or 13th time in playing with this thing now. The only reason I even give it 2 stars is because it does have a good signal when it does work. Sorry. Something that costs this much should actually, you know, "Work". It's not like I went out and bought the cheapest modem on the shelf. This was the 2nd most expensive one there. And it did have some good reviews out there, but it did have some warnings too, and this was one of those warnings. So beware if this is the modem you decide on.

We have an average size home and the signal for this router and modem does not reach to all parts of our home.

Bought this as part of getting Comcast/XFinity service. Does everything it needs to up to now.

System easy to set up and works fine. Although password on box x is different than configured in system

My family and I were looking for a new router in which we didn't want to pay our cable company $4.00 a month to rent a router from them. Then I purchased the Surfboard Extream. About a month in use and I love it, we have a very fast connection which is perfect for taking online class work and watching streming video from my Roku box. Thus if your are looking for a great router for a great price, then check this router out. You will not be dissapointed.
